thanks I'm definantly going to try this later today, I'm missing so few acheivments for this game now and I heard that if you do these on XBL they might not work so I don't want to waste my time if it's not gonna work, however all the other co-op acheivments worked today

once again CONFIRMED

I unlocked the lead guitar one yesterday and was bored out of my mind, today I unlocked bass/rhythem and watched instant movies on netflix during so it wasn't that bad but still annoying.

That would have been really helpful. It took me forever to get these two. I'd play coop with my sister or friends when they came over and had time to kill.

Confirmation: it works.

I did it in a couple sittings, but was careful to select the same difficulty each time and to have my profile in the "primary" slot (left side).

When I did it I hit a few notes for safety's sake, as if you don't score any points your score area is left blank on the song select screen, which seemed iffy to me. I got about 5 notes hit with both controllers, then went back to entertaining myself.

This will make things a lot easier. It'll still be pretty boring but at least I don't have to worry about finding another person and going through the setlist two times.

What to do:
- Activate the No Fail cheat

For those of you who haven't yet enabled the No Fail cheat, it is:

GR, B, GR, GY, B, GY, RY, O, RY, GY, Y, GY, GR

Okay once you have both controllers plugged in,
1. Go to Multiplayer and make sure you put your controller on the left and the second one on the right.

2. Select Co-op.

3. Choose any characters.

4. Now select any difficulty, but it doesn't really matter since no fail is on.

5. Choose either Guitar/Lead or Bass/Rhythm depending on which achievement you want to get first.

Alright now you play all the songs.

Can u play this on GH3 too to get the two achievments when u shall play as the leader guitarist and back-up guitarist(don understand the back-up g is it the same as bass/rythm)?

Well well, it works indeed, however i dont seem to be able to unlock that secret achievement for using the unlockable guitarists... the name of the achievement escapes me at this moment,

Do you have to play a few notes on both of the controllers? For like the first two sets I only played a couple of notes on one controller and none on the other. Is everyone just doing a couple notes on each just to be safe or will I have to do over the first two sets?

Im geting there to that 1000 My First 1000 WOOT I may get my frend to do the expert Singal player as i suck at it but i almost beat hard i have a few more songs to go and they are hard LOLZ

Got both achievements playing with only one controller. Had a normal controller for the 2nd, played the first couple notes of each song that was it.

Only difference was I'd played up to the 4th tier having done both lead and bass. Then reading that you had to play both controllers, I just finished off on lead, without playing the second controller, to see. That unlocked, so did the same for bass, no trouble there either.

Hope that helps someone.

You do NOT have to do this in one sitting. I did about half of it, then played Rock Band, finished up the other half and got my achievement. I'm working on Bass right now...

I'm so close to getting this achievement! But to make it clear, after you play all the songs, go turn off the no fail cheat, go back to multiplayer, and fail a song with the same difficulties. Then it'll pop up!

I'm unsure about GH3, not heard anything saying otherwise but the back-up guitar is the bass/rhythm.
