Complete the Animus testing sequence without failing

  • How to unlock Impress Warren Vidic

Play memory 4 without failing once. Memorise the level and the patterns of the lasers and particle fields. It will propably take you 5-10 tries, but overall it's not too hard to achieve.

Here's a video for further assistance:

  • looks like this dlc is based on the animus and Desmond please ubisoft make it awesome cant wait to play :)
  • Vidic is back! This sounds like the tutorial of the multiplayer mode, but there's no way they could justify 50G for it.
  • For 50G, maybe this means you have to make it through the entire DLC without failing. Kinda like the Alan Wake DLCs. Oh this only makes me more frustrated.
  • Not a fan of these 3D sequences. That is putting it lightly. NOt all of the memories are related to animus "training" (I am currently in memory 3). So I think it may just be for a certain memory that involves Vidic.
  • Involves beating memory 4 without dying. ...Still hate 3D Creed.
  • Last achievement i need. I already hate this, hard.
  • Screw this achievement. Seriously. I place a block down and even though the top of an arch is like 5 feet above me, there's an invisible wall and I'll hit it and fall on a laser and die. That or the jumping mechanic screws me over multiple times. As if these sequences weren't bad enough already.
  • This is by far the most difficult achievement for the whole AC series. It's not that it's impossible but just really annoying and even worse, you have to play the horrible "puzzle platforming" gameplay over and over again. uhhhh.
  • This is by far the most difficult achievement for the whole AC series. It's not that it's impossible but just really annoying and even worse, you have to play the horrible "puzzle platforming" gameplay over and over again. uhhhh.
  • ... now that I've played it, I wish the DLC had been more multi-player maps...
  • i hate the yellow beams... going on 5th attempt now -__-
  • Finally got this after the 20th attempt. The last bit kept pi§§ing me off where you had to drop down - very frustrating achievement but so glad to get it :D
  • I give up. I broke a Turtle Beach headset and a controller. And there is a hole in my closet door from throwing a battery. This is an absolute joke. Show me one developer who has this achievement. Fuck you Ubisoft.
  • Finally got this! As they say, third time's the charm. The beginning was simple but the middle with all the lasers was the real aggravating part. Once I got past that without dying I just ran on nerves through the drop-down. Landed on the floor and then....boink. P.S. Is everyone else moving their head around while doing these block puzzle things too?
  • The most stupid achievements ever, I have 100% completion on all assassins creeds inc windows fone, but i will not buy another game from them after such stupid achievements like these 2, pathetic!
  • do you really have to do this in one play through or can you just repeat ones that you have failed?
  • ignore my last post as i just figuared it out
  • Actually is not that hard, just be patient, get some skill and eventually you will earn it
  • Yeah, this one is not fun. Took me several times, ending with screams of WTF. However, at least the 50 G is worth its salt. Meaning this whole DLC (while boring and not worth the price) has at least a good balance of Gamerscore vs Achievements. Not like 30 G just for using your damn bodyguard...
  • A few dozen tries and you should be able to get this. When you get to the last part where you drop down try it in two parts: The first part is fairly easy to avoid the panels that kill you drop in the middle, move to the left and then back to the middle until you land on a safe stationary platform in the middle. As you drop down from this platform try to continue to move in a counter-clockwise direction using the flat Tetris piece as a bridge when necessary. That helped me.
  • Got this today, actually took me less time to get this than it did the crossing river styx cheevo. As said already, just be patient and dont panic.
  • I got it after I ate my spinach.
  • @15 Do you have any idea how pathetic you sound?
  • It's been confirmed that you can die before you actually fall into the animus. You only have to stay alive from the 2nd part of the level until you reach the bottom of the shaft with all the blocks moving in and out. Just take your time on the whole level and the shaft is pretty easy if you keep using your blocks and don't just try to fall down real far.
  • Thank you Ubisoft. Not enough that I had to waste 800 Microsoft Points, now I also have to waste my time for such a stupid achievement.
