![]() | Comment #1 by kennyubasterd00 Sunday, October 30, 2011 @ 11:44:54 AM So I'm guessing this is the alternative to buying paintings? |
![]() | Comment #2 by Coroner117 Sunday, November 06, 2011 @ 09:22:15 AM @ 1, Yep, Revelations doesn't have a painting gallery (as in Brotherhood) or paintings on the walls (as in Assassin's Creed II in Monterigionni). Ezio now has a library. |
![]() | Comment #3 by SiyusNL Tuesday, November 15, 2011 @ 08:41:28 AM I have no idea how to get this one, bought every book the shops sell but it didnt pop up yet.. |
![]() | Comment #4 by jimbo941992 Tuesday, November 15, 2011 @ 07:18:26 PM I don't think these are books that you buy. If you look on your map there should be pictures of books, these are quests where you search for hidden books. |
![]() | Comment #5 by jimbo941992 Tuesday, November 15, 2011 @ 07:19:49 PM I don't think these are books that you buy. If you look on your map there should be pictures of books, these are quests where you search for hidden books. |
![]() | Comment #6 by jimbo941992 Tuesday, November 15, 2011 @ 07:22:20 PM I should clarify, on the map there are pic's that say book shop and ones that say book, the ones that say book are the missions for hidden books. |
![]() | Comment #7 by adionis Wednesday, November 16, 2011 @ 09:24:56 AM To complete, also do all Polo's book missions! |
![]() | Comment #8 by jimbo941992 Wednesday, November 16, 2011 @ 01:07:22 PM I guess not seeing as i have got 100% on all book quest and it did not unlock. |
![]() | Comment #9 by Le iX Wednesday, November 16, 2011 @ 01:54:19 PM You need to buy every books in every town, and you need a lot of money...about 400 000 cred... |
![]() | Comment #10 by Kaze Katana Wednesday, November 16, 2011 @ 04:45:42 PM The following is the prices for each book. This is minus any faction price difference. Cappadoica Books: Bibiotheca 97750 Cronica 76475 Tirant lo Blanch 86250 Digenes Akritas 59800 --- Total 320275 Would have done Constantinople as well, if i hadn't already bought them all. Maybe if someone could do it for others. |
![]() | Comment #11 by adionis Wednesday, November 16, 2011 @ 04:57:12 PM at #8 you need to have done all Polo's book missions (not only the storyline missions) also need to buy all books in both cities... this is most likely very easy to get, only takes a lot of cashing time |
![]() | Comment #12 by moerbi Friday, November 18, 2011 @ 11:12:24 AM how do yo get in Cappadoica after the storyline? |
![]() | Comment #13 by branticus53 Friday, November 18, 2011 @ 01:00:14 PM @ #12 you use the dna menu and select one of the missions |
![]() | Comment #14 by Gib247 Friday, November 18, 2011 @ 02:21:16 PM @12 There's a boat to Cappadoica from the North part of Constantinople - I think it's the one one the very right. |
![]() | Comment #15 by EL1T3 x Friday, November 18, 2011 @ 04:53:50 PM Does anyone know how long it would take to accumulate 320,000A on a 28,000 revenue deposit per 20 mins? Hate maths :D |
![]() | Comment #16 by Slippery86 Friday, November 18, 2011 @ 05:16:54 PM its 4 hours mate , im about to go to cappadoica |
![]() | Comment #17 by EL1T3 x Friday, November 18, 2011 @ 05:49:15 PM Cheers :) Just gonna hire some thieves then idle the game for bit :D |
![]() | Comment #18 by Slippery86 Saturday, November 19, 2011 @ 12:40:25 AM just keep your fingers ccrossed that you dont get killed by a thief you will have to keep going back to it every hour though unless you buy all the banks mine can only hold up2 60k :( |
![]() | Comment #19 by Blumpenstein Sunday, November 20, 2011 @ 02:11:10 PM This is achievement is my 2nd last to get...and it sucks waiting for deposits. |
![]() | Comment #20 by Cpt Obvious Sunday, November 20, 2011 @ 05:50:33 PM You could also unlock the thief faction ability, which means that the thieves following you will pickpocket everybody in sight. If you're looking for memoir pages or data fragments this could help net a few more bucks. |
![]() | Comment #21 by SilentHill002 Monday, November 21, 2011 @ 10:27:06 AM You can also keep sending your assassins on missions to help gather more money. It will be a while for me to get this I only have 110,000 |
![]() | Comment #22 by clay304 Tuesday, November 22, 2011 @ 05:39:34 PM Another way to get money while your waiting for your income to be deposited in the bank is to go to the shop where you get the bomb missions. There you can sell your ingredients and if you open the bomb station beside his desk it will give you some ingredients. Walk into the shop grab ingredients walk out then go back in and youll get more ingredients do this 3 times before selling back the guy and youll make about 4000 everytime |
![]() | Comment #23 by Sid Viper Friday, November 25, 2011 @ 04:14:12 PM A good way to increase your income is to do the Mediterranean defense missions. First get them all under assassin control (which is also an achievement) Then build up each city. After you have done the bulk of the missions in one city move to the next. For most missions you either earn money or increase the earning that that city gives you. Just be sure and defend the cities that get attacked. If nothing else it helps to break the monotony of waiting for the next deposit. |
