While I'm sure this refers to the allied turrets you have the option of summoning from a tear (showcased in one of the earlier gameplay trailers, other decisions being a lot of ammo or some more cover or a weapon I think ?) I had a really cool separate, and really unlikely idea:
I thought it would be cool if one of the tears opens up to WWII and Germans just come rushing out. Or dinosaurs from the Jurassic period. Or knights from the dark ages. I'm not really sure why they would be so damned angry (to attack the first people they see immediately after experiencing a teleport), so of course the idea falls apart there. |

Yea this is an awesome idea that can go in many directions. As unlikely as your ideas may seem I find it even more unlikely that an automated turret is the only ally you can summon. This is just way too cool of an idea to waste on something we've already seen in bioshock, but to contradict myself it would be awesome to summon a big daddy. |

After i posted the above statement i noticed the achievement icon looks like a bull, so maybe we can summon a stampede. They already showed liz bringing a horse through a tear. |

It's from the gun turrets and mosquitos(the floating balloon turrets) that are pulled through tears by Elizabeth. |

After getting shock jockey, you'll have to fight bad guys on your way back to gondola. There's sort of machine gun tear in the sky you can open. Open and restart until you get the achievement. |
