Achievement Guide

Rookie award 10
Complete the Amateur level in career.

Extremely easy, the Amateur level only consists of three Tie-break matches against very poor opponents. If you lose you can just try again and you can also change the difficulty to Very Easy if you’re struggling. Also you can turn Auto-save off (press Start on the career screen and select the relevant option) and only save after each win. Obviously you must have created a player first – so do that on the Main Menu.

Newcomer Award 20
Complete the Challenger level in career.

Again a fairly straightforward arrangement as you only have to play a grand total of six one set matches to progress, the competition is slightly better but not enough that you’ll actually struggle.

Orange Prize 40
Complete the Junior level in career.

The game now progresses to the more standard set-up, as you now have access to a calendar of events. You can choose between an easy or hard event each month, or just skip a month entirely. I’d recommend choosing the hard event each month as you’ll earn more ranking points, career money and unlock points – all of which benefit you further down the line. So you’ll have to play a total of twelve events (with three matches in each, assuming you win) and finish in the top three to progress.

Legends Club 50
Complete the Pro level in career.

Pretty much identical to the Junior Tour but against proper opponents this time around, so you’ll need to have some skills (or put it on easy). The events now consist of five matches each and you’ll earn significantly more points for winning, again I would recommend playing the harder tournaments as the money and points on offer will help towards other achievements.

Lemon Prize 70
Complete the Legend level in career.

Rinse and repeat what you’ve been through so far, just win everything available and save your progress after every game to be safe. The Legend level requires you to fulfill two tasks: beating all of the Grand Slams in a row (these events are the same as the ones on the pro tour) and winning the Hall of Fame, which comprises of eight matches against top players on a variety of surfaces.

Two in a row 20
Win 2 consecutive tournaments in the Pro level in career.

Just win two consecutive months tournaments. Doesn’t matter if one is easy and one is hard, just make sure you save after every match so that if something does go wrong you can replay a match,

Big Spender 40
Unlock 300 items in the mall.

Access the Mall by pressing Y in career mode to take you to the player area, then select the second option. Every match you play will give you unlock points and you can earn more than enough for this through Career mode. You need roughly 20,000 points and if you win every Hard event in your career then you will probably have this amount by your fifth/sixth event on the Pro tour. Go to the Global store and buy everything you can with a price of 250 or less. This will be more than enough to get the achievement. Be aware that there are less than 300 items TOTAL available if you are playing through career maode as a female - in this case, just buy what you can and then get the rest of the items on the Men's tour. Job done.

Experienced 40
Reach an Overall of 70 with a created player.

An average of 70 is the absolute MAX you can get a created player to, as you only have 560 points to spread between the eight attributes. Every match you use your created player in will earn you points but you’ll get plenty from winning events in Career mode so focus on that. The fastest way to get this is to give your player 70 in every skill – as this requires least points, but I recommend leaving certain skills lower and making your player outstanding (80/90) in two or three areas, as this will make matches easier on the whole than having an Average Joe.

Played cash. 30
Win $5,000,000 in Career mode.

Win every Hard (doesn’t have to be on hard difficulty mind you) event in the career mode and you’ll have this by the Dublin tournament in the Pro tour. The Hard events have better prize money so always enter those.

Here you go! 5
Create a player with the Player Creator.

Go to the Player Creator option on the Main Menu and just select a character, all you have to do is name them and then save – you can change other options if you like but its isn’t required. Once you Save this will unlock. You’ll need to do this before playing online or in career mode anyway.

Big names club 20
Complete the Hall Of Fame in career mode on hard difficulty.