![]() | Comment #24 by Sid Viper Friday, November 25, 2011 @ 04:15:24 PM Also just like in AC Brotherhood there will always be about 4 missions that are recurring so you will never be able to have a city completed so to speak. |
![]() | Comment #25 by KillCurt Friday, November 25, 2011 @ 10:30:32 PM I just checked the hideout library and somehow I'm still missing one book. It's in the first shelf you see when when going into the library and the first on the list right above "ONE THOUSAND AND ONE NIGHTS". If someone could please tell me the name of the book or better yet how to get it, it would be much appreciated. |
![]() | Comment #26 by Dissident-Soul Saturday, November 26, 2011 @ 02:26:45 PM i have books missing it seems some of them you can only buy in cappodecia which means means you have to got to a previous mission...but they are very expensive books |
![]() | Comment #27 by WargasmicTzipi Saturday, November 26, 2011 @ 03:55:16 PM #10, the books cost more than that. The Digenes Akritas is costing me 65,780. The reason I don't know what they were because I have them. |
![]() | Comment #28 by Xiraoffire78 Wednesday, November 30, 2011 @ 09:49:19 PM I ended up get thieves to pickpocket to help get money for the last few books. Those were some very expensive books. -_- |
![]() | Comment #29 by hatchet hero Sunday, December 04, 2011 @ 04:40:18 AM The ones in cappodecia are the only ones I am missing one of them cost almost 100K. Also their is a Ferry that takes you back their, its to the bottom left corner on the top island. |
![]() | Comment #30 by hatchet hero Sunday, December 04, 2011 @ 04:41:23 AM Sorry I meant The bottom Right not left |
![]() | Comment #31 by shadowbeast11 Tuesday, December 06, 2011 @ 10:24:15 AM I currently have 7k and a ton of books to go. This is my last single player achievement. Any advice other than doing Med. Def. games, on how to get cash fast? |
![]() | Comment #32 by Zepaw Saturday, December 10, 2011 @ 11:35:37 AM Second #22. I rarely used bombs so I made so much bank selling ingredients to him. |
![]() | Comment #33 by sycoe135 Sunday, December 11, 2011 @ 11:10:56 AM The hardest part of the Achievement is obviously buying the books in the miserable cavern with the 10% Templar tax, Cappadocia. That place has(besides some exclusive, yet lame weapons, and a medicine pouch only available there) the 4 books totalling 268,180 Akce. Somebody suggested shamelessly waiting in the hideout or a den(safe from stalkers), (the South Den, closest to a bank) and waiting for an hour, since the game won't pause for idling. |
![]() | Comment #34 by sycoe135 Sunday, December 11, 2011 @ 05:06:18 PM It's prudent if you renovate the banks first, then you have more optimal locations to collect your money, since that's where the bulk of the 270,000 Akce will come from. |
![]() | Comment #35 by Black Dahlia Monday, December 12, 2011 @ 07:44:58 PM im currently getting around 13,000 Akce every 20min and this is taking forever, left console on last night and forgot I had 6 hour power save mode on and xbox shut down, so left it on during work today and half the country has had powercuts, im cursed I tell ya. 2 books to go! |
![]() | Comment #36 by ponchomon Tuesday, December 13, 2011 @ 05:09:25 AM I thought that I already had this achievement before looking through my list and saw that I didn't Now I wish I paid more attention instead of buying things like armour that I didn't need. |
![]() | Comment #37 by zepedance Tuesday, December 13, 2011 @ 03:05:01 PM just sell all the ingredients you have to the Piri Reis guy, and keep doing the thing with the bomb crafting box and keep selling and selling, also assign your assassins to the highest rewarded mediterrean defense missions and over time you will earn a lot of money, counting the 20min deposit in the bank, i got a little less than 200k in about 45 min. not so dificult if you boost this way. |
![]() | Comment #38 by XIPRo Saturday, December 17, 2011 @ 02:59:01 PM How do you get Lot of money its my last achievement to unlock i have every achievement + the DLC achievements |
![]() | Comment #39 by Bakersports Sunday, December 18, 2011 @ 08:03:52 PM Do you need to buy the treasure maps to get this achievement? |
![]() | Comment #40 by Oghoraelle Wednesday, December 21, 2011 @ 06:45:33 AM Ok i don't meant to sound like a D.A. but here is a list of all the books i have and i still have not unlocked the achievement: On Nature,Aesop's Fables,Mission to Constantinople,Parallel Lives, The Odyssey,Aeneid,Geography,The Book of Prophecies, The History of the Kings of Britain,Anabasis Alexandri,Opus Majus, Heimskringla,The Secret History of the Mongols,Record of the Grand Historian, The Golden Ass,Metamorphoses,The Travels of Marco Polo, One Thousand and One Nights,Nibelungenlied,Iliad,The Canterbury Tales,The Flute Girl, Bibliotheca, Cronica,Tirant Lo Blanch,Digenes Akritas. If you have a book that i don't please let me know because i have 100% on the book quest and i have bought all of the books i can from Constantinople and Cappadocia but still no achievement. |
