Got this my second try only because I've been playing this game for 20 years. I know the levels like the back of my hand, and with practice you will too. Stay alive as much as possible and KILL KILL KILL. You will receive extra lives based on points. Know when to duck, slow down, run, where to shoot, when to shoot... The spread Gun works GREAT during the levels, but the laser will take down a boss before you can blink your eye. Good Luck, its pretty tough for a Contra beginniner. Practice makes (almost) perfect!

  • Im a freak at Contra and this acheivement is One of the toughest.. Got all but this one..
  • This was a pretty fun challenging Achievement IMO. :) Easies way i found of doing this, is mainly using the spreadgun, only died once during my whole playthough, and that was at the final Boss.
  • Can somebody please explain how the extra lives system works? I mean I got 30,000 points in stage 1 and earned an extra life, but then when I got 60,000 another like did not pop. Nor did it pop at 80,000. Without realizing, at some point in the waterfall I looked up and I had Rest 04. WHAT THE HELL IS THE RHYME OR REASON TO IT ALL?!?!?!
  • did anybpdy notice that the game will not let you camp someplace and just spawn kills to earn extra lives? I was doing this on the first stage and all of a sudden out of nowhere... some weird objects came from off the screen, surrounded me, and killed me. I was like WTF?!?!?!?!?!?!
  • Yeah, MetalheadMatt... Konami arcade games ALL do that! I was playing Missing in Action (in Game Room) and trying to rack up a high score by standing in one place and killing easy enemeies, but after a minute or so, the game starts throwing incentives at you to keep moving, like prematurely throwing more difficult enemies your way, or even bombing you from the top of the screen with some enemy you'd otherwise never see anywhere else in the game!! I discovered the exact same thing in the arcade version of Rush n' Attack, which I was playing through last night for achievements. I suspect EVERY Konami arcade games does this. They just don't want to make things too easyfor you...
  • Easily the hardest one for me, but the laser gun is so powerful once I got used to it I got it in about a week. Funny thing is I always hated the laser in every other Contra game.
