![]() | Comment #7 by typahl21 Thursday, September 01, 2011 @ 11:02:39 PM i dont recall how much it was worth in the first, but what pisses me off is how they only award 5 points for achievements like these now-a-days. dont they understand how much practice and time is going to go into this achievement? gosh! (i.e i was play red dead redemption going for the 50k posse score achievement and when i finally had about 30k myself and had a bunch of randoms playing with me to pick up the slack, the achievement popped and it was worth 5G. i was like OMG!-just thought i would share my story.) achievements that require time precision or dedication should be worht the bulk of the 1000G or atleast double digits, come on! |

![]() | Comment #11 by Zacry072 Friday, September 02, 2011 @ 09:44:25 AM @10 that was because there were 99 achievements in the game. No one achievement could be worth a whole lot with that many other achievements to share space with. |

![]() | Comment #14 by xDAx AWESOME Friday, September 02, 2011 @ 02:16:31 PM Loved the challenege rooms in the first, hopefully these are as satisfying. I do agree with the above comments though - the most ridiculous achievements are always worth the least. It's upsetting... but there is reason. At this point, achievements can sell games. If they made the difficult ones too many points, a good number of people probably would choose to not get the game as they couldn't get a high amount of achievements out of it. |
![]() | Comment #15 by Zacry072 Friday, September 02, 2011 @ 04:23:59 PM I don't care how many points individual achievements are worth because I know I'm going to get them all anyway. In most cases, at least :P. |

![]() | Comment #20 by Bp982 Sunday, September 11, 2011 @ 08:53:00 AM @18 - Yep you got it, it took me a while to get the hang of each of combat moves and more importantly the right times to use them. Once you’re familiar with the moves, this one should be no problem. Also I think the reason for the lower G-score is because in AA the combat system was new and it warranted high points for completing the challenges. Now that most of the players of AA are familiar with the moves, the higher scoring acheivements like the ones for finding Riddlers hostages are given to them because it involves the entire city and more of your detective skills. The combat system might be new to some players but for the returning ones it won’t be much of a challenge. Which is what the achievements are supposed to represent. |

![]() | Comment #22 by a dying animal Tuesday, September 13, 2011 @ 10:55:48 AM This achievement is really annoying. I wish they would of changed it a little so it isn't exactly the same as the last game. Maybe something like 'Use each of batman and catwoman's fighting moves once' or 'use all of either batman or catwomans fighting moves in a combo'. |

![]() | Comment #31 by Kyusskiller Tuesday, October 18, 2011 @ 08:50:29 PM If you spent as much time playing this game as you do crying about how hard it is then maybe you'd have a chance to do it. Yeah it's hard, but shouldn't achievements be? when you finally do it you will feel that much better about your achievement. |
![]() | Comment #32 by O918 Wednesday, October 19, 2011 @ 11:03:51 AM man, this one is going to be alot harder than in AA. he has so many more moves! its gonna me hard to keep mental track of the moves you still nee to pull off, and theres gonna need to be like 20 enemies to get all of these. also, some of the moves are going to be hard to time correctly and youll need to have every type of enemy (ie. disarm and destroy a gun-- i have a feeling thats gonna be killing my combo ALOT).. freeflow perfection wasnt too bad in AA after i practiced enough and finally realizing i was rushing myself, and i had more time to execute moves than i thought. its kind of a shame its only worth 5 GS, but it doesnt really matter to me bc ill be trying for 1200/1200 (and any more DLC achievements they add later |

![]() | Comment #34 by Cyberwasp35 Monday, October 24, 2011 @ 01:48:54 AM I've not played the first one, so please bear with me as I ask what exactly the specifics are for this achievement... does this include all gadget uses, zipline combo, dive bombing for a first strike, shockwave... I'm edgy on the specifics. I can easily nail a +50 combo, but I just don't know what all moves and whatnot are required for this... enlightenment, please? |
![]() | Comment #35 by eurytomid Monday, October 24, 2011 @ 04:04:43 PM @34: Taken from the guide by Xx Overkill VR: Basic moves Strike (X) Counter (Y) Stun (B) Ultra Stun (B,B,B) Aerial Attack (B,A,A+Left stick in direction) Combos Special Combo Multi Ground Takedown (A+B) - must have at least 1 enemy dazed on the ground before doing this or it wont count Special Combo Disarm and Destroy (X+Y) - Can be done against people who are holding any object such as a knife or sledge hammer Special Combo Bat Swarm (A+X) Combo Batarang (LT pressed quickly) Finishers Ground Pound (RT+Y) - Used to finish off an enemy when they are dazed on the ground Special Combo Takedown (B+Y) Beat Down Finisher (B+X and keep pressing X) I did it in about 10 minutes on the 3rd stage of Survival of the Fittest, not too bad |