![]() | Comment #41 by Oghoraelle Wednesday, December 21, 2011 @ 07:48:54 AM Ook so i figured it out i have all of the books but the new patch that came out has a bug in it that is keeping me from getting the achievement |
![]() | Comment #44 by GoldenEagle Thursday, December 22, 2011 @ 05:51:35 PM I've sent two emails to Ubisoft, and have only recieved a reply to the first one. This is what i says, and I quote:"Hi , Thank you for reporting this issue. I have sent this along through the appropriate channels for processing. If this issue is resolved, the solution will appear on the support section of our website" That's from a support guy named Jason, and I'm sure that recieved more than one complaint, so to speak. If everyone would send something to Ubisoft, I'm sure they'll feel more pressured to fix the patch. Also, I'm boycotting any Ubisoft product for the time being, be it AssCreed, Splinter Cell, etc. I've even took down my Revelations theme from the dashboard. If anything, this whole thing just makes them look very unprofessional. btw this was also my last achiev |
![]() | Comment #45 by My Intentions Friday, December 23, 2011 @ 02:18:15 AM This one was annoying... I just played skyrim on my pc and ammased money and collected in game until i had enough... huge time waster if you dont have anything else to do... |
![]() | Comment #46 by GoldenEagle Saturday, December 24, 2011 @ 12:03:07 AM Just recieved two emails from the other two messages I've sent, they go as follows: "As indicated previously, this is a known issue that the developers are currently investigating. As soon as any additional information becomes available, it will be placed in the game's forums and in our FAQ. Thank you for your understanding in this matter." These have all been from Jason. Is Jason his real name? I don't know. What I do know is that I'm extremly disappointed for another reason. I'd been really looking foward to playing a lot of AssCreed, but I'll be getting Skyrim for Christmas, so that'll consume my life. WTF am I saying? I don't care how much I love the Creed, Skyrim > Revelations |
![]() | Comment #47 by iAlexOnFire Saturday, December 24, 2011 @ 04:28:52 PM So I have bought all the books from both cities and have gotten all of the secret books that you have to retrieve with Eagle Vision. Is this a glitch or something..? I still have not got the achievement. |
![]() | Comment #48 by iAlexOnFire Saturday, December 24, 2011 @ 04:31:12 PM that require Eagle Vision and I have still not got the achievement. Is this a glitch? |
![]() | Comment #49 by syckrhythm Saturday, December 24, 2011 @ 06:00:36 PM I don't get it, I've done every single thing to get every single book and I di not receive this achievement. |
![]() | Comment #50 by Twincats Saturday, December 24, 2011 @ 06:47:15 PM This is really frustrating... I spent so much time planning my financial situation early in the game--I seriously went and claimed all the Dens and renovated every shop in Constantinople in the second and third sequences--I end up with almost a million in currency, happily buying every book... But nothing. >______< Please patch this ASAP Ubisoft. =| |
![]() | Comment #51 by MrsCarriage Sunday, December 25, 2011 @ 07:31:11 AM @50 I have the same problem as you. I've bought every book (both cities), and found every Polo book. It's quite bothersome. |
![]() | Comment #52 by PennStater Sunday, December 25, 2011 @ 09:23:31 PM According to the thread below, the update from a few weeks ago broke this achievement. There is a remedy listed, but I don't know how it applies to scenarios if you've already bought all of the books I have all of them and the achievement isn't popping up even after following their instructions. http://www.trueachievements.com/a157178/sage-achievement.htm |
![]() | Comment #53 by PennStater Sunday, December 25, 2011 @ 09:24:52 PM (BTW, sorry for posting to another achievement site; but if that bug actually exists, hopefully others here will get rid of the update before their last book is bought.) |
![]() | Comment #54 by MVLee1 Wednesday, December 28, 2011 @ 04:42:29 AM Any idea as to when this will be fixed? |
![]() | Comment #55 by GoldenEagle1476 Wednesday, December 28, 2011 @ 05:20:11 PM No idea. I was hoping before New Year's, but it looks like that won't happen. |
![]() | Comment #56 by UpcountryBrumak Thursday, December 29, 2011 @ 02:40:43 PM For everyone who has bought every book and completed every hidden book quest - AS of 12/11/2011 this trophy CANNOT be unlocked due to the 1.02 update,if you are trying to get this achievement DO Not i repeat DO NOT try to get it while you have already installed 1.02.For the guys who haven't bought al? the books yet they need to uninstall and bypass update 1.02 |

![]() | Comment #62 by Prince Iple Tuesday, January 03, 2012 @ 04:32:58 AM Can you still get this acheivement bydeleting the update if you've already got all the books?????? |
![]() | Comment #63 by Alex1906 Tuesday, January 03, 2012 @ 12:19:50 PM I deleted the update when i had all the books out of intrest. Didnt work, god damn it only achievement left! |
![]() | Comment #64 by CAPTALN HAMMER Wednesday, January 04, 2012 @ 02:27:20 AM I thought I'd try and be smart and delete the title data and just try recollecting one of the books. It doesn't work :( |
