Campaign Gold Achievement in Batman: Arkham City

  • Campaign Gold

    40

Obtain all 108 medals on the original Arkham City campaigns (as Batman)

  • How to unlock Campaign Gold

Perform well enough to unlock the Gold medal on all 12 Arkham City campaigns as Batman. To unlock these maps, you will have to collect Riddler trophies during the main game. See "Genius" for more info on those.

The campaigns are a combination of previous Combat and Predator challenges. They come in sets of three, with three medals to earn in each section for nine total in each. You have the ability to retry up to three times if you fail to get all three medals on a section, because you'll need all nine medals in one run for each.

You are also given a set of mutators that will alter the gameplay which must all be used at some point during the campaign. You can use up to three in a single section so if you feel confident about a section you can use a bunch to get them out of the way early, making a harder one down the line a little easier.

  • I really hope there is some way to get better at those challenge modes. I loved the first one but I just completely suck at the combat challenges. I spend hours works on them but get no where close to get all the medals. :(
  • @1 I am totaly in the same boat with you man.:(
  • Seriously, watch videos online. It helped me immensely. Slow down and react instead of guessing or mashing.
  • Yeah those challenges sucked hardcore in the first one. I'll have to retry them at some point hopefully.
  • I think that's the reason of new game + I aced the challenges in the first one so i guess i'll have the grip again :)
  • Loved going for the AA ones, looking forward to these :)
  • I agree with #3, I must have watched a dozen combat vids and tried different strategies until I was able to perfect the game. My scores on the leader boards are garbage, but I got the achievements which is all I cared about lol! - Which reminds me… I so need to practice before AC comes out!
  • I'm sorry, but that sucks... Achievements in a game based on what you did in a previous game. WHA?!?!?
  • @8- it says "original Arkham City", not Arkham Asylum, this probably means maps that ship with the game not any future DLC maps likes the Penguin Iceberg Lounge maps or the upcoming Nightwing DLC maps
  • The "campaigns" are a series of 3 challenges strung together, with 3 added "mutators" that (usually) add some difficulty to the challenge. For instance, the first campaign has 1) Challenge is timed and you time is extended when you take down an enemy, 2) 1 enemy at a time in invincible, and 3) you slowly regain health. You must use all 3 mutators over the course of the campaign, so in this case I used the first during the combat challenge, since I was trying to get flawless bonuses anyway, and the other 2 during the 2 predator challenges. There are 12 of these campaigns in total.
  • Woot got it. Not looking forward to doing it with Catwoman though.
  • I just hate how they make achievements like this
  • Just got this before 10 minutes. Woot! Also got the revenge gold cheev before a few days. That's enough of the challenges. Onto NG+ :).
  • To easy with the perks who needs time n health??? Couldve made this challanging
  • I hate these challenges their fun but hard as f**k!
  • I hate these challenges XD
  • I'm really bad at these challenges :(
  • I really HATE them, those campaign challenges are just in this game to frustrate players, I yelled at my xbox thousand times when you die on the last challenge with no retry left. Dumb as fuck
  • These goddamn modifiers fuck me over all the damn time >:(
  • Don't surrender. A bit of practice and lots of patience and steel nerves is all that you need to get these. I'm not an expert, but I achieved to get them all in less than a week. Combat challenges are like a piece of dancing... just follow the rythm and try to excel with the use of the counter/evade movements and try to keep the combos flowing one hit after another. Eliminate the toughest guys with the Y+B finish movement after 5 easy hits and in the last moves try to use the super stun and then the ground finish to get the highest scores. If you have enough time, try tou use all the devices, because 2000 points for using them all is worth the effort.
  • Any tips for the predator challenges?
  • impossible
  • I don't even know why they put these campaigns into the game. They're the same fucking challenges as the ranked maps, just with stupid modifiers that fuck you over. The fact that they sandwich three of them together and gives them a limited amount of retries, just seems like a way to prolong your gameplay. I am almost never having fun while playing these. I usually just give up and scream at my xbox. The challenge maps are awesome, the story is sweet, but the campaigns are fucking ridiculous.
  • These Campaign challenges are simply pointless and shittty. Combat challenges in ranked are fun, but these... really 108? Another 114 for each DLC. Fuck you Rocksteady
  • I totlly agree Earthum, so want the 100% just 3% away, just keep messing up the preditor challenges, combat i find easy, any tips for staying calm :p
  • These predator campaigns are a bitch! I legitimately enjoyed them as challenges, but these arbitrary modifiers add unnecessary difficulty to already difficult challenges. They suck all of the fun out of them too. The worst part is that if I want perfect knight 2.0, I have to do all of these flawlessly. The campaigns suck.
  • Fuck this achievement I stopped after I got Bronze Revenge these are practically impossible with the stupid modifiers
  • Campaign Bronze* not Bronze Revenge
  • man those predator challanges only were very hard but got them done finally, nowon to new game +