  • @24 why do I sound pathetic, look at forums 99% hate this achiev, maybe since u lack any gaming skills and are still playing tetris, this is fun to you
  • Terrible achievement...got it today after about 20 total tries. All I can say is just practice, practice, practice. If you die, don't start over...practice the area you died on and continue on doing the same thing. Die on purpose on the hard areas to figure what works best for you in those situations. The last part is almost pure luck, but again...practice it A LOT so when you make your good run you'll know what to do and not panic.
  • you only hav to this on level 4. its hard but the guy i saw do it, did it in one go
  • might try this again later before my controller has to suffer my rage
  • Took me 4 trys. Its hard but not too fn hard... By now you already know how shit works... Just focus on ur moves, If you die remember wat u did wrong on that part. Easy. If you havent got it thats becuz ur probably a rage player, focus and patience = 50GS
  • Done by 2nd try ^^ (first playthrough not involved) i just made it through and remembered the difficults in this level... then just done it... don't know why you all think it's too hard to do
  • 3rd try. Patience is key, agree with #31, rage gaming will not get you this one. This marks all 4 AC games 100% and all achievements. October now seems a long way off.
  • Annoying, Styx is very easy compared to this. Still no 100% GS because I don't play multiplayer in these games
  • @35 You really should give it a try. I was skeptical, but it is actually quite fun....
  • @35 The Multi player is the best by far, just try it and you'll soon be hooked.
  • This seems impossible. Enough said
  • Driving me mental. The yellow lasers near the end keep getting me. Then I get stressed and die on stupid bits. When I finally get past the lasers I hope I do the fall down in one go otherwise RAWR. Its been hours
  • my last revelations achievement. driving me crazy
  • I just got this today. So proud of myself. Ridiculously frustrating. All I can say is, be patient, don't freak the heck out, and pray.
  • @15 You want buy another AC game because you can't get an achievement? Your loss. Lol.
  • #41 I echo your very true statement. Particularly the part about praying. Sodding thing took me about 50 tries. Evil achievement.
  • Took me two days but finally got it, possibly on sheer luck in that falling part at the end
  • It was definitely a challenge but it wasn't anything impossible... I don't know why everyone gets so mad. If you take your time, and understand all the difficult parts its not bad..
  • I got to last level but then died.....I raged quit... XD
  • does anybody know if a fall is into the blueish purpleish ground only or does getting killed by the lasers ruin the achievement also?
  • lasers ruin it for you, pretty much anything that resets you at a checkpoint..
  • This Achievement is so brain hurting, I dun think I'm gonna get this one, good thing I dun care TOO much to 100% games.
  • Fuck this achievement. Lack of being able to save or reverting to checkpoints makes this stupidly luck based and no skill.
  • piece of shit. no more ass ass ins games after this one!
  • Not too difficult every moment between an obstacle take a deep breath and try again. The falling part at the end is actually the easiest part in my opinion.
  • It's hard to say if I enjoy when I accomplish these achievements or reading people cry about them more. I'd much rather this than having to keep track of which templars I killed and which flags I collected in the first AC. Took me quite a few tries (25+) cause I run everything like I'm doing a speed run but this one definitely isn't tough enough to lose your shit over.
  • Was really scared after reading these comments but I did it on my first try??? Completely forgot to pay attention to the achievements maybe that's why.
  • Practised on my story run. Did it in one go no-die run. Experiment on what works well. I find slopes work well for blocking yellow lasers.
  • It took me 11 times. In the shaft use your blocks to control our fall but use the wedge because if you find you are too close to any of the black electric blocks then you can run up the wedge and it will give you some extra time to clear them. I used the wedges on my 11th attempt and got thought it
  • Wow, by far one of the most ridiculous achievements I've seen. So glad that in AC3 they have the restart from last checkpoint cuz this is just..... Wow.
  • 3 hours and not even close to getting this. May have to give up this one.
  • To get this you only have to do memory four without dying not all seven memories.
  • So many wouldn't be this frustrated if the platforming in these trials weren't so clunky and awful.
  • I want to confirm once again, lasers do count for this achievement. If you are killed by lasers you need to try this again.
  • FUCK this achievement. Fuck it right up it's fucked up ass. It's that last drop that keeps getting me. And the more I try, the faster I try to play through the rest of the level again to get back to it which of course results in more fails (rookie error, I know). Gonna be satisfying to see this bitch pop when I finally get it.
