I'm sorely disappointed in the "collect all weapons and items" achievement. To me these are the single player RPG equivalent of the "gain rank X in multiplayer" achievements in shooters. The sole purpose of the achievement, it seems, is to make you sink endless hours into the game. Although one could at least argue the collect all items achieves in RPGs are designed to get you to "experience the game" more thoroughly by forcing you to look around the world they created.

At the same time, I'm also happy about this achievement simply because it sets apart the casual players that won't put the time and effort into it from those of us that will focus, buckle down, and get the achievement. Dang these mixed emotions! FF XIII sure as shootin won't be the game to break my 100% completion even if it takes 500 hours! I highly doubt it will take more than 100 or 150 hours tops to 1k though. Should be a fun ride.

Probably about 80-100 hours for all achievements from what I hear. No missable or online ones.

more like 100-150.To learn all the classes starting to take 3000-6000cp.And i checked ahead later its over 20000 a pop.Seen one that costs 42000.I'm doing 4000cp a minute now so i will be add it awhile.

The Achievements that I've earned for FFXIII are not beeing displayed online on xbox live. The Achievement Count and the Score goes up, but the achievements are not displayed. WTF?!

im a little confused about the basis for getting 5 stars in battles :x sometimes ill finish around 20 seconds under target time and still not get it, cant figure out what factors into that.

anyways for the achievements, is the loremaster just using libra on 100 different enemies?

I'm not very far in, but I'm wondering about some of the "mission" related achievements. Especially the ones that require 5 stars. Do you only have one shot, or can you retry it WITHOUT having to reload a previous save? I don't want to mess up and have to replay the entire game to get an achievement...

I have a question about L'Cie Paragon... is there a way in-game to tell which marks you have already 5 starred? Or will I have to go through the few that I've done again to make sure they are 5 starred?

Edit: Nvm, I'm apparently blind lol. Never noticed the 'push X to view mission list' on the bottom of the map screen.

I'm 65 hours in, and I am still getting all the missions. You have to be max trained to 5star all the missions, so this game is going to take 100+ hours. That treasure hunter achievement is a bitch...

Yes you can. All you need to do is go back to the cie'th stone that gave you the mission and it'll respawn the mark. You don't get the treasure from it again though sadly =/

The difficulty will come in when you have to 5 star the missions...you gotta have some pretty good setups to do the later ones.

Just wanted to post what I did for the Treasure Hunter achievement to maybe save some people time. When I started I only had three tier 3 weapons and not much else upgraded at all, maybe 50k xp worth (witches bracelet* and a catalog).

1. I collected and farmed every Trap/Accessory/Dark Matter I needed.(Can Genji/weapon dismantle some traps)
2. Farmed up about 4.5 Million Gil then made a separate game save.
3. Upgraded all my accessories using the list posted then sold them all. Dismantle grow egg* for more gil.
4. Upgraded all my weapons. Had to sell a few in between to finish off the rest.
5. Went to the robot for the achievement, reloaded my separate save back before I started to upgrade, and capped the good stuff out for 5-starring missions.

Hopefully this saves you some time knowing about how much gil I started with. I've seen some posts that say you need 7-10 mil to do this.

just think of it like this "target time" is the average time for the fight which mean if the target time is 2:30s and u finish it in 2:30s u will get a 3 star(there is no half star from what i know). and if u get like say 1:30s which i think this will get u a 5 star for this fight. and if u get 2min u will get a 4 star. last is what ever u had that's higher then the target time u will get no star to 3 star.(they are example)

that depend on how a person play this game. some may want it fast so they grind CP alot using fast CP spot. some may do it slow and just get CP the normal way without trying to grind on the CP spot much.

If someone don't know this - there is 3rd way to earn Lucky Break achievement (100k+ with one hit).
Every character has 5ATB abilityif you have enough str you can use it on enemy, here's how:
Snow, Fang - COM
Light, Shaz, Hope - RAV
Vanille - SAB, but it's death spell, and some mobs are immune, tbh i don't know if killing a mob with death and not dealing 99,999x2 dmg will unlock Lucky Break.

- enemy can't have any physical resistances
- you can debuff him with deprotect and buff party's physical attack
- stagger enemy, and at full bar use 5ATB ability
- character will do 2 hits, with good str it will be 99,999 and xx,xxx (can also be 99,999) and she will clear stagger state and chain gauge

It wont't break 100k+ limit, it still will be 99,999 + xx,xxx, but it will unlock the Lucky Break achievement.

I got this acidently during the growth egg fight, after killing the big dude with death I used the Vanilles Eidlon when my speed shoes buff had run out to help kill the little dudes - the Eidlon Y attack got me the cheevo

Chapters 1-5 are on the first disc I believe.
Chapters 6-9 are on the second one.
And Chapters 10-13 + Endgame are on the last one.
