Green Craws (Green): Weak against Fire. * A Hellfire will do the job. |

On the start menu, go into the XBOX Live menu and look for some level 69 people that are playing in the DLC. 9/10 times, they'll all be hunting crawmerax for better weapons. Join the game, hide whilst they fight and VOILA! Achievement accomplished! If you're needing to obtain the "Completionist" achievement as well, play for a while in a level 69's game, exit and save the game, start your own game and invite them in. Once again 9/10 times they'll join your game to slap Crawmerax down. Joining a level 69's game is also a great way to level up as well. I've gone from 47 to 54 in a space of an hour. All about working smarter, not harder. |

I was a lvl 68 siren and just took down a lvl72 craw solo. it was a bit tricky towards the end, as it was kinda hairy when i had to turn him around, but it worked pretty well. |

Yeah ive tried it again several times with someone as bait. i just made a new lvl 1 hunter on my wife's account and had it join me, after i sniped his spots off, i sent the poor bastard hunter up the elevator, and raped his backside until he exploded into a sticky purple paste. ive gotten my time per kill down to about 7 mins. i killed him all day yesterday...still no pearls though.. getting impatient. i even have the +2 find rare items mod for my siren.. |

Hit those blue/purple spots and he goes down very fast. I know that he is weak to lightening damage, but my explosive sniper was tearing him up. 910 base damage with X2 explosive. Every hit took away noticeable HP, and I was hitting him for only 3k damage on Critical Hits. Every 4 shots took away 1/4 hp. Anyway, good luck to anyone that attempts this, and just know it CAN be done 100% without modded guns and shields. |

Very fun boss to take on alone as a Siren or with some friends as a team! The occasional Pearl is also very awesome to find. Best way for solo is to use a Siren who is specialized in Phasewalking and in possession of a high damage, high fire rate Anarchy smg. |

There's a place to stand by a wall to the left when you come out of the lift where Crawmerax and his cronies seem to forget what's going on and stand there like a bunch of losers! Then all you have to do is shoot him in the criticals until he falls to bits. Then to get at his back critical you kill the little guys and move toward him and then run back when he notices. He'll cry and go underground then come back up and turn around for a bit. That's when you shoot him! Then he should be dead and you should feel very cheap! Much like I did, but I'm 50G richer! |

Just get a high level Chimera (Main bullets do explosive damage with a chance of doing one of the other three) I have one that's a little over 1200 damage. That takes care of his minions. Then just run around with a good sniper with high critical hit damage and aim for the purple spots. |

No modded gear at all, just the best stuff we had. It took about a 40 minutes to kill him only doing 304 damage to his arms and head and maybe 40-70 with a launcher to his back. But the spot still works don't worry people. |

I've found a technique to enhance the safe zone against the Crawmerax. As you may have read there's the lower ledge where the Crawmerax cannot hit you with its claws. However it can use its projectiles to hit you. Here's the trick. Have one Siren player engage the battle and have a rocket launcher (an orange rare can be purchased from the vending machine before the battle also upgrade your ammo capacity) . You must get to the lower ledge and go near the edge of the wall and "duck" down. You'll need to kill off the minions (shock/maggots, corrosive/armored, fire/green). When you're in the safe zone and no minions are harassing you take out the rocket launcher. If the Crawmerax attacks with his projectiles phase |