![]() | Comment #65 by Blumenfeld Wednesday, January 04, 2012 @ 06:47:18 PM I hate glitched achievements |
![]() | Comment #66 by AlkamistStar Thursday, January 05, 2012 @ 10:53:32 AM WARNING! PLEASE READ: This achievement is glitched unless you delete Patch 1.02. Do not update your game, and complete the requirements for this achievement. Known bugs with Patch 1.02: Bomb Challenges (Crafting) Craft Maniac Achievement Pyromaniac Achievement Sage Achievement |

![]() | Comment #69 by FredTheFrog Saturday, January 07, 2012 @ 11:50:59 AM I've done all the book missions, bought all the books and treasure maps from both cities and i still havent got the achievement? WTF? |
![]() | Comment #70 by Lou Evil Saturday, January 07, 2012 @ 07:46:59 PM this is absolute bullshit. i have every single book and completed all the book missions. i didnt find out about the glitch until after i got everything. i went back and deleted the update and STILL NO FUCKING ACHIEVEMENT! so i guess i just got screwed out of my 1000. for the first time in an AC game i dont get all 1000 because of a fucking glitch. IF U HAVENT GOT ALL THE BOOKS YET DONT COLLECT THEM ALL BEFORE DELETING THIS BULLSHIT UPDATE BECAUSE YOU WILL NEVER GET IT AFTER THE FACT!!!!!!!!!! FUCK UBISOFT! |
![]() | Comment #71 by SK83R SH00T0UT Saturday, January 07, 2012 @ 10:34:59 PM I deleted the latest update before I had sell the books, and when I got the last one the achievement popped up. If already having all the books before deleting the update doesn't work, then Ubisoft will hopefully fix the problem. If not, then people will have to play all the to sequence mission in sequence five that unlocks that area with the boats before they can collect all the Nicolo Polo books. Here's a link to a GameFaqs guide with the locations of all the books: http://www.gamefaqs.com/ps3/628357-assassins-creed-revelations/faqs/63377 |
![]() | Comment #72 by SK83R SH00T0UT Saturday, January 07, 2012 @ 10:36:10 PM Sell the books? That must have been my autocorrect or something. I meant to say ALL the books. |

![]() | Comment #74 by Kyanite Sunday, January 08, 2012 @ 03:38:45 PM @ #43 - Stop doing that, fucktard! |
![]() | Comment #75 by Naberios Sunday, January 08, 2012 @ 11:02:37 PM I don't understand how people for whom this "is their last achievement" can not have enough money to buy the last of the books. I'm not even to the point where I can travel to Cappadocia and I have like 2 million in my purse (man purse...). As far as: "Known bugs with Patch 1.02: Bomb Challenges (Crafting) Craft Maniac Achievement Pyromaniac Achievement Sage Achievement" I've completed the Bomb Challenge, Craft Maniac, and Pyromaniac achievements all after downloading the patch, so I'm not sure of the accuracy of this statement. Anyway, I'll post back after getting all the books to let you know whether or not the patch is the deciding factor in gaining the Sage achievement. |
![]() | Comment #76 by SteelJay7 Sunday, January 08, 2012 @ 11:37:02 PM After hearing of so many people having trouble with this achievement, I gave it a shot last night. I spent 3 and a half hours collecting the money in order to buy all the Cappodocia books. BTW ridiculous amount of money to buy these damn things. Anyway I finally got the money, bought the books, pressed A on every single book title. Backed out and........no achievement. Dashboarded and deleted the title update. Booted it back up again and checked all own books. To my surprise it showed 2 of the Constantine books I didn't have. Got the money to get those books, went to the book shop, bought the final 2, backed out and it was as if the achievement couldn't pop up fast enough! I was barely out of the screen and I saw the glorious Letters S A G E on my screen! I was delighted. Tho |
![]() | Comment #77 by N0BL3 L3G3ND Monday, January 09, 2012 @ 06:09:40 PM i have bought all the books and done all the book missions and removed the update but still cant get the achievement |
![]() | Comment #78 by MisTaKeZ Tuesday, January 10, 2012 @ 09:17:41 AM I figured out how to get this achievement . Me and my two other friends did it yesterday and we now have all the achievements . Its really simple and I don't know why people are having problems . First ,just buy every book in Constantinople . Doesn't matter if your off the update or on it . I bought all those books with the update online . Second , complete all the Polo book quest with or without the update . Again I did it with the update online . Third , take the ferry to Cappadocia ( the underground city ) and buy 3 of the 4 books there . DONT BUY THE LAST BOOK . Last , save your game and go dashboard , go to your hard drive and clear system cache , then go and manually delete the title update for assassins creed revelations . After you do all of that unplug your ethernet c |
![]() | Comment #79 by majpr nake Thursday, January 12, 2012 @ 07:31:09 AM this is so stupid i sat there for 3 1/2 hours saving money nd still no damn achievement ubisoft needs to fix this nd fast cuz i want my shit |
