Introduction:
Bioshock 2 takes you back into the underwater world of Rapture, but from a different point of view. This time around you will be playing as a Big Daddy, but not just any. You will be playing through the eyes of a Delta Series Big Daddy, the first and only Big Daddy of its kind.

The general garden variety Splicers have now transformed and became stronger over the 10 years since the first Bioshock. You may be stronger but the world of Rapture has changed so much over the past 10 years.

Buggy Achievements/Freezing:
Several achievements have been reported to not unlock when the requirements are met. You can either try to complete the requirements again or try on another playthrough.

If your multiplayer achievements are also acting up keep re-attempting them until they unlock.

Another issue you may encounter involves the game freezing. There currently isn't a patch for these issues so make sure you have backup saves. Most freezing issues are related to multiplayer. A patch should be released shortly.

Breakdown:
Before you start, carefully decide how you want to play though the game. There are quite a few achievements, which can be very easy to miss. It is possible to earn all the story achievements on one go but only if you know what to do.

Remember there is no way to backtrack and collect things you have missed. Once you leave a level and move onto the next you can't return.

Playthrough 1: (Easy/Normal)
The bulk of your achievements will be earned on your first playthrough of the game. Before you start read through the missable achievements above. With a little planning you should be able to earn most of your achievements on the first playthrough. Once you start the game turn off the Vita Chambers and aim to save all the Little Sisters.

Turning off your Vita Chambers isn't a requirement but it will stop you from using them by mistake.

+ Complete the game without dying (turn off Vita Chambers, save often)
+ Kill the Big Sister without dying
+ Kill three Big Daddies without dying
+ Save all the Little Sisters (and spare the outsiders)
+ Gather 600 ADAM with the Little Sisters
+ Find all 100 Audio Diaries
+ Find all upgrade stations (Apply all upgrades to your weapons)
+ Hack all machines (and 30 from a distance)
+ Kill 50 enemies with hacked Security (Bots & Turrets)
+ Upgrade at least one of your Plasmids fully

Some achievements require further explanation so read the guide for each achievement.

Playthrough 2: (Hard)
You may have decided to skip playing through the game on Easy or Normal and started on Hard. It is possible to run through the game on hard but it depends on how big of a challenge you desire. If this is your first and only playthrough review the information listed under playthrough 1.

If this is your second playthrough, you should only have to earn achievements you missed while on your first run.

Here are a few tips for playing on Hard:

+ Enable Vita Chambers
+ Collect weapon upgrades and use them on primary weapons
+ Hack security bots
+ Harvest Little Sisters for ADAM and less hassle.
+ Upgrade plasmids you use on a regular basis.

If you don't use certain weapons or Plasmids concentrate on them after you have upgraded your more commonly used items. You don't want to waste ADAM on skills you don't find as useful as others.

Little Sisters: ADAM Gathering
This time around ADAM plays a slightly different part in your character. You can interact with the Little Sisters and use them to gather ADAM for you. This is quite a lengthy process but provides its rewards. You can harvest from two bodies with one sister, but you need to be careful and make sure to protect the Little Sister as she collects for you.

If you want to make the most of the games achievements then you will need to gather ADAM with them and make sure you do not harvest them.

Research:
This process is rather straightforward but it's easy to miss out on researching enemies if you forget to use the camera. There are four levels of research to complete. Once you start to encounter new enemies it's best to research them fully as soon as you can. The stronger enemies are, the harder they will be to research. Start recording before you attack so you can take advantage of the extra research points. Also upgrading your research tonics is a must. Using multiple attacks and weapons will earn you more points.

If you can work out the right combination for your attacks while researching, you should be able to max out the research track with little to no effort.

Collectibles: Audio Diaries & Power to the People Stations
Much like the previous Bioshock most of the story is told through the audio diaries. You will need to collect 100 of them this time around but there are 128 in total. You may want to ignore these on alternative playthroughs but collecting them your first time around will save you the hassle of finding them all again.

Audio Diary/Power to the People Upgrade Station Guide

There are also upgrade stations located around the various levels of Rapture. Most are hidden from plain sight so be sure to check every room.

Multiplayer:
You will need to spend a fair amount of time leveling up and earning new skills within the multiplayer. There are also several achievements linked to various tasks, most are fairly straightforward but others may take time to earn.

