Introduction:
AFL Live 2 is the second AFL Game released by Tru Blu, this time with a huge amount of teams, players and competitions. Including a 15 year career mode involving the tribunal, money handling and training your players.
I also return with my second AFL Live guide. Please enjoy and I hope it aids you in getting plenty of gamerscore from Australia's favourite sport.

Step 1: Learning the new Controls.
If you’ve played the previous AFL Game you’ll notice a massive difference in the button layout, so a Single Match might be in order. Set the game to a low difficulty so it is easier to learn and have fun with the improved gameplay. You should be able to pick up Kicked the Six Pack, Aerial Display and based on how long you set the quarter length, Bonecrunching Display. Wicked Win is also achievable based on how quickly you learn the controls.

Step 2: Career Mode
Upon selecting Career mode, you’ll be put into the Player Creator menu, which will provide you with New Face. When you choose the players team colors, it’s a good idea to coach that same team, so you can have more control over All Star Superman. You can simulate the games as much as you want in Career mode and you won’t threaten any achievements, but you should also keep an eye on your games for achievements like Triple Threat, Flawless Victory and all the ‘Medal’ achievements.
Once you’ve grabbed all of the Career mode achievements, other than Long Hard Road and Going the Distance, you can switch the game to hard in the ‘Manager Setting’ tab from the Career menu. This will get you both of the remaining Career achievements.

Step 3: The Other Leagues
After completing your career mode, it’s time to complete the other leagues you didn’t complete in your first career. Two of which, are the International Cup and the NAB U/18 Cup, both of which can’t be played in career. Both are rather short, so they won’t take you long. The other two are the TAC Cup and the VFL. Both of these will only take one year of career, provided you earn their version of the Coleman Medal and Brownlow Medal.

Step 4: Mop Up
After you’ve done all the competitions, you may have a few, minor achievements left. Like Out of Your League and the 3 online achievements. Just grab yourself a boosting partner from the Achievement Trading Thread and finish them off.

Conclusion
After playing through a rather time consuming game, you will have earned yourself Footy Fanatic, which indicates that you have earned all of the achievements and a relatively easy 100%

Congratulations!!

[x360a would like to thank Vwerdiir for this Roadmap]

There are 35 achievements with a total of 1000 points

  • Create a Custom Player in AFL Live 2.

Upon starting career mode, you will have to create a player. Once you’ve finished, this will unlock.
I will suggest making the player as young as possible and making them a Full Forward. This will help with ‘Ton of Fun,’ ‘Ron Evans Medal Ace,’ and the goal kicking/best and fairest achievements for the league you’re playing in. (TAC Cup, VFL or AFL)

  • Player kicks six or more goals in one match of AFL Live 2.

You should get this in the first match you play. Just kick 6 goals with a single player.

  • Player takes 3 or more marks inside the attacking 50m line during one match of AFL Live 2.

This is another one that you can earn in your first match. Using the same player, take 3 makes inside your forward 50.

  • Perform 10 tackles in a game of AFL Live 2.

This is easiest to achieve in a match with 10 minute quarters. You have to tackle the opposition with a player you control. The CPU can’t do it for you.

  • After a draw, play through overtime to get a result in AFL Live 2.

This can be done in either Competition of Career. In the finals of a League, play the match and have it end in a draw, you will then go into 2 halves of overtime. Win the match from here and it’ll pop after the match.
This can also be done in a single match from the main menu.

  • Win by more than 100 points in AFL Live 2. Unlocks Tru Blu Team.

Playing on the easiest difficulty, just win by 100. If you’re having trouble with the amount of time you have, just increase the quarter length. You shouldn’t need more than 10 minute quarters

  • Win a single player match against a higher league team than you in AFL Live 2.

Go into Single Match and pick a team from the VFL, then, pick an AFL team as the opposition. Win it from there and it’s yours.

  • Finish a season in career mode with a majority of games won in AFL Live 2.

    See ‘Flawless Victory’

  • Finish a career season without losing in AFL Live 2. Unlocks Tom Harley All Stars Team.

During the career mode, don’t lose a single match, including Finals. This may require you to play all the matches, but if wish to simulate, you can always return to the dashboard straight after the match results screen pops up.

  • End a season with a player kicking 100+ goals in AFL Live 2. Unlocks DC Legends Team.

Finish a season of competition or career with more than 100+ goals.
On an easy difficulty you’ll be able to get than enough goals with your Full Forward. This will also get the goal kicking achievement, depending on the league you’re in. (TAC, VFL or AFL)

  • Win the NAB U/18 Cup in AFL Live 2. Unlocks Williamstown Stadium.

In the main menu, goto Competition-NAB U/18 Cup.
Pick a team, win the 5 games and then get achievements.

  • Win the NAB Cup in any mode in AFL Live 2.

In career mode, coach any team from the AFL and you’ll start at the NAB Cup, win all 5 of the games and you’ll get the achievement.

    See ‘Best of the Best’

  • Win the VFL Premiership in AFL Live 2. Unlocks Heritage Guernseys.

    See ‘Best of the Best’

  • Win the AFL Premiership in AFL Live 2. Unlocks Bendigo Stadium.

In either Competition or Career, win the Grand Final of the league.

  • Win the AFL Premiership 3 times during in a single career in AFL Live 2.

    See “Triple Threat”

  • Win 3 AFL Premierships in a row in AFL Live 2. Unlocks Whitehorse Stadium.