![]() | Comment #80 by x Daedal Thursday, January 12, 2012 @ 06:34:48 PM Luckily, I was able to realize this achievement was glitched before buying the last 4 Cappadocia books. I deleted the "Title Update 1" from my hard drive, started the game, refused the update, and bought the 4 books. The achievement popped (thank god). Now my question is, can I download the update and go play multiplayer? Or will this delete my achievement or do something else retarded? |
![]() | Comment #81 by AlkamistStar Friday, January 13, 2012 @ 02:07:36 PM Despite trying all these so called "fixes" with deleting my system cache and so forth, NONE....NONE(!) worked. If you have already bought all the books with the update patch (1.02) then you WILL HAVE TO replay the game and buy the last book while OFF the patch/update (resulting in the achievement being gained offline). |
![]() | Comment #82 by Jake12137 Saturday, January 14, 2012 @ 06:40:08 AM So I'm now starting my second play through purely to get this achievement (It is the only one I have left!) I will make sure I have enough money saved up then go "offline" and buy all the books in one hit (after deleting the update obviously). Well done Ubisoft -.- |
![]() | Comment #83 by irritatie Sunday, January 15, 2012 @ 08:49:45 AM Hmmm after reading this I guess I'll just have to wait for another update. I'm only missing the book and bomb achievements, although I'm sure I've got them all. |
![]() | Comment #84 by allegromouse Sunday, January 15, 2012 @ 04:33:50 PM This is dumb. Ubisoft just needs to fix this finally. I expected more of them. Just sayin..... |
![]() | Comment #85 by VitalLord Sunday, January 15, 2012 @ 06:53:39 PM I have all books and i dont have the achivement -__- WHY |
![]() | Comment #86 by Dimebag Riley Monday, January 16, 2012 @ 04:30:54 PM @#44 - just sent ubisoft an email and got a reply from jason as well saying he would pass on the issue.... it also said after 21 days i could repost the issue... you should do this seen as how your last post was over 21 days ago. keep bugging the shit out of them until they fix it. I will be! |
![]() | Comment #87 by shockfire3DG Wednesday, January 18, 2012 @ 04:39:21 PM what the hell, all that time and no acheivement |
![]() | Comment #88 by Jamieson8 Wednesday, January 18, 2012 @ 05:56:12 PM -__- Wow. First Ubisoft failed to include one of their precious "Passports" in my unopened game. Now after failing to get this achievement and I come online to read about why and I see they're fail-worthy customer service and professional attitude about it. Suck a bag of dicks Ubisoft! I'm still waiting for my online pass code..seriously. |
![]() | Comment #89 by theazar Thursday, January 19, 2012 @ 03:11:02 PM on my 2nd play through now the last offline achievement to get... and i can't really be bothered with the new dlc achievements wahhhhhhh |
![]() | Comment #90 by Storm KS Friday, January 20, 2012 @ 11:27:31 PM Hey Guys. I just wanted you to know, if you delete the title update and then replay the game offline, you can get the achievement. I just finished playing the game for the second time through and bought all the books, and sure enough, Sage achievement popped up. I know it takes a long time, but it will work if you delete the title update and create a new game and play through that game without downloading the update at all during that time. It is up to you guys, either wait a month or so before it starts to work again or spend one more week playing through the story as fast as possible. |
![]() | Comment #91 by Jamieson8 Tuesday, January 24, 2012 @ 11:23:45 AM Have no fear. Just checked the Ubisoft Support Facebook page and they have stated that the patch to fix Sage is already underway and being released soon. |

![]() | Comment #93 by E vee dub Wednesday, January 25, 2012 @ 06:46:42 AM I had already updated this game. I went to my hard drive, erased the system cache and the title update. Offline, I loaded up Sequence 7 Mission 2. I bought the last 4 books in Cappadocia (I already did the Polo book quests), and the achievement unlocked. Thanks for the heads up and warnings. Good luck everyone. |

![]() | Comment #95 by LOCK SHOOTER x Sunday, January 29, 2012 @ 02:09:35 AM there are also books on capadosia but they are very expensive the books are above the 50000 and 1 of them is like 107000 |
![]() | Comment #96 by K Dog Batcher Sunday, January 29, 2012 @ 12:18:08 PM Glad I read this because i was losing my mind. Have all the books but no achievement. Sucks. Hopefully that will fix itself. Time to just finish the game. |
![]() | Comment #97 by freshshaggy Monday, January 30, 2012 @ 10:57:46 AM ive got all the books but no achievement sucks |

![]() | Comment #100 by JeffMomm Thursday, February 02, 2012 @ 12:15:52 AM Got this link from the Ubisoft Support FB page. It says the Sage bug has been fixed and will be released with the next patch. Unfortunately they are estimating 2-3 weeks before that is released. http://forums.ubi.com/showthread.php/658372-Weekly-forum-update-for-feb-1 |
![]() | Comment #101 by katloubee Thursday, February 02, 2012 @ 12:23:10 PM Gutted!! I can't believe I just got the 4 remaining books without looking for glitches *sob* |