Earning your 40th level will depend on your skill range and how well you cope against other players. You will need to earn 97000 ADAM before you hit this goal, so be prepared to put in the man hours. Most if not all the achievements can be earned within your first few games if you know what you want to achieve.

Rapture Metro Pack DLC

Achievement Trading Thread

Introduction:
The Rapture Metro Pack is an all multiplayer DLC for Bioshock 2. It consists of 6 new maps, 2 new characters, 2 new masks, the 'rebirth' tonic (which will be discussed a bit later), increased level cap, and the new "Kill 'em Kindly" which allows you to beat down your friends, or foes, with a golf club. What's not to love? There are also 3 new achievements worth 150.

Multiplayer:
All of your achievements will be acquired through Multiplayer public matches. You can't earn them in private matches unfortunately. The new maps are as follows: Dionysus Park, Fighting McDonagh's, Fontaine's Fisheries, Pauper's Drop, Siren Alley, and the Smuggler's Hideout.

The only problem with attempting to get the two achievements for playing each map ("Aqua Incognita") and winning on each map ("Territorial") is that 2K decided (in their infinite wisdom) to add these to the regular playlist. So if you're in a group and 1 person does not have the DLC; you'll never see a DLC map. All people you are playing with must have the DLC map for these maps to be added to the normal map rotation. Upon completion of this tedious task you will earn the following two achievements.

Rebirth:
Rebirth is the Bioshock equivalent of Prestige or Re-up. The original level cap was 40; with the addition of the Rapture Metro Pack the level cap was increased to 50. You must reach level 50 by whatever means necessary (boosting or playing); you have the option to be 'reborn' which means you start over from scratch. Your rank is reset to 1 and you become a newb again. Let's be honest though, the "Reincarnation" achievement will most likely be the last thing you do with this game. The option to be reborn will appear on the matchmaking lobby screen upon reaching level 50.

Reincarnation:
An unfortunate side effect of the rebirth was that it also reset your ADAM and world rank on the leaderboards. So if you care more about that than the achievement... don't be reborn.

Boosting:
It is possible to boost this game, although you need a minimum of 6 players. The best method of boosting is turret hacking; basically you and an enemy keep hacking the same turret back and forth for the entire round. Most maps have at least two turrets on them; there are a few that have three like Arcadia, and Mercury Suites. If you can't find a turret to take turns hacking on; you can hack vending machines albeit slower.

Conclusion:
At the time of its release, this was a very doable set of achievements; I seriously doubt there is a very active community within the Bioshock 2 world. Online support has all but stopped as there are plenty of glitchers flying through walls and being all invincible and such. The success of your completion of this DLC hinges on finding people to play with that all have the DLC themselves. It all sounds like doom and gloom, but this was a great DLC with a great set of maps.

Protector Trials DLC

The protector trials DLC is a great way to get back into the game. In every trial, your goal is to defend the little sister and gather as much ADAM as you can.

There are 6 areas in the DLC:

  • The Adonis Baths
  • Atlantic Express Train Upkeep
  • Pauper’s Drop Market
  • Simon Wales’ Church
  • Folly of Dionysus
  • Persephone Cellblock F

Every area contains 3 trials plus a bonus trial (24 trials in total). You are equipped with different weapons and plasmids in every trial. This means that you have to find different techniques for each one. At the end of a trial, you will be rewarded with a letter: D, C, B, A or A+. Your result will depend on how much ADAM you have gathered. To get an A, you will need to gather between 85% and 100% of the ADAM.

You can use this Thread to help yourself if you are stuck in a trial.

Step 1:
Play through the 18 trials at your own rhythm. If your results are lower than an A, replay the trials until you get the needed score. Take your time and try to find the best methods to finish the trials. Remember that you can replay any trial at any time.

Step 2:
After the 18 trials, you will unlock the bonus trials. There are 6 in total (one on every map). They are the same except that you are equipped with every weapon available, fully upgraded, and you have access to EVERY plasmid.

NOTE: Be sure to change your plasmids at the Gene Bank before you start gathering! There are helpful plasmids like Summon Eleanor that can be used!

