i just found out. it does not matter what barrel you have on the gun. i bad the 3rd barrel on the gun and it gave me the achievement. |

This one is pretty easy. Just make sure the last shot is to the head of with the pimped .44 model 29 handgun. And no it doesn't matter what barrel you have on it. As long as its pimped. |

If you do it in Co-op, do both players get the achievement, or do you have to do it once for each person? |

only one person can get this at a time. so whoever is not going for it try to keep everyone else off their back once Dalton's health is down to one bar. I was knocked down by Dalton but the other guy was drawing so much attention I was able to get the head shot and the achievement from my "sitting/wounded" position. also of note if by chance only one player has the gun remember you can switch weapons by holding RB+ D-pad right and I can confirm that my partner was able to get this without buying and pimping his own gun. after i got it i would "swap" him my pimped handgun and he was able to get the achievement from there.

Ha, I got this as well when working on beating Mission 8 on Professional. I snuck around the area very carefully while Salem was on stand-aggro, and Dalton turned his back to me and I pumped him full of the .44 until I got a nice clean head-shot to get both Mission 8's Professional Achievement and this Achievement.
But I never want to use that crappy .44 again. It has terrible accuracy and I had reloaded like twice before I got the last shot on Dalton. Anything could have happened at that moment. He could have moved; shot at me; an enemy could have shot at me; or basically anything! I got lucky with him just sitting there and shooting at Salem. I hid behind one of those little stair case rail things and killed him out of the corner. This Achievement for sure got my heart racing!

How do you even get this? Dalton is the guy in the helicopter at the end where it's a cut scene and Rios blows up the helicopter? |
