Id Dead island does this i may have to unleash the zombie horde on the developers |

I'm over 30 hours in and just now close to finishing all the ambient missions (basically its version of collectables). |

 | Comment #10 by CenozoicZombie Friday, July 29, 2011 @ 08:42:54 PM Well if there are that many things to collect, and the island isn't overly large, then one would think it wouldn't be that difficult to get all of them. Surely there will be some that are in some obscure places, but I think they'll be highlighted or something to make it a little more bearable. Hopefully when doing co-op everyone either gets credit or everyone is able to collect every collectible. How bad would that be if you were playing co-op, trying to get some of the last collectibles you need and someone who you're playing with keeps picking them up. |

They're audio files or documents that provide back story about why the island has zombies, so I'm actually really excited to find them all. There are some games whose collectibles are just a chore (Assassin's Creed flags anyone?) but these are worth finding because they advance the story. Awesome! |

This one is insanely easy to do, is actually fun, and like #27 said, it carries over to all your characters, there are 140 in the game, but you only need 120. I got this achievement before even getting to ACT III. |

I got the same collectables over and over again because I ran 4 different characters. Actually, now that I think about it, I somehow managed to get this before the achievement for completing act 1. |
 | Comment #30 by Jack12 Monday, September 12, 2011 @ 11:32:33 AM Very easy way of doing this: Firstly, you've needed to complete that game, then go to PLAY > New game/save (not sure what it was again!)> Then, choose the character you've completed the game with > New game > Don't do the prologue (Press B); You will be spawned were you encounter the lifeguard inside the the beach house; Go to the back room where you see a man and a woman on the bed; where you see them, the collectable will be on the left. Once you've done this, you WILL have to quit the game. Now, delete the save and do the same steps above. It'll carry over so don't worry. |

I found 140, completed the challenge, continued with the game and found around 20 more, all in 1 playthrough. |

Also in the sewers there is a pile of 3 or so skulls with arrows pointing to them but u cant interact with it in any way. The skulls also dont show in ur inventory. |

| Comment #38 by WmDXXIV Saturday, September 17, 2011 @ 05:38:10 AM @37 the skulls are hidden easter eggs, if you have on check out the forum posts as they tell you the location they go in, once you've put them in the location if you have enough mmoney and diamonds they will create a special weapon such as the left hand of gova, which is an electrified fist, or plague bearing knife there's 6 altogether I think |

They do carry over. I just dinged it with my third toon and I don't have anyone past act II yet. Peice of cake. |

You could of just goggled all the locations and it would gotten everyone the there and back again achievement. Would of made a ton more sense! |

 | Comment #45 by onebigeric Tuesday, January 17, 2012 @ 01:33:09 PM There are actually a surplus of collectibles throughout the game, meaning that via the most recent patch there are more than enough items to fill both the collecting achievements and the associated challenge while still having ID Cards, Facts, and Schematics to pick up in the latter portion of the game. Light exploration paired with main and side story progression will knock this out easily. |
