Halo 3 TU2 Extra 750GS Achievement Guide

Vidmaster Challenge: 7 on 7 - 0G
Enter into any ranked or social playlist with 7 EXP on the 7th of the month.
For this you have to make sure you don't have more then 7 exp in a playlist. On the 7th of any month, go into the playlist you have 7 exp on and this will unlock. If you have less then 7, just win a match (or more) and once you gain the 7th exp the achievement will unlock.



Vidmaster Challenge: Lightswitch - 0G
Get to the rank of Lieutenant in any playlist in the new EXP progression system.
Just get 50 exp in any playlist, and this will unlock. The new exp progression system does not require that you have a set TrueSkill number to advance. The playlist rank only relies on exp and exp alone. Easiest done in a double exp hopper as you have half the games you need to play.



Vidmaster Challenge: Brainpan - 25G
Find all the hidden skulls on the Mythic maps.
You need to find all six skulls on the two mythic map packs (one can be downloaded from the marketplace - titled Mythic Map Pack and the other can only be found on the Halo 3: Mythic disk that comes with ODST). The achievement will unlock after you find the sixth one.

Tank Dropper - 25G
On any Mythic map, get a kill on another player while in monitor mode.
While in Forge, go into monitor mode and spawn any vehicle. Get another player to stand still (preferably) and swing the vehicle from side to side at his position until you splatter him/her.



Zombie Repeller - 25G
On a Mythic map, kill 2 Zombies during any ranked or social match.
In an Infection match, kill two zombies. Easiest done on the Braaaains gametype, as zombies have no shields, making it one hit kill with the shotgun or two bullets with the Magnum.



Delicious Brains - 25G
On a Mythic map, infect 2 humans during any ranked or social match.
Like Zombie Repeller, just the opposite. You have to be the zombie in an Infection match and kill two humans (the non-infected players). Try and get active camo, as it will make it a lot harder for humans to detect you.



Save This Film - 25G
On a Mythic map, get a Perfection medal during any ranked or social match.
The Perfection medal is awarded for winning a slayer game by more than 15 kills without dying or betraying someone. This should be boosted by a party as it is quite hard to get in ranked or competitive social. Try to stay back and let your teammates do the work, and occasionally popping out to finish off someone else's kill.



Have Fun Respawning - 25G
On a Mythic map, get an Extermination during any ranked or social match.
The Extermination medal is awarded for wiping out the entire team with at least an Overkill. Very easy to do on Grifball, as multikills and exterminations are extremely easy to achieve.


Killtacular - 25G
On a Mythic map, get a Killtacular during any ranked or social match.
The Killtacular medal is one step further when compared to the Overkill achievement. This requires that you get 5 kills in any match. However, this is substantially easier than Overkill because it CAN be done in social matches. Should be done in Grifball. Your opponents have a respawn time of three seconds instead of four, so you can spawncamp them and the kills will count torwards your multikill.



Awww, Too Bad - 25G
On a Mythic map, get a Killjoy medal during any ranked or social match.
One of the easier achievements to get. Just randomly kill people and at some stage in the match someone will have a killing spree.



… Get the Horns - 25G
On a Mythic map, get a Bulltrue medal during any ranked or social match.
To get this, you have to kill another player who is in the middle of a sword lunge. You should use the shotgun and melee combo against a player.



Post Mortem - 25G
On Orbital, get 2 Death From the Grave medals during any ranked or social match.
Get in the habit of throwing grenades. Lots of them! You have to kill someone after your dead. Another way of getting this without using grenades is by using a weapon that travels slowly or over a long distance (such as the rocket launcher of needler). With some luck, you should get this in no time. Plasma grenade stickies just before death are a very easy way to get this, but note that sometimes they won't count as Death from the Grave kills.



Ghost Patrol - 25G
On Longshore, get 3 kills with a Ghost during any ranked or social match.
Splatter or use the plasma weapon on the ghost and kill three people. This should be very easy if you know the basics of how to shoot and drive. Must be done on Longshore (Mythic Map Pack). If you are playing a two sided objective game, there will be two ghosts next to each base. If you are only playing 1 Bomb or 1 Flag, then there will be a ghost next to the attackers base.