Minerva's Den DLC

Minerva's Den Wikia
Minerva's Den Achievement Guide

Introduction:
Minerva's Den is a single player installment for Bioshock 2 which is separate from the main storyline. Without going into too much detail and spoiling everything; you play as a Big Daddy and the main antagonist is a gentleman named "Wahl" who thinks he can predict the future because of a computer with the moniker of "The Thinker". Needless to say... splicing is a helluva drug.

You will spend approximately 5 hours traversing this campaign; four of the achievements are story related and can't be missed, while the final 4 are missable achievements. But with use of the roadmap and the guide you won't have an issue. Difficulty does not affect any achievement, so you can play on Easy if you wish. The higher the difficulty, the scarcer supplies become.

Story Related:
The story takes you to a new part of Rapture which is known as Minerva's Den. It's plenty dark, gloomy and wet like the rest of Rapture; it's also filled with Splicers that would love nothing more then to rip your face off. You will tussle with some familiar foes, along with a few new ones; Splicers and Big Daddy's alike. You can also gain access to a new weapon (Ion Laser), a new plasmid (Gravity Well) and two new gene tonics (Drill Dash, Master Protector).

You will earn four story related achievements as you delve deeper into Rapture; they are: "Login", "Root Access Granted", "Logout" and "SUDO".

Please note: there are Audio Logs scattered throughout Minerva's Den, but they are in no way attached to any achievements; they are more just for plot addition. HERE is a link to an audio guide walkthrough.

Missable Achievements:
"Lancer Killer": This technically is missable (although highly unlikely) should you choose not to engage one. However, if you're going for the other achievements, "ADAM Addict" specifically, you will have to kill a Lancer. You will stumble across at least 6 of them during this campaign.

"Garbage Collection": This achievement requires you to destroy 10 vacuum bots during the campaign. There are 5 in Minerva's Den and 5 in Operations; should you move on to Operations without destroying the 5 bots in the Den, you will miss this achievement. HERE is a link to the walkthrough.

"ADAM Addict": You must rescue, or harvest, all the Little Sisters. Again, you must get them all in one area before moving on to the next. There are three Little Sisters in Minerva's Den and three in Operations; so six in total. If you are having trouble finding a Little Sister, as is similar to the main game, locate a Big Daddy and follow it to a vent where he'll 'call' a Little Sister.

"High Score": This is a mini game that can be found in Operations; you must get a high score of 9999 points with 4 lives. There's a terminal in an office upstairs that's a bit off the beaten path. It's basically a game of asteroids. Should you fail to reach the needed score you can try again. It's listed as missable due to you being able to miss the area; not that you only have one attempt at getting the score. Please refer to the guide for an accurate location.

Conclusion:
This was a relatively short DLC addition to Bioshock 2, but it was entertaining with a decent plot line for what we'd expect out of Rapture. Assuming you follow the guide, you should have little issue with completing the DLC campaign whilst gaining all the achievements in one playthrough. Just be vigilant to check what you've done before you move on to another area that you can't return from.

Overall Conclusion:
The achievements aren't really too complicated but more time consuming than anything. With careful planning you can earn 1000 with minimal effort and enjoyment.

Once you start hacking a meter will pop up on the screen with a needle which bobs back and forth, press  on the green or blue areas to progress in the hacking. If you hit the blue lines you will be rewarded, green lines will progress and blank spaces will shock you.

    Link to Researchers Handbook.

This guide will provide all the locations and all the basic information you need to know about researching.

Note: You can keep track of your research by pressing  and viewing the research tab. Doing this will help you keep track of what research you have done, and what research you need to do.

  • Defeat 3 Big Daddies without dying during the fight.

If you're starting out on easy this shouldn't be an issue. You need to fight three Big Daddies without dying. You can use Security Bots, Turrets or hypnotize Splicers to help you take down a Big Daddy. Once you have taken down one Big Daddy save your game and move onto the next. If you are playing with the Vita Chambers off you shouldn't have to worry about re-spawning by mistake.

If you are attempting this on hard you may have a tough time taking down a single Big Daddy. Make sure you have plenty of Health and EVE, using Winter Blast with the Drill seems to be the most effective way to kill a Big Daddy. Continuously freeze him while you attack.

  • Gather 600 ADAM with Little Sisters.