![]() | Comment #102 by MAD ENTITY Thursday, February 02, 2012 @ 08:10:26 PM Does anyone know if you can have 90% of the books and then delete the patch, or does the patch have to be deleted before you get the? 1st one for the achievement to work? |
![]() | Comment #103 by Oceans4Ransom Thursday, February 02, 2012 @ 10:52:38 PM @#103- I recommend not buying any more books to be absolutely sure the achievement will unlock when the patch comes out. I only have the 4 from the "extra map" left to purchase because I'd rather wait than find out I bought too many for it to work for some reason. While I am being extremely cautious, it is just a suggestion. I would recommend also that you save up until the patch is released. I basically left my game on for a couple hours to get some ACR $ from the bank and then repeat. Happy Hunting! |
![]() | Comment #104 by McDevlin182 Friday, February 03, 2012 @ 01:41:07 PM If you read the posts on page 3 of the forum link that #101 provided....a UBISOFT forum moderator posts that once the new update is applied the achievement will pop up automatically after you load your saved game (if you have already acquired all of the books). |
![]() | Comment #105 by zombiclone Saturday, February 04, 2012 @ 03:05:49 PM One book bit that is really pissing me off is the one in the South Port area, where you have to climb up into the ship's crow's nest... I get to a certain point and then can't seem to climb any higher. Anyone got some tips please? |
![]() | Comment #106 by Zhou Tai of Wu Saturday, February 04, 2012 @ 03:27:20 PM @106, I may be wrong cause this is from memory but I believe you have to move around at the high point and start climbing the ropes on the side. |
![]() | Comment #107 by zombiclone Saturday, February 04, 2012 @ 04:02:53 PM Ah yes. Thanks, I had just figured the ropes were a no-go, but apparantly not! :) |
![]() | Comment #108 by stockracer88 Saturday, February 04, 2012 @ 07:53:41 PM Well I guess becuase I've only got the books in the other city to buy, I can just stockplie cash until the patch is released. HOORAYYY for procrastination!!!! |
![]() | Comment #109 by NickDynmo Sunday, February 05, 2012 @ 03:59:03 PM No more book missions showing on my minimap, all books bought in both Constantinpole and Cappadocia, still don't have the achievement. What gives? |
![]() | Comment #110 by razorblade713 Tuesday, February 07, 2012 @ 02:25:51 AM Just unlocked this one myself. Cleared the system cache and disconnected Xbox Live and played offline. Afterwards, I found my last 6 Polo books and bought my last 2 Cappadocia books and it unlocked right away. Gotta clear the cache and play offline BEFORE you buy/find your last book. At least until the Ubisoft gets their shit together with the patch issue. |
![]() | Comment #111 by scappa1986 Tuesday, February 07, 2012 @ 09:30:03 AM i just bought the last 4 books, no achievment, i had the same problem wit ac 2 with the painting 1 too, is there no way round it with out restarting the game, so feckin mad right now |
![]() | Comment #112 by T0T4L M1S3RY Friday, February 10, 2012 @ 10:41:46 PM Has anyone who has all the books tried clearing cache, going offline, and replaying the Cappadocia memory to rebuy the books? |
![]() | Comment #113 by ZekkouAkuma Sunday, February 12, 2012 @ 05:50:17 AM I have and it was a bust. Absolutely nothing worked. And I'm not in the mood to replay the entire game to recollect books. It's rather upsetting. So until a patch comes out to fix it... |
![]() | Comment #114 by SmashyFists Sunday, February 12, 2012 @ 11:39:19 AM I hate this glitch. One of three remaining achievements left for this game. Recently caught the Achievement Whore bug from a mate so really want to ace this game and move on. If anyone wants to help out on the other two I need 'Wild Rage' and 'The Spice of Life'. Welcome to add me (SmashyFists) to help boost them and I'll lend a hand with any you need. Cheers! |
![]() | Comment #115 by SmashyFists Sunday, February 12, 2012 @ 11:44:58 AM As an addendum, found the Ubisoft weekly update thread, shouldn't be too long until the fix...> http://forums.ubi.com/showthread.php/658372-Weekly-forum-update-for-feb-1 |
![]() | Comment #116 by xJonesMasterCx Wednesday, February 15, 2012 @ 02:12:12 PM So, I only needed the last 4 damn books in Cappadocia and realized from my friends the achievement was glitched. So, I did the same as I did with the "Craft Maniac" achievement and deleted the "Title Update" and proceeded to buy the last 4 books I needed while playing offline. And no fucking achievement. I am right pissed the fuck off. Now, I own every single book without the achievement and I even bought them qhile playing offline. Has anyone else had this problem? One of the last fucking achievements I need for 100% completion. |
![]() | Comment #117 by JeffMomm Thursday, February 16, 2012 @ 11:02:05 AM Good news all! Per the link below, the title update will be out next week with a fix to this achievement. They have previously posted that if you have all the books, as soon as you load your saved game, the achievement will pop! http://forums.ubi.com/showthread.php/659702-Weekly-Forum-Post-for-February-15th |
