PC verses 360 version
if your trying to decide which version to get your only real deciding factor is whether or not your PC ran run it pretty much.
The PC version is Games For Windows LIVE meaning it has all the same achievements as the 360 version. And the DLC for the 360 version will also be coming to the PC via Games For Windows Marketplace. just figured i'd let you guys know in case anyone still thinks the PC version does not have achievements. |

If you have top of the line PC, the PC version will look better than the 360 version.
If not, get the 360 version.

Well since we don't know the specs it's hard to say how much of a high end PC you'll need. But looking at oblivion, probably pretty high.

But they are making it playable on lower scale-highend machines. Official Word: "“The goal is that it’s similar to what Oblivion was for its time,” he said. “So, it’s not Crysis but it’s not solitary, and hopefully it’s as scalable as possible. So if you’ve got a ****-hot machine and you’ve got all the latest video cards, and whatnot, then it’ll look amazing, but if you’ve got a standard gaming rig then it still runs good.” The Current Specs for Fallout 3 are as follows [Have stated they may be a bit higher] Recommended: 3 Ghz Intel Pentium 4 or equivalent processor 1 GB System RAM ATI X800 series, Nvidia GeForce 6800 series, or higher video card Minimum: Windows XP / Vista 512MB System RAM 2 Ghz Intel Pentium 4 or equivalent processor 128MB Direct3D compatible video card and DirectX 9.0 compatible driver; 8x DVD-ROM drive 5 GB free hard disk space DirectX 9.0c (included) DirectX 8.1 compatible sound card

well i'm fine since i'm a PC gamer and i can play crysis on max but still those specs aren't that bad. most people with a newer computer will be able to choose. i say PC personally. Mouse+Keyboard > Gamepad IMO.

My PC is shot to shit anyhow, Really cant be bothered to repair it yet. It has some cheap arse Raedeon in it. So... No fallout 3 on PC for me. Besides, I can get achievements and blurt crap with my mates on xbl on the 360. Way better.

I havent updated my PC since the early days of WoW... and sadly there isnt many games coming out for it for me to update it...
I'm gonna stick with 360 since when you've paid for the system, no upgrades are needed. But sure, PC version on highest settings is gonna look awesome i bet... especially when connected to a huge LCD tv

This is a reason I like the console version over the PC version. At least when i play the xbox360 version that my game play is standard and it isn't like, "Oh well your computer sucks...hence it's slow...hence it's ugly...hence it sucks..blah blah" atleast if i have problems with it on 360 it's the games fault or something else.

It varies on the type of game being played, would you not agree? Racing and fighting games are generally better on a gamepad, whereas RTS and to a lesser degree, FPS, are easier with a mouse and keyboard.

For me i've been a PC gamer since i played MYST if anyone even remembers that anymore so for me keyboard/mouse is better for just about everything for me. Racing/FPS i'm great with on a keyboard. put me on a gamepad and i suck worse than if a monkey played the game lol. With fallout. looking at oblivion i can just tell that in this game keyboard and mouse will help a lot in making things go faster. And the one thing that always makes PC versions better is mods. I just hope that they release a kit for Fallout like they did with Oblivion. |