Once you adopt a Little Sister you can set her down next to glowing bodies to collect ADAM. A Little Sister can gather 40 ADAM from each body or 60 ADAM using the "Proud Parent" tonic.

    Basic Gathering
As you start out you will need to harvest two bodies with each sister until you earn the "Proud Parent" Tonic.

    8 Sisters with 2 bodies = 80 ADAM, 80x8=640

    Proud Parent Tonic
You will be rewarded with this tonic after saving four Little Sisters. This will allow you to collect 60 ADAM per body rather than the previous 40 ADAM. If you harvest your sisters after gathering you may miss out on this tonic.

    5 Sisters with 2 bodies = 120 ADAM, 120 x5 = 600

Depending on if you use the tonic or not you will earn this achievement either before or around Dionysus Park.

You can either use your map to find the ADAM or you can hold down the for a second and a trail will appear. This will lead to you the bodies that can be harvested.

Note: Saving/Harvesting a Little Sister does not count as a gather. Make sure you gather with each sister twice to avoid missing out on this achievement.

  • Fully upgrade one of your Plasmids to the level 3 version at a Gatherer's Garden.

Each Plasmid has three levels which can be bought form a Gatherer's Garden or found. You can't backtrack so make sure that you collect as many Plasmids as possible. Buy any of these level three upgrades and the achievement will unlock.

  • Find or purchase all 11 basic Plasmid types.

It's fairly hard to miss a Plasmid bottle because they are brightly coloured. You will either be given them as a gift or have to buy them from a Gatherer's Garden. You only need to own one level for each Plasmid, buying all three levels of a single Plasmid will not count for this achievement.

These are the earliest known locations to find each Plasmid. You can buy or find them in later levels also.

    • Cyclone Trap (Bought, Pauper's Drop)
    • Decoy (Bought, Pauper's Drop)
    • Electro Bolt (Gift, Adonis Luxury Resort)
    • Hypnotize (Gift, Pauper's Drop)
    • Incinerate! (Bought, Ryan Amusements)
    • Insect Swarm (Bought, Siren Alley)
    • Scout (Bought, Siren Alley)
    • Security Command (Gift, Siren Alley)
    • Summon Eleanor (Gift, Persephone)
    • Telekinesis (Gift, Atlantic Express Depot)
    • Winter Blast (Bought, Pauper's Drop)

  • Kill 30 enemies using only Traps.

This may sound quite time consuming but can be done with an alternative ammo for the rivet gun. Early on you will will find Trap Rivets for your gun. Press with the Rivet Gun selected to equip this ammo type, once selected you can either fire them directly at your enemies or set traps.

If you want to take the more creative approach you can mix your Plasmids to form traps. Mixing Cyclone with Incinerate/Elctro Bolt also works rather effectively.

  • Get through a Gather with no damage and no one getting to the Little Sister.

This maybe be a little difficult until you find the right spot. While making your way through Ryan Amusements and enter "Journey to the Surface", you will have to harvest ADAM from a body in a open room. You can hack the turret and place Rivet Traps on the floor and around the doorways. Once you have everything setup, place the sister down to collect ADAM. You can now back up into the corner and pick off splicers as they flood the room.

As long as you watch out for any splicers with guns and let the turret do all the work you should earn this without any issues.

  • Spend 2000 dollars at Vending Machines.

This should come with natural progression in the game, loot anything and everything to find useful items. Half of what you loot will be money, once you find a vending machine either buy ammo, health or anything else you need. Just keep repeating this process until you have spent over 2000 dollars on vending machine items.

  • Either Harvest or Save every Little Sister in the game.

You will encounter the Little Sisters who will help you through the game, if you let them. Decide which route you want to take and stick to it. Saving every Little Sister will be more rewarding but Harvesting will gain you more ADAM.

If you decide to Harvest the sisters you will miss out on the Savior and Master Gatherer achievements. You will be given three options with the Little Sisters you encounter, Adopt, Harvest and Save. Adopting will allow you to harvest bodies for ADAM which will go towards Master Gatherer. Once you are finished gathering with your current Little Sister, take her to a vent and save her. You can gather two bodies with one Little Sister. You won't be rewarded so well in the beginning, but using a Little Sister effectively will reward you in the long run.