In Career mode, playing on the easiest difficulty, and while coaching a team from the AFL, win the Premiership the first 3 years on career mode.
You can simulate the games and it won’t void the achievement. However, if you simulate, you have the chance to lose. If you do, exit to the dashboard from the results screen and you’ll get the chance to replay the match.

  • Complete career mode in AFL Live 2.

    See ‘Long Hard Road’

  • Complete career mode on hard or above manager difficulty in AFL Live 2.

Playing through the Career mode may seem like it will take a long time, but using the simulation option, it will be sped up greatly. The years start at 2013 and end with 2027. (this might change with future updates)
It’s a good idea to pay close attention to your first 3 years, so that you can win 3 premierships in a row. It might also be a good idea to play through one entire season to earn the Brownlow and Coleman medals. Have a rookie in Full Forward so that you get the Rising Star achievement and also, win all your games for the entire season, so that you don’t have to do that again.
At the end of each season, you can renew player contracts, trade with other clubs and pick up rookie players from the draft. When it comes to the contracts, it’s best to renew all of your best players contracts. You can renew all players if you wish to. Sadly, older players will retire and you won’t be able to convince them otherwise. If you want to keep them around for a long time, offer them a 5 year contract when they are 31 years of age and they won’t retire until the end of that contract. To get the best players from other teams, in ‘Staff’ increase your Scout to rank 10. This will help you get info on which players wish to leave their club. It will take some getting used to, but once you’ve figured out the trading, you’ll be able to get the greatest players in the league, giving you a team to be feared! In the national draft, you get to pick from any delisted players or rookies for that year. To get the best ones, look at the players Rating and Potential, if either of those are 85+, recruit them!

Once all needed Career achievements are done, in the ‘Manager Settings’ tab, switch both ‘Gameplay’ and ‘Finance’ difficulties to hard and play out the rest of the career. This will get you both achievements for completing Career mode.

  • Top goal scorer in a TAC season with a player on your team in AFL Live 2.

    See “Coleman Medal Superstar”

  • Top goal scorer in VFL season with a player on your team in AFL Live 2.

    See “Coleman Medal Superstar”

  • One of your players wins the JJ Liston Medal in a VFL season in AFL Live 2.

    See “Brownlow Medal Legend”

  • One of your players wins the Morrish Medal in the TAC Cup in AFL Live 2.

    See “Brownlow Medal Legend”

  • Finish top of the table in the AFL at the end of the regular season in AFL Live 2.

Finish on the top of the ladder at the end of the AFL Premiership season in either Competition or Career.

  • One of your players wins the Brownlow Medal in AFL Live 2. Unlocks All Stars Team.

The best way to ensure that you’ll get this is to kick a lot of goals with your Full Forward. After the match, you can press to check the ‘Man of the Match.’ The 3 names here are how the points will be distributed for the medal. If your Full Forward is there after each game, you’ll be pretty safe to get it.

You don’t need to worry about your star player being suspended, as this won’t void you getting the medal, unlike in the actual sport. This also applies to all other ‘Medal’ specific achievements like Ron Evans Medal Ace, Morrish Medal Winner, etc.

It seems that you can only earn this and the other medals like it in Career mode.

  • One of your players wins the Coleman Medal in AFL Live 2. Unlocks Victorian Team.

Again, the Full Forward has the best chance to get this. Pretty much the same method as ‘Ton of Fun’

It seems that you can only earn this and the other medals like it in Career mode.

  • One of your players wins the Norm Smith Medal in AFL Live 2. Unlocks TIO Stadium.

In either Competition or Career, have a player from your team get the man of the match in the Grand Final of the AFL Premiership Season. Kicking a lot of goals with your Full Forward is the way to go.

  • One of your players wins the NAB Rising Star in AFL Live 2.

This is only eligible to Players under 21 before January 1 of the year your currently playing in. If the player you created is under 21, you should get this without trouble. Otherwise, find a young player and put them in Full Forward.

  • Reach average stats of 95 on your career player in AFL Live 2.

In Career, Use the Training option from the Manage Team tab. Then, you can either handle your player yourself, or train everyone at once by pressing
If you want to gain XP quickly, go into Office-Staff and select the trainer for the position your player plays and put the level to max (10). This will grant a bonus of 450 XP.
When you wish to get this Achievement, you will have to do it in an AFL Career Mode. The other leagues don't provide enough XP to get you to 95.

  • Read all of the Game Credits in AFL Live 2. Unlocks Big Head Mode.

This can be the first achievement in the game. After loading the game, go to credits from the main menu and let them scroll though. It will only take 2-3 minutes to scroll through all of them, so feel free to walk away for a little bit.

  • Win an online game in AFL Live 2.

You can boost this with a partner from the Achievement Trading Thread in a private match. Just win the match and it’s all yours.
This can also be combined with ‘A Win Is A Win’ and ‘The Numbers Game.’ Just do as those to suggest and you’ll get them easily.
Both are very achievable in 2.5 minute quarters.

NOTE: The Numbers Game is very specific, be sure not to go over the totals needed. If you’re afraid of going over, just have your partner start scoring until you finish the game.

  • Win an online game with more behinds than goals in AFL Live 2.

See ‘They Are Playing Your Song’

  • Win an online game with exactly 20 goals and 13 behinds in AFL Live 2.

See ‘They Are Playing Your Song’

  • Complete all other achievements in AFL Live 2.

This will unlock after you’ve got every other achievement in the game.

    Congrats on 100%
