I can confirm that playing over 100 hours DOES NOT unlock anything. I was 88+ on my last save so I let the timer run to find out. I have quit playing for awhile until the guide comes out to make sure I don't have anymore playthroughs than needed.

it isnt the maps, ive uncovered 100% of the maps of every area ive been to my first save file.

so unless im missing like one remote square somewere, it isnt the maps.

I agree with you Korix. It probably something similar to the Bad Influence meaning something people wouldn't think about doing.

The map idea is really only because a few tri-ace games before have had rewards for completing maps. SO3 for example, you would get a special accessory when you got 100% map completion for a certain area. Note that there was a % on the map itself showing your completion rate.

Since there is no indicator as to how much of the map you have covered along with the multiple areas you can only access once, I highly doubt this is the last secret achievement.

So far all of them have had something to do with something that happened during the course of the main game. Like the vermiform one, we were told in-game that bad things happen when you let your characters transform, you could say this achievement is just another version of the "Infinitely Unobservant" one.

die 1000, times, use 1000 items,

Beating the ethereal queen on infinity is easy ive done it twice now as for the last 30g i think it could be based on the sub party ranks or the situation bonuses

im sticking with the "negative" achievement theory, situation and maps just seem way off. Maybe one like in blue dragon för escaping encounters tons of times. There are 2 of them in this game, a third seems logical for some reason! Dont ask me why!!

You all say beating the Ethereal queen as if its easy I just got my ass handed to me on a plate by her. It was on normal difficulty and my party were all 175+. Strategies? I suppose i could try playing that notation that nullifies magic as thats how she mainly attacks.....wish id thought of it then..

make memories of a mercenary and boost your hp up like crazy,

35000 hp + memories of a mercenary = 3500 HP on to your max hp, get about 10 of em and boost capell and your healer up. I didnt beat her on normal because its a waste of time but when i fought her at level 134 i lost because of low health.

Also, i dont know if it works but if you can get some kind of abosorb fire armor or something i think that would solve alot of your problems.

And HP absorb attack helps too (edward has a sword that can do that)

I had trouble with her, but then I got angry and decided, hey time to ditch the bitch

So i boosted up my HP on me and edward. Made Hydra armor for both (anti-magic) so basicly Edward became my potion + revive bot Vic and Eugene was mearly pawns, if they could get a hit in, it was good.

So i started running after her, Grinn Valesti a bit whenever i had the chance, killed orbs. Hydra armor deflects all magic so her Voltspehere of death etc gets canceled. Only thing that doesnt is those fancy magic missiles whatever their name is. But with around 90000 HP they cant kill you. When she does here melee attack, whirlwind slashes, avoid her... also when she starts channeling a thing called Acursed.. DO NOT stand anywhere near her. Its a LONG stun followed up by TONS of red digits flashing up on your screen to anyone near her. Painfull! But just outrange it... just mash Y all the time for edward the healbot to use pots and stuff all the time... she got lots of hp, but when you get hang of it, shes not that hard.