Blades of Fury - 25G
On Heretic, get a Sword Spree during any ranked or social match.
You need to kill five players with the sword IN A ROW. The sword is located on the floating platform on the top of the map. (Mythic Map Pack).



Pull - 25G
On Citadel, get a Shotgun Spree during any ranked or social match.
Like Blades of Fury, you need to get a killing spree... with a shotgun. The shotgun is located on the blue side of the map against the tunnel that leads up behind the base. Must be done on Citadel (Mythic Map Pack).

Hammer Time - 25G
On Assembly, get 5 Hammer kills during any ranked or social match.
Get five kills with the gravity hammer. Unlike the above two achievements, it DOES NOT have to be a spree. Must be done on Assembly (Mythic Map Pack).



Look Both Ways - 25G
On a Legendary map, get a Splatter Spree during any ranked or social match.
Use any fast vehicle (preferable NOT a mongoose) and look for people to splatter! If the vehicle has a boost addition, use it just before hitting a player. You need to get five such kills in a row. Can be done on a Mythic map.



Road Rage - 25G
On a Legendary map, get 5 Warthog chaingun kills during any ranked or social match.
Have a teammate drive the warthog and you on the mounted turret. Get five kills (they do not have to be in a row). Make sure it is not a Gauss warthog! Can be done on a Mythic map.



Flag Dropped - 25G
On a Legendary map, get 2 flag carrier kills during any ranked or social match.
All you need to do is play a CTF match and kill two players who are carrying the flag. The player who has the flag has a big shiny round blue arrow on their heads, making your task all the much easier... Can be done on a Mythic map.



Defend This - 50G
On a Legendary map, get a flag melee kill during any ranked or social match.
While playing a CTF match, grab the flag and attempt to kill someone with the flag. This can be made easier if you assassinate someome, as sometimes frontal flag melees won't kill. Can be done on a Mythic map.





Came… From… Behind - 50G
On a Legendary map, get 3 assassinations during any ranked or social match.
You need to get three assassinations in any match. Can be made easier with active camo. Can be done on a Mythic map.

Alas, Poor Yorick - 25G
On a Legendary map, get 3 Oddball melee kills during any ranked or social match.
If you find an Oddball match, chances are you will get at least three melee kills with the oddball. The ball kills are varied. Sometimes they are instant and sometimes it takes more than two hits. This is unexplored as yet, but it may matter where you hit the player. Can be done on a Mythic map.

Double Double - 25G
On a Legendary map, get two Double Kills during any ranked or social match.
Kill two people in four seconds of each other two times! Tongue twister much? Try using a power weapon (rocket launcher, spartan laser, etc) if you are having trouble with this. Can be done on a Mythic map.

Vidmaster Challenge: Annual - 0G
After 9/25/08, complete Halo on 4-player Legendary LIVE co-op, with Iron, and everyone in Ghosts.
You need 4 players to get this achievement and must be done on Legendary with the Iron skull. You have to start from the start of the level, not from Rally Point Alpha as the ghosts will not be there. Be warned that if even one of the members of your team dies, the whole team is transported back to the checkpoint. You're whole team must be in ghosts at the very end (when you jump the gap into the frigate). For more information on where the ghosts are and other stuff, go HERE. Some Extra Information:

• The Mythic Maps are: Orbital, Longshore, Heretic, Citadel, Sandbox and Assembly.
• The Legendary Maps are: Ghost Town, Avalanche and Blackout.
• None of these achievements can be gained on Heroic Maps, Release Maps or Cold Storage.

According to the latest news post on Bungie it does not even look like you can sit on 7EXP and get the achievement.

You will have to be on 6 if you plan on waiting for the 7th day.

Great Job on the guide though

You will get this achievement once you hit 7 EXP in any single playlist on the 7th of the month. For example, you could have 5 EXP in Team Slayer and then on 10/7 go in and win 2 more games, hitting a total of 7 EXP and unlocking the achievement. If you already have 7 EXP or greater in a playlist before the 7th of the month, you won’t be able to earn the achievement in that playlist.

I think (not positive) that Griffball is always played on a forged version of Foundry, so it won't work for this one.

Wrong, first we got this done on the 22nd, and second in a 4 player coop game dying with the iron skull makes it so that if one person dies, the entire squad is reset to the last checkpoint.