  • Ah, nothing like a written rant to clear the mind. Got it, after about 35 tries in total.
  • This was okay. Took me maybe 10 tries. Lol, some of you guys should never try to 100% Super Meat Boy.
  • I really do hate this, nearly did it first try and accidentally nudged my analogue stick and died... now after so many attempts I need to take a break and come back to it, gone through so many cigarettes and just means replaying this stupid first person mode over and over and over
  • I remember trying this at least a year ago... I failed.. but! It's time to give it another go!
  • Its a real pain in the ass. My only advice is trial and error.
  • If I died by laser. will I got this achievement?
  • This achievement is impossible for me, get to the ending 4 every time and I die from sheer junk. I've hit the bottom from a survivable height 3 times but the game says I die, Going on about 12 hours trying to get this damned thing
  • FUCKING FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK THIS ACHIEVEMENT I just want to complete the game so I can finally play Assassin's Creed III that has been on my shelf for 8 months.
  • Ok after a few hours I finally got it :) /endrage
  • Finally got this, first try today...@67 if you died anywhere in the "animus" you have to restart the mission, you can die as many times as you want beforehand as far as I can tell.
  • It's taken me months to get this achievement, but that is only because I would get frustrated and stop playing. If I had to add up the amount of time it must've taken me to get this achievement, I would say an hour and thirty minutes. I'm gonna make some bullets to summarize hopefully what some others have said and give tips of my own. -Getting frustrated? Step away from the game. Return when you are SURE you have focus driving you, not adrenaline and desperation to finish. -Failed a part? Replay that part over and over to make up a strategy that works best for you. -Reached the farthest you've ever gotten? Take a break, calm your nerves, the excitement from getting that far /can/ increase your chances of failing. -Watch the video above to get a basic idea of strategy, bu
  • (continued; sorry about the cut-off above) -Watch the video above to get a basic idea of strategy, but don't force yourself to try to match theirs (I noticed while watching it that they were succeeding through some parts by slivers of chance and luck - which honestly you end up doing yourself - so don't be too reliant upon the video) -Watching the video as well shows you how many stations (yellow bars, red bars, moving blue blocks, direction of wind-pixels) you have to pass through in a part, how those stations operate, etc, especially helpful during parts where the stations are lined up in a sequence, because it'll allow you to see the layout and prepare yourself a strategy -You can fail as many times as you want before jumping into the animus (when you jump into the first hole;
  • (continued; cut off again) -You can fail as many times as you want before jumping into the animus (when you jump into the first hole; its in the room that signals Warren Vidic to greet you "Welcome to the Animus, Subject 16" upon entering it) -At the end, when you drop down through the two-part tunnel of shifting blue-pixel-blocks, DEFINITELY watch the video to see what kind of openings you'll be aiming to successfully fall through on each square, and how many you need to get through to make it to the the middle break (your safezone before the 2nd and final station in this part). (Knowing how many you have to fall through might ease your nerves some, that way it won't be this mysterious number that feels endless. It sure helped me knowing that.) This is an extremely annoying achie
  • (continued; final part - I wish they would list how many characters I had left so I wasn't continuously cut off) This is an extremely annoying achievement, and I understand the people that are being driven mad trying to get it but cannot walk away from it because they're a completionist like myself. You /will/ get it. Walk away completely from the game for several hours, days, weeks, months if you have to. Just realize that each time you come back, you might have to practice a little bit to get your basic understanding for the layout of the memory back. Good luck!
  • Got it in 4-5 tries.. Key to succes? TAKE YOUR TIME
  • The part with Yellow Lasers is the hardest everything else is easy if you're timing it right
  • Took my 2 hours to get this thing. Boy was it satisfying to get it though. My first hour I just charged like a bull in a china shop and got to the yellow lasers and that is what got me, mainly that last laser. The second hour I just had to work around the drop aspect then it was pretty simple after figuring out the block thing. Advice, be an assassin and not the bull.
  • I did it! Fuck yeah!
  • @79 Grats! I'm not quite there yet...need some nice calming music and chamomile tea to keep me sane!