Fairly self-explanatory. Be warned that the A.I gets a lot better on Hard difficulty and uses power and risk shots quite often, so you’ll have to have got to grips with the mechanics of the game before you’re prepared to take them on. The Hall of Fame is one part of The Legend tour on Career mode and you have to play the eight best players in the game on their favourite surface. You CAN play through the rest of career mode on Very Easy (including Grand Slam mode on the Legend Tour) and then change to Hard difficulty via the Start menu before you begin Hall of Fame mode. My best advice would be to learn how to serve right into the corners so the ball spins off court forcing the A.I to lunge for it. Practice pressing the direction button just as your player starts to through the ball into the air. This way the A.I will usually return the ball weakly to the centre of the court and you can bury it into the opposite corner. This ensures you never drop serve and can just stay in the match until you either break them or win a tie break.

Trigger Happy 20
Hit 500 winners from the baseline in singles matches.

This doesn’t just apply to shots when you are stood at the baseline (the line that you serve from) but to any winner you hit when the ball has already bounced once. I unlocked this by hitting a winner from the centre of the court – as long as the ball has bounced then it will count. The only exception (I believe) is on service returns, so if you score a winner when hitting your opponents serve back that may not count.

First liner 30
Hit 250 winners at the net in singles matches.

As with the baseline achievement you don’t HAVE to be at the net for the point to count, basically any point you win when hitting a volley (i.e. when you hit the ball before it has a chance to bounce) will count. So volleys, smashes etc are all good. If you’re struggling then play on Very Easy and hit soft shots towards your opponent and then rush the net at the earliest opportunity, you should easily be able to score a lot of points this way. I recommend using the X shot unless you have a high volley statistic as the A.I struggles to return it.

Mean server 20
Serve 100 aces in singles matches.

Pretty much impossible to get against the A.I unless you get a massive serve statistic throughout your career (I only have 1 ace in my entire career). So I would recommend plugging in a second pad and playing against yourself, you can get 4 aces a game - so if you set it to 6 games per set and 5 sets per match you’ll be able to amass 36 aces a match. Three matches like that and you’re done.

2K award 20
Win 2000 points in singles matches.

Every point you win counts towards this achievement, even those when your opponent hits the ball out or Double Faults. Don’t worry about playing an endless amount of exhibition matches as you’ll easily earn enough points throughout the single player career (if you win every match) as if you win every match perfectly, not going to Deuce or losing a game etc, then there are plenty more than 2,000 available.

Faster this way 20
Serve at least 10 aces in a singles match.

You’ll get this while going for the 100 serves against your non-playing friend, make sure you play at least six games in a match though as you’ll need to serve in three games to get 10+ aces. Just press A and release when the ball as it it’s highest and the ball will stay inbounds. If you want this legit then I suggest playing long games and aiming into the corners early, mix up the angles you serve at and add extra power with RT. You’ll need to practice the timing.

No kidding 20
Win a singles match with at least 30 winners, less than 10 unforced errors on hard difficulty.

Must be done in Exhibition mode. I’d recommend going for this and ‘Men’s Award’ at the same time, as 30 winners requires you to win about 8 games anyway so you may as well kill two birds with one stone. If you want to go for this separately though play a game with 5 sets and 3 games per set, so you’ll need to hit at least 36 points to win. That gives you some leeway for your opponent hitting the ball out etc. An unforced error is when you hit the ball out, into the net or double fault so try to be cautious.

Men’s award 25
Win a singles match with 5 sets per match and 6 games per set on hard difficulty.

Must be done on Exhibition mode. Doesn’t matter how you win so just go all out, set up an exhibition match using your favourite player against the weakest female opponent (sorry ladies). I’d also recommend playing on clay as the A.I has a tougher time returning deep shots into the corners due to the lower bounce.

Focused award 15
Win a singles match with 3 sets per match and 3 games per set with less than 10 unforced errors.

You can do this against a second pad and just ace all your own serves while returning theirs for an easy point, or just make then Double Fault every serve whichever is easiest.

Rusher award 15
Win a singles match with 3 sets per match and 3 games per set with at least 20 winners at net.