You don't have to wait until after 9/25 to get the Vidmaster: Annual - Bungie decided to make it live with the TU2 in order to be fair because the 25th happens at different times around the world.

Very nice guide and for the most part its pretty clear to understand. My only suggestion would be is for the Legendary map achievements, just add "must be done on Avalanche, Blackout or Ghost town. Its pretty obvious to must of us what the Legendary maps are but i can't tell you how many people playing halo 3 right now seem to wrongly think the heroic maps or cold storage count, when they don't.

Try going on dlc big team. Get 15 kills on a warthog (make sure you have a good driver) or a banshee. if the other team is pretty bad you can get 15 kills and hide for the rest of the game. Or you can always try dlc ffa or something, but it'll be much harder. MUST BE DONE ON SLAYER.




Have Fun Respawning - 25G
On a Mythic map, get an Extermination during any ranked or social match.
The Extermination medal is awarded for wiping out the entire team with at least an Overkill. This should be done with a boosting party in a team game of 4vs4 or more.

Hard medal. Good look getting this legit but there's a catch. Try doing this in SWAT. Much much easier. Or even easier, SWAT objective. Normal objective works also. Try getting in some good grenades and BR or some good rockets. They all have to be dead at the same time.




Killtacular - 25G
On a Mythic map, get a Killtacular during any ranked or social match.
The Killtacular medal is one step further when compared to the Overkill acheivement. This requires that you get 5 kills in any match. However, this is substantially easier than Overkill because it CAN be done in social matches.

Again, SWAT would be the easiest. Slayer SWAT would be preferred rather than objective SWAT this time because your gonna have to kill at least one guy twice. Non SWAT wise try dlc ffa with some good grenades and BR or like I said before some good rockets.







… Get the Horns - 25G
On a Mythic map, get a Bulltrue medal during any ranked or social match.
To get this, you have to kill another player who is in the middle of a sword lunge. You should use a 1 hit kill weapon (such as the sniper) to achieve this.

Easiest with a shotgun or in infection (dlc ffa) zombies have no shields and they dont have to be lunging at you either.




Ghost Patrol - 25G
On Longshore, get 3 kills with a Ghost during any ranked or social match.
Splatter or use the plasma weapon on the ghost and kill three people. This should be very easy if you know the basics of how to shoot and drive. Must be done on Longshore (Mythic Map Pack).

Alot of people drop flag and pick up repeatedly to get the flag farther and faster. Make sure you kill him when he has the flag IN HIS HANDS.

While playing a CTF match, grab the flag and attempt to kill someone with the flag. This can be made easier if you assassinate someome, as sometimes frontal flag melees won't kill. Must be done on a Legendary Map.

Try to camp with flag if your desperate. Sure, you'll piss off your teammates but hey, you gotta do what you gotta do.






Came… From… Behind - 50G
On a Legendary map, get 3 assassinations during any ranked or social match.
You need to get three assassinations in any match. Can be made easier with active camo. Must be done on a Legendary Map.

Common sense but for the noobies, an assassionation has to be hit from behind the back. Try crouching

If you find an Oddball match, chances are you will get at least three melee kills with the oddball. The ball is instant kill, so just camp in a bubble shield or in a corner and catch three players in the face with the ball.

Try stealing kills in ffa as well with a good BR and grenades.

Just wondering, why would you use a Sniper Rifle to get the bulltrue achievement? Look, I know it's possible but I think that 80% of people won't be able to achieve a noscope in that frame of time. Why not just use a shotgun?

Also, for the infection achievements, most game types (the most common is "save one bullet") have shotgun starts and no other weapons on the whole map. So the advice to use a Sniper rifle is kinda weird...

The perfection isn't so hard as you make it out. It is entirely possible in a team slayer game. Your team just has to win by 15 kills and you must not die. This is easiest on a team snipers game, where you simply hide and take potshots every now and again.

For flag kills they are instant kills (at least in my experience). No need to go for a tricky assasination

"Post mortem" achievement, you can also use a needler, and is very effective at getting this type of achievement.

One last thing, the flag holder DOES NOT have a big indicator above his head in most CTF games, his only location indicator will appear if he flag juggles

Those are just some things that I think could be updated