![]() | Comment #39 by MarleyMon81 Thursday, October 27, 2011 @ 09:28:11 AM Finally got it after days of trying and practice. I cannot believe this achievement was only worth 10 in AA and only 5 in AC. Truely a skill based achievement. |

![]() | Comment #41 by dah884 Thursday, October 27, 2011 @ 11:54:04 PM i am sorry to say this but this one was extremely easy to get if know a nice little trick. okay first location location location. now then the road will say survival of the fittest part two because there is just enough guys but... survival of the fittest part three or four (mainly three) why because there are more than enough guys and several with weapons by default the trick start with ultra stun followed by ground knock out(these are done in order of hardest trick to follow course of actions) now then counter if a thug is to close but next is stun or aerial attack either order, followed by critical attacks then perform specials in this order (at least doing the multi- take down early on because you could easily miss your chance) weapon break, multi-take down, bat swarm, and |
![]() | Comment #42 by dah884 Thursday, October 27, 2011 @ 11:56:24 PM special take down. move on to the batrang combo then take every one else. and finally do the beat down on the last guy. now some of you are probably already bashing me saying that doesn't make it any easier and you know what you are right. so here is the trick. first detective mode can help you find weapons. no i am just kidding the true hint is use redirect between every attack, even multiple times. that's it it's that simple and all you will have to worry about is getting hit during the ground take down, ultra stun, and aerial attack.(hey aren't those 3 of the first 4 i mentioned? yes, yes they are.) but some of you are probably wondering won't that destroy my chain of attacks and the answers is no but be careful, though you can do redirect endlessly as with stun(if you |
![]() | Comment #43 by dah884 Thursday, October 27, 2011 @ 11:58:17 PM hit someone) you can only do 1 evade per attack. in which case the only problem you should hit are within the first 4 parts i mentioned. now then if someone could confirm this trick works in aa, as i haven't played it yet, those of you who still need it there will be helped as well. only took me 10 or so tries when attempted. and i found this out as a result of playing on hard trying to survive the fight with spoiler joker, joker titan, and one armed dude would or the legion fight can't remember exactly ended spoiler started using evade and redirect and noticed what redirect does and the limits on evade. also made the fighting challenges easy as pie even the 60,000 ones just attack redirect bat swarm, except on assassins then redirect attack and bat swarm |
![]() | Comment #44 by dah884 Thursday, October 27, 2011 @ 11:59:29 PM sorry for the multipost but it wouldn't let me post all at once. |
![]() | Comment #45 by Torik_Shai Saturday, October 29, 2011 @ 03:13:41 AM Whew, got this one today. It definitely takes some practice. I'd agree that Rounds 3 or 4 of the Survival of the Fittest challenge are probably the way to go. Try to evade/redirect all the time, like once between every move, just to give yourself time to think about what you still need to do. One little tip I figured out that I think helped me a lot: Finish the last guy with Ultra Stun followed immediately by a Ground Pound. These are the moves that I felt like leave you the most open to attack, so you don't want to do them with a bunch of guys around. So save those for the final guy, Ultra Stun him to knock him down, and Ground Pound him to finish him off. Hope that helps. |
![]() | Comment #46 by Mike-H Sunday, October 30, 2011 @ 06:18:05 AM I'm struggling with this. I do all 12 required moves in a single combo but only ever ever get credit for 11. No idea what i'm doing wrong. |
![]() | Comment #47 by Torik_Shai Sunday, October 30, 2011 @ 10:06:03 PM @46: Hard to say without anything more specific to go on, but off the top of my head, maybe there's a move somewhere in there that you're doing but not finishing and that's why it's not counting it. For instance, for the Beat Down attack (stun, then rapidly attack), you actually need to keep going with it until you finish the guy off. You can't just hit him with it a couple times then jump away. Or for the Multi-Ground Takedown (A+B), you can actually do it without hitting anyone and not lose your combo, but it won't count toward your Variation Bonus unless it hits at least one guy. Again, I have no idea if that's what your particular issue is, I'm just throwing out ideas here. :/ |
![]() | Comment #48 by paranj Monday, October 31, 2011 @ 02:13:58 AM Just got this. Took me a couple tries but man, did it feel good when it popped. My strategy : Challenge map - Survival of the Fittest. Round 3. Start off by standing till a goon comes and tries to hit you. Counter + Strike. Keep this up until x5. Then Bat Swarm. Stun the nearest enemeny and aerial attack (a,a). Strike someone and keep on countering till the next special movie. Disarm and Destroy. Strike and counter. Batarang takedown. Strike and counter. Combo take down. Strike then quickly batarang someone. Keep this up until only two of them are left standing. Then ultra stun one guy and then stun the other and proceed for a beatdown. The other guy should still be down so press RT+Y for a ground takedown and voila, achievement! |
![]() | Comment #49 by Mike-H Monday, October 31, 2011 @ 08:49:56 AM @47: Thanks mate, i'm gonna have another go later. I think it may be the cape stun I'm missing as it can be turned into a beatdown or an aerial attack which means it may no longer count as a cape stun. Other than that I was wondering if the combo batarang has to actually hit and enemy to count because it can also be thrown at the fire extinguishers to fill the room with smoke. I'm still getting used to all these new moves and probably just need a bit more practice. |
![]() | Comment #50 by Kaze Katana Monday, October 31, 2011 @ 10:34:36 PM Just took me 2 hours for this. using all those moves people posted i would only ever get 11 variables at most. This was WITHOUT EVER Dodging. Did the same thing but WITH dodging over the enemies and got all 12 variables. Im surprised no one posted that(though i may have missed it.) And yes when i did have 11 variables i check the statistics and i had all 12 moves used yet as i did not dodge, i never got 12. |
![]() | Comment #51 by Kaze Katana Monday, October 31, 2011 @ 10:46:04 PM An easy way to clarify this is that, anyone that got the achievement with or without dodging over enemies should post, that way future people will know if you do need to dodge. |
![]() | Comment #52 by dah884 Tuesday, November 01, 2011 @ 03:05:36 AM dodging over enemies is called redirecting i mention it in my comment and on the forum under 'freeflow made easy'. |
![]() | Comment #53 by Garlyle Wednesday, November 02, 2011 @ 01:32:57 PM Just got this one last night. Took me a solid hour and half of playing, but it finally popped. The hardest part for me was remembering which techniques I had left. Two different times I had one or two moves left, but totally blanked on which they were. Eventually I made my younger brother watch me, and because he was there to remind me about the beatdown I got it. Guess what I'm trying to say is if you are having trouble remembering, see if you can get someone to sit and help you out. Good luck. |
![]() | Comment #54 by Dukem Thursday, November 03, 2011 @ 05:04:13 AM Don't understand y people are struggling with this game just doubletap a every hit = job done the combo stays & you get infinate time so just jump over poeple b4 each hit every time combo goes yellow us a special that simple you should get this within 3 trys eas even if you use the same one twice you have like 5 times the people to fight in 95% of the campaign missions just dont try it on the combo challange as you run out of people which i figured out the 1st time i tryed. Done the whole game was far to easy for my likings hope the nx 1 take me longer than 12hrs to get 100% but hay we can only hope the nx 1's challanging! |