![]() | Comment #118 by Optimus Grizley Saturday, February 18, 2012 @ 09:27:13 PM I just got the achievement. Luckley I seen on a web site about this glitch before I bought all the books. All I did was delete the update and when I got to cappadocia I bought the last books and it Poped. If you already have them all try deleting the update then loading the game to see if it will unlock. If not then will obviously have to wait for update next week. |
![]() | Comment #119 by AjMadness27 Sunday, February 19, 2012 @ 03:52:25 AM ... so I'm one of millions waiting for that update... |
![]() | Comment #120 by Jimskeleton Monday, February 20, 2012 @ 07:29:48 AM Can't wait for this update to finally get here so i can get this damn achievement |
![]() | Comment #121 by Temesklk Monday, February 20, 2012 @ 09:56:17 AM Its nice that they fix that finally. (: |

![]() | Comment #123 by shortbubble Tuesday, February 21, 2012 @ 03:30:43 AM Patch is up just load your file |
![]() | Comment #124 by MrBigTDogg Tuesday, February 21, 2012 @ 08:34:48 AM I was also missing this achievement today the update came out I loaded my game, up popped the achievement. Its been an annoying couple of months waiting for this. |
![]() | Comment #125 by GoldenEagle1476 Tuesday, February 21, 2012 @ 02:22:38 PM Thank you Jesus! |
![]() | Comment #126 by Mrsilvid Wednesday, February 22, 2012 @ 01:21:26 PM Has the bug been fixed? :D |
![]() | Comment #127 by jedivalkyrie Wednesday, February 22, 2012 @ 07:24:33 PM Yes, it's fixed. Just bought the last book today and it popped open....... |
![]() | Comment #128 by T0T4L M1S3RY Friday, February 24, 2012 @ 12:11:14 PM Interesting... it gave me the achievement in the Animus loading screen. That was unexpected. |
![]() | Comment #129 by morajr13 Sunday, February 26, 2012 @ 05:13:29 PM If you have already collected all the books and the achievement never popped, then after downloading the new update, load the game save where you have all the books and the achievement should unlock in the Animus loading screen as stated by T0T4L M1S3RY. |
![]() | Comment #130 by NowIGottaWetCha Wednesday, February 29, 2012 @ 06:43:46 PM as of today, the problem is fixed. i got the achievement after loading my single player game. figured i would try it since the new dlc for the game came out. i also hadn't downloaded the new dlc yet, so i doesn't seem that u need to buy it to have it unlock for u. |
![]() | Comment #131 by MetallicaDan Saturday, March 31, 2012 @ 05:37:12 PM Sage showed up for me today, but not until I took the boat back to the main area (Galata District) from Cappadocia. |
![]() | Comment #132 by ChaosHellion Sunday, April 01, 2012 @ 04:17:28 AM Is whining all people know how to do? I saw a couple people explain how to bypass this problem about halfway through the comments (and thanks to them I know have my achievement) and the proceeded further down the list to people still complaining about their problems. If people would take a minute to stop and read someone's helpful comment, they'd avoid posting a stupid "I still can't get this achievement , Ubisoft sucks, FML, wah wah wah!" comment. |
![]() | Comment #133 by I9 MiTcH 95 Tuesday, April 03, 2012 @ 08:40:56 AM Got this achievement earlier. I found the best way to get it was make sure the assassins control all of the dens and then renovate every building i.e. doctors, blacksmith, tailor etc. until you have done them all. Then once you renovate all of them you will have a large amount of income every 20 minutes. Then i just left my xbox on all night and i could get up to 120000 coins every 3 or so hours. You can either choose to set an alarm and then go back to sleep or you can just repeat the process later. Then once you have enough just go buy all the books. Simples! |
![]() | Comment #134 by ttdrevan Saturday, April 07, 2012 @ 07:23:13 AM It is unlocking in loding screen, so don't worry if you don't get it right away when you buy books. |
![]() | Comment #135 by BrothexMaster Sunday, April 15, 2012 @ 05:39:00 PM I have all the books but three, but they cost over 40k each! But I will not give up |
![]() | Comment #136 by koolkong94 Friday, April 20, 2012 @ 09:06:51 AM Wow. I thought this was still bugged for a while there. Went and bought all the Cappadocia books (already had Constantinople and Book Quests) and it didn't pop. Did some research, gave up, went back to check Constantinople book stores and it popped on the loading screen after I got on the boat. |
![]() | Comment #137 by zstuder25 Sunday, April 22, 2012 @ 09:02:31 PM more of a pain in the ass than i though it would be |
![]() | Comment #138 by Punkfish85 Tuesday, April 24, 2012 @ 04:57:08 PM Where are you looking to see how many books you have or if you have all of them? Is it in the DNA menu, or in the Assassins library? |
![]() | Comment #139 by Plassie Friday, April 27, 2012 @ 05:43:20 AM #139 In the Assassins library Same room where the 5 Masyaf keys are |
![]() | Comment #140 by Cha0ticSuperman Wednesday, May 09, 2012 @ 05:22:38 AM So happy they fixed this glitch |
![]() | Comment #141 by LeeJ2512 Wednesday, June 13, 2012 @ 08:29:29 PM Thought it was glitched for me, turned out I still have 3 books to get in Cappadocia, they are fuckin expensive... |