This can be tough as if you win every point then there are only 24 on offer, you can cheat it though by deliberately getting games to Deuce and then winning/losing points by getting as many volleys as you need. Just use the A button to hit easy shots to your opponent and get to the net ASAP, then use X or B and hit angled volleys away from your opponent. Best done against the A.I on Very Easy as they hit easy shots that you can volley and will rarely lob you when you’re at the net.

Not that tough 20
Win 10 consecutive singles matches on hard difficulty without dropping serve.

Must be done on Exhibition mode. Set matches to one set and only three games, then put yourself at the top of the court so you are receiving serve first. That way if you win every game you only have to serve once and it reduces the risk. Make sure to play against the weakest A.I opponent you can find, and if you lose serve quit to the dashboard before the game saves.

Court Regular 30
Play 100 matches (singles or doubles, in any game mode).

Don’t bother boosting for this as you’ll play well over 100 games in Career mode anyway so any extra games are unnecessary. I’d also recommend only playing singles games, as all of the points achievements ONLY count during singles so doubles is pretty much a waste of time.

World premiere 20
Win a World Tour match.

World Tour is the online ranked mode, you can enter a variety of tournaments and winning them earns you money and ranking points as in single player. If you get knocked out of an event though you can’t re-enter it until a new season starts so be aware of that. All you have to do is beat one person in any game (Quick Match counts too) and this will unlock. If they quit at anytime before or during the match this will NOT unlock though you will be credited with a win, you have to fully finish and win a match for this to count.

Keep it up 20
Win 5 consecutive World Tour matches.

See ‘It’s all about timing, see?’.

It's all about timing, see? 40
Win 10 consecutive World Tour matches.

You’ll need to win 10 matches in a row for this to unlock, though the games can be split between both the men’s and women’s online World Tour (so you could get 4 on one and 6 on the other). If you are good then this will come eventually but if you want to boost then have yourself and a friend join the same tournaments at the same time and you’ll be paired together. Let one of you win ten in a row, then the other player can return the favour through Quick matches (As once you get to the semis etc in a tournament you can only play people who have reached the same stage).

World career 30
Play 100 matches in World Tour.

You must fully complete 100 games for this to count, you can’t just quit matches as even though it gives you a loss it doesn’t count as a game played for some reason. So the best way is to boost this with a friend and take it in turns winning and losing – though it doesn’t matter if you win or not to be honest.

100 mixed 20
Play 50 matches in women's World Tour and 50 matches in men's World Tour.

Do this at the same time as the above, and make sure that you complete every game for this to unlock. You can only have one player active in each online mode at the same time, so don’t create and play with a new player on the same account as it will wipe all of your stats on any players you’ve used before. This needs to be 50 with ONE man and 50 with ONE woman.

Beaten em' all 30
Win a Grand Slam tournament in World Tour.

Skill will get you this, but having four accounts and two machines (or a friend and two each) is better. Basically go to the women’s tour and enter a Grand Slam with your friend and they let you win, so you go to the semi-finals. Your friend can then create a new player and play against your second account (in the same tournament) with you letting them win so that both of you are in the semis. Both of you make new players on your second accounts, then let THEIR account win – sending them to the semis. Now play their second account (who’s in the semis) with your primary account and win to get to the finals. Now they can create a new player with their secondary account and you create a new one with your secondary account, but this time YOUR secondary account wins. Use your secondary account to play their primary account in the semis and let them win. Both of you are now in the finals, so one of you can get this achievement. Repeat this for another tournament and job’s a goodun.

P.S For a more detailed, step by step guide to how exactly this works see post 17 of this thread. (Thanks to Wavescope for the more user friendly set up - I've expanded it so that nothing is missed).

Season’s 5000s 30
Win 5000 points in a World Tour Season.

This isn’t related to points won in a game but refers to season points that you acquire for winning matches and tournaments. If you are boosting then just let one player win all the minor events and the first round in all of the major ones and Grand Slams – this will get you nearly 4000 points. So use a second account to boost your friend into the next rounds too and then trade victories so that you both have the required number of points from the remaining events. You can also play quick matches to score more points if you fall short.