![]() | Comment #56 by Carefree Llama Friday, November 04, 2011 @ 10:40:09 AM I still havent seen a truely complete list... Seems like everyone is getting it typed out wrong. Here is a true list: To help me remember to do them all I did them in this order and in these stages: Xbox: Single Button Moves: 1. X - Strike 2. AA - Evade 3. Y - Counter 4. B - Stun Two Button Combos: 5. X+Y - Disarm and Destroy (I do this ASAP so I for sure can disarm someone) 6. A+X - Bat Swarm 7. A+B - Multiground take down (Be sure to take out at least one inmate or this will not count) 8. B+Y - Takedown Stun Combos: 9. B, X,X... - Beat Down 10. B, A, A, - Arial Assault 11. B, B, B, - Ultra Stun 12. RT+Y - Ground Takedown (I use the ultra stun to get the last guy on the floor and do this) People try to add LT Batarang to this, but that is part of the gadget V |

![]() | Comment #60 by psychoboy0134 Saturday, November 05, 2011 @ 10:09:42 AM THANK YOU 57. I've been trying for hours based on other lists the included everything but the batarang, so they were both doomed to fail and extremely frustrating. 30 minutes after I started trying to incorporate the batarang into my combo the achievement pops. That's my last, and the original Arkham City is 100%ed. Now, the question is, do I care enough about Catwoman/Robin/Nightwing to replay ALL those challenges to get their achievements... |
![]() | Comment #61 by LokiTN Wednesday, November 09, 2011 @ 05:53:36 AM I earned this last night on Rooftop Rumble. I picked this one because there are always afew knives as well as enemies picking up objects - all of which can be Disarm and Destroyed. My suggestion is use the ultra stun to set the last few guys up for the harder finishers (Beat Down and Ground and Pound). Stunning an enemy allows you to crowd control the last 3-4 so you can position them for your moves. |