You can keep track of how many Little Sisters you need to save by pressing , and viewing the stats at the bottom of the pause menu.

    • 0 - Adonis Luxury Resort
    • 0 - Atlantic Express Depot
    • 1 - Ryan Amusements
    • 2 - Pauper's Drop
    • 3 - Siren Alley
    • 3 - Dionysus Park
    • 3 - Fontaine Futuristics
    • 0 - Persephone
    • 0 - Inner Persephone

Note: Do not leave an area and progreed to the next without gathering and dealing with the sisters. If you do so you won't be able to return. Gathering does not count towards dealing with each sister. You must either Save or Harvest all the sisters for this achievement.

  • Finish the game on the hardest difficulty level.

Finishing the game on the hardest difficulty may be easier for some than others. If you are a fairly experienced with First Person Shooting games you shouldn't have too many issues, but here are a few tips:

    • Take cover
    • Use first aid sooner rather than later
    • Don't be brave, run away if you are overwhelmed
    • Use Vita Chambers (unless you are going for "Big Brass Balls")
  • Finish the game without using Vita-Chambers.

If you have played the first Bioshock you may have attempted this achievement. Unlike the first you can complete the game on any difficulty but you must not use the Vita-Chambers. Start on easy or normal and make your way through the game.

Take your time and avoid as much unnecessary conflict as possible. If you are overwhelmed either take cover or run away and use your health kits when needed.

Note: Once you start the game you can turn the Vita-Chambers off through the option menu. Doing this will stop you from making a mistake and using the chambers. Make sure you save on a regular basis.

  • Find 100 audio diaries.

You will find audio diaries through each section of Rapture. They provide a lot of back story and depth to characters that you might run into while exploring. Make sure to check every room you enter for these diaries.

There are 128 audio diaries throughout Rapture so missing a few isn't an issue, but don't just ignore them. You won't be able to come back and collect them once you move onto the next level.

Audio Diary/Power to the People Upgrade Station Guide

  • Score your first kill in a non-private match.

This must be done in a Ranked Match.

You should be able to score at least one kill in any match you take part in. If you are having difficulty taking down other players use your Plasmids while shooting.

  • Complete your first non-private match.

Load up any ranked game and play through to the end. Once the game is over and you have completed the full match the achievement will unlock. If your host quits or you are disconnected you won't be rewarded for completing the level.

  • Become a Big Daddy for the first time in a non-private match.

This must be done in a Ranked Match.

While running around the areas of Rapture you will see an announcement at the bottom of the screen. "A Big Daddy suit has spawned near your location", make your way to the suit if you know where it is and press to wear it.

Normally this turns into a mad scramble between players to get the suit. If you do see the suit laying on the ground grab it before someone else does.

You can use any game mode other than Capture the Sister as players will spawn as the Big Daddy.

  • Take down your first Big Daddy in a non-private match.

This must be done in a Ranked Match.

At some point in the game a Big Daddy suit will spawn randomly in the level. Someone will pick up the suit and go on a kill rampage. The most effective way to take down someone wearing the suit is to use Incinerate! or Winter Blast and the shotgun or machine gun.

You don't need to waste all of the players health but you do need to be the player to perform the final blow. If someone else fires the final shot you won't be rewarded.

  • Save your first Little Sister in a non-private match.

This must be done in a Ranked Match.

While playing Capture the Sister, you will need to capture the sister while playing on the offense and return her to the vent. This will take some patience but using the Aero Dash Plasmid will give you an advantage. You will earn this Plasmid at rank 4.

  • Complete your first trial in a non-private match.

This must be done in a Ranked Match.

Complete one of the sub objectives required to earn extra ADAM. Some of these tasks are fairly straightforward, where as others will require you to complete harder tasks.

You can view your trials from the gaming lobby. Completing a trial will reward you will extra ADAM to use towards your leveling.

Note: This should come natrually but only seems to unlock for most people while playing team games.

  • Play at least one non-private match on each multiplayer map.

This must be done in a Ranked Match.

The multiplayer levels are sections of Rapture taken from the first Bioschock game. Play at least one Ranked match on each of the follow levels and the achievement will unlock:

Note: If the host disconnects or you quit out, you won't be credited for completing the map.