That goes with glory 40
Win $1,000,000 World Tour Prize money.

A lot easier than it looks if you are using the above boosting method. Just winning all the minors and first round (quarter final) events will net you the required amount and you can always play and win quick matches to earn more if you're still a bit short. Remember that ONLY your online money counts towards this.

Grid-top regular 30
Reach 4 finals in a World Tour season.

This achievement is misleading as it only counts if you reach Grand Slam finals, none of the Masters or Minor events count. Obviously getting to all four Grand Slam finals in one online season will be hard - but using the above method for Beaten 'Em All will make this easier. You don't have to play the finals either, it should pop as soon as you reach the last final and are back in the online menu.

Local Champ 20
Enter your geographical zone's top 1000 (at least 20 matches played in World Tour).

This is easier than it looks, especially at the moment, as not many people are playing this game at the moment so there are only 1,400 players total online in the men’s tour and very few of them have played 20+ matches. So winning about 5 of your first twenty games will see you into the top 1,000. It’s also split by region (Europe, North America etc) so your odds are even better. Bare in mind that games you (or your opponent) quit sometimes seem not to count. I got mine at exactly 20 (with one game forfeited against me) while my friend got it at 25 (with about 8 games forfeited) so it seems a bit random.

Tennis elbow 0
Lose a singles match on Xbox LIVE without winning a game.

Doesn’t work if you forfeit, so just play a match and don’t win a game – should get this if you boost for Tennis Teacher.

Tennis teacher 20
Win a singles match on Xbox LIVE without losing a game.

Tough to do this legit as most of the online regulars are damn fine players SO just set up a match with a friend and have them do nothing until you win. Easy as.

World Tour Regular 20
Play 5 seasons in World Tour.

The season’s are timed so even if you play all the events on a tour you have to wait until time runs out to start a new season. A season lasts 15 days real time, so this is gonna take 60 days of your time (assuming you jump into each season as soon as it starts).

School’s Out 10
Complete every lesson in the TopSpinSchool.

Tougher than it sounds this one and can take a couple of hours of your time easily. Basically the school is on the Main Menu and you can use it to access all of the tutorials about the various shots on offer in the game. I’d recommend you do this anyway to familiarise yourself with the controls but be warned that some of the shots are quite tricky to handle. Also make sure you leave Mixed Shots until last as you’ll need to do the others first to understand what shots are available.

Tournament hot shot 50
Win all tournaments in Tournament mode.

Tournament mode is separate to the career or online mode but features most of the same tournaments, it’s available from the Main Menu. You can play through using any player (including your created one) and on any difficulty so just take your time and beat them all.

Half the way 20
Win 1000 points in singles matches, in any game mode against any opponent.

See 2K Award.

Safeplay award 10
Win a set with no unforced errors in a singles match, in any game mode, against any opponent.

Can be done easily against the A.I on lower difficulties or against a second controller, just make sure you don’t double fault, hit the net or hit out of bounds and you’ll nab this easily. Remember that it only has to be in one set and not the entire match so you should get this during career without even trying.

Warmed up 5
Win a singles match, in any game mode against any opponent.

Just play a singles match in exhibition, online, career or tournament mode and this will unlock when you win. If you struggle with the timing them change the difficulty to Very Easy. Remember to hold the shot button for power and release it just after the ball has bounced on your side of the court for better timing.

Winning duo 5
Win a doubles match.

The only time you’ll have to play doubles as it’s really not necessary for any other achievements. You can make this really easy by putting one or two pads on the other team and just serving up a load of aces.

The reach 4 finals achievement, can that only be done with the grand slam tournaments?

Good guide to. The rusher award can also be done really easily with 2 controllers as well.

