	Comment #1 by Sigmund666 Friday, August 13, 2010 @ 01:13:40 PM An easy way to defeat the Destroyer in second playthrough. Obtain the level 48 MIRV explosives and through all your grenades in the Destroyers mouth. They grenades keep exploding and after that, the Destroyer will only have half a life bar. After that, it's smooth sailing using a Double Anarchy weapon or any other strong weapon or Class Mod.

Fire a shot or two from the most powerful weapon you have and run off the edge of the clip either to the left or the right of the entry. You will respawn but the damage done remains. Repeat until dead

I have been using Incendiary Rain grenades, which are great against the Lance and other bandits, but aren't very good against the Vault Boss. What makes it hard (at least for me) is that he levels up with you. I'm level 57 and he's level 59. The last time I fought him I critical hit him with all my sniper and rocket launcher ammo along with a good portion of my combat rifle ammo before I died, only taking out half of his health. So, thanks, I'll give it a shot.

Just make sure all your points are up, i did this on level 58. so heres what to do, when the boss comes out of the cave and moves the best thing to do is use the guns with unlimited ammo and damage. Then start out by shooting him run to the right and hide behind a long concrete barriar up standing. He will start trying to blow you backwards, if you move left and right side to side he cant hit you at all. About half way through the battle his tenticles will come out wrapping around 2 different poles. i chose the right its close the the barrier for cover. i used berserker for this go over and use your special abilty and unlimited guns hit the eye looking thing on the teniticle wrapped around the pole. do this a few

	Comment #9 by ArrowsmithAK47 Saturday, May 14, 2011 @ 08:16:39 PM If you have Lilith and ammo regeneration capability, here's a strategy that worked for me. Hide behind the left pillar. Step out and unload as many clips as you can of your fastest and most power machine gun. When you start taking damage, use the special action to warp to the the right pillar. Wait for your ability to become available again, then rinse and repeat. The AI doesn't seem to see you move to the other pillar if you warp.

	Comment #11 by TytanikZer0 Wednesday, February 08, 2012 @ 04:37:33 PM Sooooo......the fabled treasure of the vault is a giant mound of tentacles with a toothy girlypart for a mouth? I can't help but feel a little gyped. Either way, if you shoot the purple bulges in the middle of the tentacles, they will be blown off. This seems to negate the shockwave and some other abilities. Then just hide behind one of the stone pillars that he grabs and shoot the eye thing between laser blasts. When the laser charges up, hide and reload. This will empty most of your ammo but with the tentacles gone he can't really hit you so it's pretty easy.

	Comment #12 by Vikairius Wednesday, February 29, 2012 @ 12:50:50 AM On the second playthrough I sniped the eye and tenticles till he started the shockwaves. After that he wraps his larger tenticles around the far left and right pillars. I hid behind the right pillar(one on the left as well) and unloaded my Dove into the larger tenticle. This is time consuming but the safest way to kill the vault boss solo. I used the dove simply because you never have to reload and use no ammo. You could also use any type of ammo regen class or weapon for the same effect.