  • Paid your respects to the founder of Rapture.

While exploring Ryan Amusements you will find a statue of Andrew Ryan sat at a desk, he is located just inside "Journey to the Surface" on the left hand side. Look behind Andrew Ryan in the far corner to find a golf club, use telekinesis to pick up the club and then fire it at the statues head.

This is a rather odd achievement and very easy to miss if you don't know what to look for.

  • Used the Hack Tool to hack an object at a distance.

This can't be missed as you will need to hack a door to progress early on.

    See Master Hacker.

  • Defended yourself against the Big Sister without dying.

The Big Sister will challenge you on the harder difficulties but she shouldn't cause you too many issues on easy. Keep moving and use your Plasmids with heavy or armor piercing rounds.

You will run into the Big Sister on a regular basis throughout the game, but you will only have a few chances to do this achievement.

  • Killed 50 enemies using only hacked Security.

While hacking various machines for Master Hacker you will need to hack the security bots and turrets. Hack one of these robots and allow them to kill for you. A little patience is required as you will have to let the security bots kill your enemies.

Using security Plasmids or Security Cameras doesn't count towards the achievement. You need to directly hack a turret or bot for your kills to count.

If you are having issue finding bots and turrets allow the security cameras to raise the alarm so you can hack the bots.

  • Adopted a new Little Sister for the first time.

This is story related and can't be missed.

When you encounter the first little sister choose to adopt her by pressing . If you are working towards the other Little Sister achievements make sure not to Harvest any sisters.

    See Savior.

  • Savior

    25

Saved every Little Sister and spared Grace, Stanley and Gil.

Once you save all the Little Sisters and spare the lives of Grace, Stanley and Gil the achievement will unlock. If you have decided to harvest any Little Sisters or to kill any of the characters you will need to start over.

Grace Holloway - Stanley Poole - Gil Alexander
You will run into these characters as you make your way through the game. They will hinder you as you try to progress through the levels. Once you have completed whatever tasks you need to, you have the decision to kill them. Make sure you don't kill them either through requests or your own decision.

  • Killed an enemy with its own projectile.

Using telekinesis grab a thrown projectile and throw it back at the enemy. You can either do this against a Splicer or any other enemy which throw projectiles such as grenades or rockets.

One of the easier ways to earn this achievement is to kill a Rumbler with it's own rockets. You can stand in front of them and keep using telekinesis over-and-over until you kill the Big Daddy. Splicers randomly throw grenades, but the Rumbler will always fire rockets at you if you are at a distance.

This can also be done with Thuggish Splicers and Rocket Turrets.

DLC: Rapture Metro Pack

There are 3 achievements with a total of 150 points

  • Play at least one non-private match on each downloadable content map.

There are six new maps in the Rapture Metro DLC pack:

    • Dionysus Park
    • Fighting McDonagh's
    • Fontaine Fisheries
    • Pauper's Drop
    • Siren Alley
    • Smuggler's Hideout

At the moment, the DLC maps are included in the regular map rotation. This means if 1+ people in your lobby does not own the DLC, the new maps won't appear, and you will continue playing original maps. Everyone in your lobby must own the Rapture Metro DLC. A patch has been promised to fix the issue and introduce separate DLC playlists.

To unlock this achievement, you just have to play and complete a non-private match on each of the 6 maps once.

  • Win a non-private match in each of the 6 new maps.

The Kill 'em Kindly game mode is included with the DLC, but can be downloaded separately by those without the DLC. However, your chances would probably be greater in this game mode in finding a lobby where everyone owns the DLC maps. You can try this, or any other game mode to get a win in each map.

You may want to save the headache and find a boosting group of those who own the DLC. That way you are guaranteed to play the new maps, and can trade wins.

  • Use Rebirth to start again!

Like Call of Duty's Prestige or Red Dead Redemption's Legend, Rebirth allows you to start over at Level 1. This can only be done if you own the Rapture Metro DLC. It is the only way you can get to Level 50 AND Rebirth (the Sinclair Solutions pack allows you to get to level 50, but not Rebirth). You get a special mask to show off your "bravery" but you lose almost everything; Plasmids, Tonics, Weapons, ADAM, and even your spot on the leaderboards! A patch is suppose address the leaderboards, but for now, be cautious when doing Rebirth unless you strictly want the achievement or don't care about your leaderboard rank.