![]() | Comment #77 by Alladur7 Friday, January 13, 2012 @ 04:27:24 AM Annoying little cheevo. The hardest part is simply remembering whether or not you've done them each. So what I did was write each move down on a piece of paper and then marked them off as I did each one. I got excited at one point because I was sure I got it but turned out I had totally neglect to take into consideration the simple stun attack. So I had to do it all over again. One of the more annoying achievements but also one of the ones that make you most proud. |

![]() | Comment #91 by noxe Tuesday, May 29, 2012 @ 04:12:44 AM Yeah, got this yesterday! As far as I noticed, you DO need the quickt baterang. I did ALL the moves, I always did them in a speial order to remember which one I already did, and I NEVER included the quick baterang. Then I did and BOOM, I got the achievement. |
![]() | Comment #92 by Nighthawk09 Wednesday, June 20, 2012 @ 02:15:23 PM @#90 That's exactly what I thought until I cleared my head and concentrated my thoughts into what moves that needed to be done and not just mash the buttons and hope something comes from it. It's also very helpful to keep a list of all the move you need and check them off one by one. The Iceberg Lounge Combat Challenge Map is a great place to get this achievement, lots of space and plenty of enemies to start over with if necessary. |
![]() | Comment #93 by Arule71 Sunday, July 22, 2012 @ 05:25:17 PM @91...I was having the same problem, I completed a free flow with all the moves listed on the achievement guide several time with no chevo pop...once I included the quick baterang in my combo it popped...and this chevo should be way more than 5 points...one of the harder ones in the game... |
![]() | Comment #94 by PC_GFWL_GAMER Saturday, July 28, 2012 @ 03:44:42 PM Iceberg Lounge is the best map for this by far you can try for ages. Very easy actually but time consuming there is so much space on this map to evade it just becomes a matter of how well you can memorise the 12 moves so its pretty easy to do overall. |
![]() | Comment #95 by Broon43 Monday, July 30, 2012 @ 08:06:54 PM Iceberg lounge may work, if you try and do this cheevo immediately. The enemies get faster and annoying the higher your score is, which makes this difficult. I personally got this without really concentrating on doing all the moves during round 3 of Wayne Manor. Just got onto a groove and got lucky. However, I was at about a X74 combo and KNOW I had done the combo complete with all quickfire gadgets during the combo, the last one being the quickfire REC gun. It popped as soon as I fired it on last guy. So, make sure you do all the quickfires, including batclaw, explosive gel, batarang, REC, freeze blast and all special takedowns. Tough to grab that beatdown and ground pound in the middle, so wait until the last few thugs to grab those. Good luck. Catwoman campaign, you're my last |
![]() | Comment #96 by gurkas Tuesday, October 02, 2012 @ 04:08:39 PM @95, you do not need to do the quickfires except for the batarang. I did the full combo without the batarang, tried again and did the full combo with the batarang and the achievement popped as I did my last attack. I do think that a regular capestun gets included with the ultrastun, but did it alone for safety. Your choice though, but no quickfires but the batarang necessary. |

![]() | Comment #98 by oobawlzmahonyoo Monday, October 29, 2012 @ 10:02:18 AM This one should be worth more than a 5 gamer score but then again. I'm glad its not cause I won't be getting it. |
![]() | Comment #99 by YBEAR Sunday, November 11, 2012 @ 06:29:34 PM Is it confirmed that you have to do the quickfires? Because the roadmap doesn't say that you have to... |
![]() | Comment #100 by LinySandy Saturday, November 24, 2012 @ 04:11:38 PM The evade button makes this cheevo way too easy.. harder to fail really. |
![]() | Comment #101 by Obi-Brown Thursday, December 20, 2012 @ 12:01:20 AM BATARANG! YES QUICK THROW BATARANG! the guide doesn't state this and following what was written I kept getting only 11X variation. As soon as I watched the video and saw the batarang being used, next try I got it. My first thought upon unlocking it was "Really, only 5G for that", but then I guess that had the guide been properly written I would have gotten it hours ago. Phew, not much left now |
![]() | Comment #102 by timbo001 Tuesday, January 22, 2013 @ 01:34:28 PM #50 < The same happened to me, after several x11 variation I checked the statistics and did not find the 'evade' move. Even though, I jumped a lot. Turns out that you need to jump over an enemy right before he hits you. That makes it x12. Quickfire gadgets have nothing to do with this achievement. Those are listed under 'Gadget variation' and there is an achievement for using all 5 in one fight. |
![]() | Comment #103 by timbo001 Wednesday, January 23, 2013 @ 11:49:32 AM ^^ I recommend to do the batarang near the end of your combo because for some reason, it does count towards the moves variation. Evade doesn't trigger often. |
