Score "325,000" or more on the song "Train Kept a Rollin'

Wow, so I bought Guitar Hero: Aerosmith after renting it about six months ago. My old score was 120k on Train Kept A Rollin... One attempt six months later, and I scored 340k, and I was more or less sightreading the chart after not playing it for so long.

In that six month space, all I played was Rock Band/Rock Band 2. The tighter timing window really, really helped -- The hammer-ons in this game were so loose and relaxed in comparison.

Basically, star power the chords, practice the trills if you can't hit them, you want to break combo as little times as possible. If you miss a starpower phrase before the drum roll, restart the song. In fact, if you miss a star power phrase that you're sure you can usually hit (ie. you choked) then restart and go again. The SP phrases are invaluable.

this one took me 6 hours lol had to use hyperspeed 3 since i couldnt do the HO and PO made it by 4k hardest achievement in game imo.

350k just had to practice some of the solos and the chord after the drum roll. only took about 12 times lol.

as long as your decent on the solos and you can keep a multiplier through the chords in the middle of the song it's no problem. Highest I got when I first played this was 294,000. borrowed it from a friend a year later and it took me 4 tries to get 330,000 on it. Now I just need the Play all songs as lead and all songs bass/rythym ach. for my 1000 in it.

I got this game two years ago at Christmas, back then I played it through on every difficulty from easy to expert (my first ever guitar hero), and after finally completing career on expert, I had a high score of about 180k in this song. I thought I never gonna make it because I had to almost double my score for the achievement. Now I tried it years later and got 260k on first try. Next time 297k, then 312k, 317k and finally 337k.

As everyone else have said: just practice the charts, the double notes (can't remember what they are called), you know what I mean. RY and GY, GBY and so on. Use star power on those notes while keeping 8x multiplier. A good start for the song is about 16-18k after the first solo of the song. If you're struggling, remember that you're playing with thousands, not tens of thousands here, so if you miss an easy note where you know you could keep your 4x multiplier, just restart the song. That's what got me the achievement.

I can do good on this song, just not so good as to get the achievements. I do great when the chords come up, but for some reason i can't do the solo very well. Chart wise, I believe TTFAF is harder. But I've beaten TTFAF many times now on expert, but can't even get the right score on this song

EDIT: I finally got the achievement. It was easier than what i thought. I played TTFAF on hyperspeed and made 4* (as opposed to my previous 3*) and then i played TKAR on hyperspeed and easily got 350,000 (as opposed to my previous 240,000) lol

The achievement can only be unlocked by playing solo so doing co-op would be pointless.

Wee I finally got it today, with a nice score of 329k. Just follow the advice of everyone posting here. Hit your SP phrases, keep a combo during the verses, and make sure you can play that solos without needing SP and you should be good.

How does this achievements compare to "Hand Mutilator" in GHWOR and "Enter Sandman" in GH Metallica. I've managed to do both of them so is this easier/harder?

Thanks for the help, after a few tries I only managed a score of 278,000 though lol. I think with a bit of practise and mastering the chord changes I should be able to do it

Eugh, I still need help with this achievement.

I'm currently using HYPERSPEED: 2

I found on hyperspeed 4 I can get a better score on the first section, but slip up on the second half. My best score so far is 285,000

Any pointers? Which hyperspeed do you find easiest?

speed 2 344k max i got, just use sp 2 by 2 BUT on the silence part (drumming blabla) use once 3, & then 2 again til the end

if you do this co-op and your co-op partner gets 325K or more as his individual score will it unlock for both players or just him?

This cannot be done in any way on Co-op. At all.

If it helps, pause the song during the silent bit, then during the solo.
This way you can let your hand rest for a bit. Your most likely gonna lose your streak in the solo anyway so do it.

If you want you can give me your account info, I do the achievement right then and there, and return the account. I can very consistently get 395,000. I'm close to FCing this song, it's not that hard really. Just got like 30 notes left to master then the FC! But yeah if anyone wants the help just PM me on here or on XBL. GT: JustZackster

sigh. more of a RB player, but I picked this game up for 10 bucks a couple years ago. this achievement has been taunting me. I'm more of an "anything other than guitar" player... although I've been playing quite a bit of guitar recently and I'm not that bad. So why is it that when I plug in this game for the first time in 2 years, I outright fail this song? Maybe I just need to get used to the wacky backgrounds on the chart that make the notes harder to read. I just don't know if i have the patience to play this song a hundred times to get the cheve.

Highest score on TKAR on hard is 313k with insane squeezing and that 12k is not happening sorry, but it's not happening.

not to hard just play or practice the song and make sure to get and use starpower and should be golden...having a rhythm helps as well

Finally after a few years I finally got this achievement. My suggestion is hyperspeed 2 and practice, practice, practice!!!
