Make it across the river Styx without failing

  • How to unlock Cross Styx without dying

You'll find the river Styx in memory 7. It's the part where you have to jump from cubical-shaped particle field to cubical-shaped particle field with your jump block, right after the first part with the lasers. There is also a decipher fragment in this part (On the right side after the first jump). Just get through here without falling down (failing) once.

  • Who else thinks Lucy is in hell? :p
  • Assassin's Creed + River Styx = DOES NOT COMPUTE!
  • @1 Styx is a river of the underworld (greek mythology), not the hell ;)
  • @3 My bad, I learnt all I know about Styx from Disney's Hercules (and that's going back a while lol)
  • Not to be a downer but I thought I would do some brief digging: Australia Styx River (New South Wales) Styx River (Queensland) Styx River (Tasmania) New Zealand Styx River (West Coast) Styx River (North Canterbury) Styx River (Canterbury) Styx Creek, in Otago Russia Styx River (Perm) in Perm USA Styx River (Alabama) River Styx (Georgia) River Styx (Gratiot County, Michigan) River Styx (Marquette County, Michigan) Source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Styx_River_(disambiguation) Though I think the other ideas are cooler.
  • what exactly do they mean Cost: Retail Only?! FUCK! WHEN DOES IT COME OUT!
  • Excellent trophy title.
  • i think this single player DLC should've came out first screw the Multi-player DLC. this game shouldnt even have Multi-player in it let alone a boat load of achievements that "map oriented" oooo that hasnt been done before. atleast single player DLC focuses on the task at hand and more towards a storyline of some sort. i feel i get my money's worth out of Single player DLC alot more then i do MP. especially games like this which shouldnt have MP at all like i already said.
  • Ye hope it is single player
  • Have to agree with Comment #8 Assassins creed were always my favourite but in my opinion they took the stupid multiplayer 2 far in this one!
  • Come sail away, come sail away, come sail away with me!
  • @5 I did some brief digging into the achievement picture and it looks like the man in the picture appears to be Death. Scythe, hood, skull and all. :P
  • Just because you suck at AC Multiplayer doesn't mean it shouldn't be on the game.
  • @13-Without multiplayer, we could easily the total number of achievement score. And btw, ppl dont suck at multiplayer, multiplayer sucks !
  • What are these new acheivements?
  • @14 I almost agree with you. I dreaded multiplayer achievements in brotherhood but they were kinda easy this time around. I am in no way the best multiplayer assassin. I just think they introduced a new element into an already great franchise and people liked it enough for them to bring it back. It was new and thrilling at first but now it seems rather tired and redundant. I think they should "forget" to include multiplayer when AC 3 comes out.
  • This really hard. The river is at memory 7.
  • It took me an hour to get this stupid achievement!
  • Took me so many tries for this one. The mislanding on the jump pads, or overshooting the jumps, just exhausting. Finally got it and just took a minute to enjoy it. :)
  • The most stupid achievements ever, I have 100% completion on all assassins creeds inc windows fone, but i will not buy another game from them after such stupid achievements like these 2, pathetic!
  • Actually is not that hard, just be patient, get some skill and eventually you will earn it
  • Easy if you alternate between bounce & flat blocks (both double-tap RB). Land on flat blocks and bounce straight up to place higher bounce blocks.
  • Not to sound too condescending, but it's not that hard, got this by simply playing the DLC. Just make another platform if you fail to land on your first.
  • @22 thx for the good advice, it's really easy this way.
  • I love how how I did it the first time perfect and it wouldn't give me the damn achievement. Also, since you can't use checkpoints for it- you have to start the whole level over every time to try again. WTF? This is more than a bit annoying...
  • Nice imaginative title there...
  • Little tip, after youve started the level, go straight forward all the way to the ledge, you can jump off and aim for the gap with the red light coming from it, if you time it right you can put a block in the dotty box thing and youve skipped 2 minutes of the level :-) youre welcome
  • Great tips #22 and #28. Jump from the ledge and go hard right against the wall. I suggest a triangle piece because it tends to catch better. Don't touch the black at the bottom!!
  • Thanks #22. Really helped.
  • Another little bit of info, restarting the memory DOESN'T reset the letter or fragment counters, any collected will still be there if you restart, I failed twice and restarted memory and got the achievement.
  • Spent about 30 minutes on this, failing miserably. Read comments 22 and 28, get it first try. I love you guys.
  • It's easy when you have the right angle to spawn the jump blocks, put them I front of you but slightly below you and you shouldn't miss one of the spawning blocks.
  • :/ I got aggravated with this far too much
  • I kept sliding off the jump pads until made sure I was falling straight down before placing a new jump pad.
  • Seriously, #22 helped. got it with that method first try. Thank you
  • Tip: Stay cool. I can almost guarantee you will get excited when you approach the end or keep getting to a part you have to repeat. Step away and go do something else for a bit, then come back. I could've gotten it the 1st try if I had calmed down, but ended up getting it on like the 10th try.
  • Not as bad as 'Impress Warren Vidic'