  • so hard thats what she said
  • Probably way too dificult to complete, but i won't stop trying
  • My best on the first combat was 6360 for silver you need 12000, chances of Gold for 24000 no chance, I'm given up, going to every challenge for fun, then move onto a new game.
  • Just to add what I said, I just 13575! Just used 5 quick gadgets at the start helped.
  • done this finally with batman, not gunna attempt it with catwoman, would take me far to long!
  • @33 beat downs are great for combo building!
  • campaigns are so boring! i have 4 left... i can do the combat ones better than predator usually, the worst modifiers in combat are gadget malfunction and the damn timer... KO'ing people doesnt replenish shit for time in combat, so its damn near impossible to build up a good combo without draining all your time. and reduced health in predator is a death sentence...
  • Man, so, I am just playing this game because I feel lost without it. I've been playing it straight for so long, and so many hours, the thought of starting a different game is scary when I can just go back to Batman. The only advice I have is go back and Play Arkham Asylum. AA has WAY less forgiving combat, so playing that for a while, and coming back to AC is a breeze. I %100'd AA in a week on Hard, and went back to this and DESTROYED the ranked maps. I'm just playing this because I want Perfect Knight 2.
  • i dont mind doing ranked matches but i hate these its those dam modifiers man...
  • I fail so bad at predator missions so this is hard for me.
  • These campaigns are completely useless and just another way to burn up time. The challenges both pred and combat were better off left alone.
  • These are so fucking hard.
  • Finally got it today, and I don't wanna play this campaigns ever again.
  • Hate campaign challenges so much.
  • One tip that really helped me was getting good at the Combat challenges because it allowed me to use 3 modifiers every time which really helped making the Predators ones seem more like a normal challenge. In the Combat ones, if you can get at least a 7 or higher variation bonus in the 1st and or 2nd rounds, you can use for the most part Special Takedowns. (X + B) which times your combo by 50. When you have a big combo, try to end with a Ground Pound. (RT + Y) which times your Combo by 75 and can give you a huge points. Another big one to finish with is a Titan because it times your combo by 100. Super Powered modifier will make Combat easy and Time Limit is good! For Predator always use the Free medal modifier (End of the Line Extreme). If you have to choose another one, others that
  • Could someone put up a link plz, ive been killing days tryin to get this boo boo over with >.
  • Sounds like a pain in the ass.
  • this should be fun
  • Just spent the entire morning doing the Ruthless Vengeance campaign. FINALLY got my Silver now working on getting this one. Just 3 more campaigns.
  • i give up i have two that keep fucking me up and my last two cheated me and gave 8/9 on both. i give up i need someones help in person i can't handle it anymore. i need a pros help. really want 100%
  • They really should of, at least for the campaign modes let you travel to different locations in gotham and having to get to a certain room in a certain place and have the free roam the main game has. and let you save and retry between each section
  • The campaigns weren't as difficult as everyone seems to be making them out to be. I was able to get 9/9 medals in two or fewer tries on all except Predator Master. The combat is much more forgiving than it was in AA and is where you should be activating your negative modifiers. When the round starts, quickly beat a few enemies to get a 5x combo, deploy bat swarm to stun the closest ones, get your combo up by jumping over their heads and punching in the back, re-deploy bat swarm, repeat. It gets a little boring (there's really no need to use your gadgets or even counters as long as you keep jumping), but the combo increases so rapidly that it's not hard to get 50-75k points in a single round. As for the more difficult predator campaigns, save up strong modifiers (the one-hit kill bataran
  • cont: As for the more difficult predator campaigns, save up strong modifiers (the one-hit kill batarang is incredibly useful), take your time, and don't be afraid to absorb a little damage if that's what it takes to get a certain medal. Most importantly, watch some YouTube videos to get a sense of where enemies will start out so that you can knock off a medal or two early on. Persistence will eventually pay off.
  • Fuck these fuckers!
  • I am not doing all these, and don't you have to get all three point criteria for each challenge to unlock the achievement, no thank you.
  • Just takes practice and discipline :P. Just got the achievement a few minutes ago. It's about finding with dampers go with what. Practice on the maps first. For most combat, go use all 5 gadgets, takedowns, disarming and the like and try to freeflow, for the ones with the titans and the hammer/scythe guys, attack the big guys first, rack up massive combos with the hammer/scythe and then take out the rest, and quickly stun the titans and use them to wipe out everybody and rack up combos. When in doubt use the jump hit method. For Predator maps its a little easier because you can take all the time you want. Just remember to not screw yourself with dampers.
  • At first, the combat challenges were very frustrating because I didn't have the skills. I've become much better but then the challenges went from frustrating to tedious. I just can't find the fun in these things. It's made swear off the rest of the series.
