Using riotshields i was able to get up to 12/16 so far, and still working on them...

You don't have to clear level 15 just reach it and in some sense you don't even have to reach it. Several times on level 14 have I fallen prey to claymores or grenades after clearing out the enemies. If you do the same and the count down timer is present and you die it still counts as level 15. I got this achievement playing solo and had level 16 + on all missions excluding 1 which was level 14 with enemies cleared on level 14 and still got the achievement. So don't panic if you clear level 14 and die. It counts.

I find these guns pretty suitable: L86 LSW takes helicopters and juggernauts down easy and M16A4 is accurate and quite powerful through later waves as well. Delta squad is also very usable: when they cant anymore provide that much damage they will still distract enemies. These insane maps aren't that hard to do alone when you just keep refilling ammo, flashes, armor and squads between waves and always make sure your not cornered.

I hate the start where i get a stupid m412 gun to start with. Thst gun seems to be not registering the bullets most of the time. The most common trick to hard mode is to know where the enemies are spawning. As soon as the round starts go to ur closet spawn place and kill 2 or 3 enemies with striker. Round 1: kill first enemy and pick up the mp5 u get. Keep killing with m412 until u have to. first 3 rounds, use mp5 only if necessary and collect ammo till 180. After round 3 u should atleast have 5000 to buy striker its in the shot gun section. Ditch m412 and get that striker with foregrip.. Round 4: save 2500 for predetor missile as round 5 has juggernaut and

The claymore experts are really a hassle when you have juggernauts and helicopters present. On the insane difficulty money is harder to come by, but the waves before wave 15 are easier. Id recommend using a predator missile for the single juggernauts, flashbangs and an air strike on two juggernauts (kite them around and group them up, then let the AC-130 take them down) and then a Riot Shield squad around wave 13 to make sure you can push through to 15. This is all for solo, I didn't do any with a partner so ymmv.