![]() | Comment #142 by Pricey Ham Tuesday, June 19, 2012 @ 02:29:49 PM Thanks Ubisoft for fixing this! |
![]() | Comment #143 by blinksmilewink Tuesday, June 26, 2012 @ 03:41:06 PM This is such a fucking stupid achievement. |
![]() | Comment #144 by lawdog1037 Monday, July 09, 2012 @ 10:08:29 PM Finally! I've been playing Red Dead for the last few months and popped in AC Rev today. SAGE achievement popped on as soon as it loaded! Thanks for fixing it--FINALLY! |
![]() | Comment #145 by Ditto Kirby Friday, July 27, 2012 @ 01:35:49 PM I got them all even though i didnt have all the book stores unlocked |
![]() | Comment #146 by D M Avenger88 Thursday, August 09, 2012 @ 10:09:27 AM Anyone know if the achievement will ping after the update or not, because I already have all the books, and the achievement still hasn't registered!?! |
![]() | Comment #147 by CaptMorgan MVRP Thursday, August 16, 2012 @ 07:16:33 AM Can anyone confirm the fix? I only have the books in cassiodocia left to buy and I'm not starting a new game.... |
![]() | Comment #148 by PandaGamer999 Friday, September 07, 2012 @ 05:09:26 AM I have only played the game with the update installed, and the store clerk in Cappdocia is still there after you complete sequence 7. The Sage achievement didn't pop when I bought the last book. Instead, I got it when I quit to the main menu. I don't remember any of the other Assassin's Creed games being this buggy (achievements, challenges, 100% sync conditions)... |
![]() | Comment #149 by thisispreston Wednesday, September 12, 2012 @ 09:43:09 AM yeh same here, i just took the boat back to Cappadocia and the book seller was there.... sadly i was 6000 short of affording all four... annoying! |
![]() | Comment #150 by jaymie111 Wednesday, September 19, 2012 @ 03:47:08 PM This is such a crap achievement takes so long to get that much money. If anyone is trying to do it i found abit of a quicker way along with waiting for bank deposits if you hire thieves (and have the fast hands thief perk thing) go to a busyish street i went to the grand bazaar and went to a narrowish corridor with some crates blocking the sides and you'll get a lot of money just standing there too the occasional rob around 900A but mostly between 10-30A. |
![]() | Comment #151 by AustinH Monday, September 24, 2012 @ 04:20:15 AM I just put in this game to try to get 'Tax Evasion' (yes I shill havent got it after 21 hours) and I had to update my game and when it finished and started to load up my save I got i, after already buying all the books along time ago and not getting it. YAY! |
![]() | Comment #152 by boltsinxli Monday, October 01, 2012 @ 12:32:49 PM I bought the very last book, no achievement. So I quit to dashboard, opened the tray, closed it again and as soon as the game loaded, it popped. |
![]() | Comment #153 by LethalCajun Tuesday, October 02, 2012 @ 08:07:16 PM @ #152 Done the same thing as you did and the achievement popped up soon as I hit quit. |
![]() | Comment #154 by rafa1000house Wednesday, November 21, 2012 @ 09:01:19 AM expensive books... fortunately i didnt spend money on weapons this time since i got a secret sword but i am renewing doctors, blacksmiths and other stores |
![]() | Comment #155 by ArtistikMuzik Wednesday, December 19, 2012 @ 10:58:26 AM #152 i love u for that! it worked for me too |
![]() | Comment #156 by IFC3000 Sunday, January 20, 2013 @ 02:29:15 PM @#152 thank you it worked!!! |
![]() | Comment #157 by Schismfist Sunday, March 03, 2013 @ 02:33:39 PM Very time consuming, as you finish the game well before having enough money for this! Would be nice of UBISOFT to actually give you something for each book you buy, text, back story etc |
![]() | Comment #158 by V1ZIONZxBLOOD Saturday, March 09, 2013 @ 09:20:36 PM Thanks #152 that worked for me. |
![]() | Comment #159 by Far2crazy Thursday, March 14, 2013 @ 06:56:19 AM Renovated the entire of Constantinople, bought all upgrades and have as many master assassins as possible, but getting only about 33k every 20mins as deposit is a joke, going to take forever of just waiting there, just wanna go onto assassins creed 3 now. Glad to hear the bugs are patched though. |
![]() | Comment #160 by HKTR2 Sunday, April 07, 2013 @ 01:16:15 PM I bought all of them and nothing happened, so I went back to the island (where Desmond is) and the achievement popped. |
![]() | Comment #161 by Skunkfoot Sunday, May 12, 2013 @ 11:14:47 AM Already had all the books and never got the achievement, so I deleted the title update and loaded the game and did a bunch of stuff and nothing happened, so then I quit out to dashboard and started the game again. After reinstalling the title update and loading my saved game, the achievement popped. So if you already had all the books AND the title update installed before they fixed it, it looks like you should delete the title update and reinstall it. That worked for me anyway. |
![]() | Comment #162 by Dinin Tuesday, May 14, 2013 @ 05:27:08 PM Just did the same as #160 - Bought the last 4 books from Cappadoccia and nothing. Quit back to Animus Island and the Achievement popped during the loading screen. Happy days! |