DLC: The Protector Trials

There are 7 achievements with a total of 100 points

  • Earn 6 stars in the Protector Trials

See Trial By Fire for more information.

  • Earn 18 stars in the Protector Trial

See Trial by Fire for more information.

  • Earn 36 stars in the Protector Trials

At the end of a trial, whatever the score is, you will earn the stars you need.

    • The first trial of every area gives you 1 star.
    • The second trial gives you 2 stars.
    • The last trial gives 3 stars.

As long as you complete the 18 trials the achievement is yours.

  • Earn an A rank in all Protector Trials

Complete one of the sub objectives required to earn extra ADAM. Some of these tasks are fairly straightforward, where as others will require you to complete harder tasks.

You can view your trials from the gaming lobby. Completing a trial will reward you will extra ADAM to use towards your leveling.

  • Collect 100% of the ADAM in a single Protector Trial

The little sister can’t be touched if you want to gather 100% of the ADAM. Use as many traps as possible (Mini-Turrets, Trap Rivets, Proximity Mines, Trap Spear Ammo and Cyclone Traps) and always keep an eye on her. The easiest trial in which to gather 100% of the ADAM is the bonus trial in `The Adonis Baths`.

I personally gathered 100% of the ADAM in many other levels:

    • The Adonis Baths – Trial 2
    • Pauper’s Drop Market – Trial 2
    • Simon Wales’ Church – Trial 2
    • Folly of Dionysus – Trials 1, 2 and 3

Here are two different ways to get the achievement:

  • Collect 50% of the ADAM available in all Protector Trials

This is almost impossible to miss. You will have to gather at least 50% of the ADAM in every trial, which is very easy. This will come naturally while playing through the trials.

See Enemy of the Family for more information.

Secret achievements

  • Completed all bonus Protector Trials.

Once you've completed the 18 trials you will unlock 6 bonus trials (one in every area). In these trials you will be equipped with every weapon, fully upgraded, and every plasmid. Complete these easy trials to get the achievement.

DLC: Minerva's Den

There are 8 achievements with a total of 150 points

  • Destroy all 10 Vacuum Bots in Minerva's Den

There are a total of 10 Vacuum Bots, five Vacuum Bots in Minerva's Den, and five Bots in Operations. DO NOT take the elevator to Operations if you have not destroyed all the five bots in Minerva’s Den, as there is NO way to come back to Minerva's Den. To be sure that you get everything, either follow this written guide right HERE, or watch the video below.

  • Kill a Lancer Big Daddy

The Lancer is a new type of Big Daddy unique to the Minerva's Den DLC. The Lancer's main form of attack is its Ion Laser, which will provide constant damage for as long as you're caught in it. As well as that it also has another move called the Ion Flash, which will temporarily blind you if you see it. Despite all of this, he does not deal as much damage as the other types of Big Daddies, so if you can finish him off quickly, you will not suffer much damage from it. He also suffers from the same weaknesses the other Big Daddies do, so whatever strategy from armor-piercing rounds, to using security cameras against all work very well against Lancers. Security Bots can easily be found all throughout Minerva's Den, which can easily be hacked. They are an absolutely huge help against Lancers, as they are immune to it's Ion Flash.

Using the Gravity Well Plasmid that is also new to Minerva's Den, you can lock a Lancer in place. Doing so will prevent him from ever being able to from moving around and effectively using Ion Flash against you, which will make him much easier to take down.

  • Resolve all the Little Sisters in Minerva's Den

Just like in the main game, you will encounter several Little Sisters throughout Minerva's Den. There are a total of six Little Sisters, three within Minerva's Den, and three within Operations. For the achievement, you must deal with all six of the Little Sisters found through the DLC. It doesn't matter whether you Save or Harvest all or some of them, so long as you deal with all of them.

If you still need to rescue a Sister, but she doesn’t appear anywhere on the map, walk around the area until you see a Lancer. Follow him to a ventilation hole where he will call a Little Sister, were you will then be able to rescue/harvest her.

Note: If you leave Minerva's Den or Operations and you haven't rescued/harvested the Sisters three Little Sisters here, you WON'T be able to come back!