Not sure about the finals thing yet, but I'll let you know and update the guide this week. I'm in the finals of all five of the middle row tournaments, so once I've done them I'll let you know. I'm also on my way to the finals of the Grand Slams too so I'll have a definitive answer in a couple of days.

I know the rusher award can be done with two controllers, but I just wrote the guide assuming one person wanted the points (As I was) so wouldn't have someone actively manning the other controller - as that would be quite fiddly. But I'll add it in.

I did it by myself. Easy once you get the hang of it And cheers for looking into the finals for me. Think I am in 3 finals for the middle set of tournaments, so if I play that and one more, it would be nice to get that achievement. As 4 grand slam finals in one season would be impossible for most people to do legit.

No kidding has to be done offline on hard, so thats why you are not getting it online, and is your career set to hard?

Keep it up has to be done with 5 straight victories, no-one can quit or it resets itself.

Grid Top Regular is online only AND it only counts for Grand Slams. I found this out last night by winning all five of the Masters Finals and getting nothing - then I reached the finals of all 4 Grand Slams (but didn't play the last match) and the achievement popped up straight away.

This is gonna be a tough one to get legit but I have devised a method to help folk. All this info has been added into the guide.

That goes with glory - popped for me as soon as I hit just over 1 million online, your offline money doesn't count towards this either.

Tips for Tennis Beginners:

Shots:
- Flat shot: you should use this most of the time as it provides the most power and accuracy. Produces a regular volley when at the net.

- Topspin: This will spin away to the right (if you are serving at the bottom of the screen) and is good for pushing your opponents out of position. Produces a power volley when at the net.

- Slice: This spins away to the left (if you are serving at the bottom of the screen) and is good for slowing the pace of the game. Produces an angled volley when at the net.

+ - Drop shot: Will attempt to drop the ball just over the net, and is good for scoring points when your opponent is behind the baseline. Tricky timing though.

+ - Lob: A high shot that is only useful when your opponent is at the net, fail the timing and you’ll set up an easy smash though.

- Can be used to serve by pushing back and then forwards, or for lobs and dropshots.

- Risk shot (accuracy): Combine this with other shots to produce a more accurate hit, the timing on these needs to be spot on and holding the button too long will cause you to hit out.

- Risk shot (power): Combine this with other shots to hit the ball harder than usual, again this requires spot on timing and don’t hold the trigger for too long.

- Hustle (baseline): Press this after a shot to help you rapidly get back into position.

- Hustle (net): Press this after a shot to make your player charge the net, ready to volley your opponents next shot.

Pressing the required shot button will start your swing and the longer you hold the button the more power you’ll generate, you should aim to release the swing just after the ball has bounced. Though the quicker you get into position the more power and accuracy you’ll achieve. If you are on the run and reaching for a shot then you’ll have greater trouble producing a telling shot. Direction for all shots is controlled by pressing the but pressing it too early and mis-timing the ball can result in you hitting out of bounds.

Terms:

Serve – when you have the ball in hand and have to get the ball over the net and into the small box in front of your opponent. You can use any of the buttons to start the serve then release them when the ball is at the highest point of the throw for maximum power. Use to determine the direction of the serve but don’t push it too early or you’ll hit out of bounds. You get two attempts to keep your serve in bounds. Players alternate who serves after every game.

Ace - When you serve correctly and your opponent fails to hit the ball, rewarding you the point.

Fault – When your serve doesn’t land in the correct area or hits the net on your side of the court.

Double Fault – When you fail to serve correctly twice, rewarding your opponent with the point.

Let – When your serve hits the net but falls in bounds, it doesn’t count as a serve or fault but you’ll be required to try again.

Baseline – The line at the back of the court that you serve from.

Volley – Hitting or smashing the ball before it has bounced on your side of the court.

Smash – When someone tries to lob you but doesn’t succeed, the ball will be high in the air offering you a powerful free hit. Just watch your direction.

Game – One round of a set, comprises of the first to four points (progression being: 15, 30, 40 – game won) though if the points get to 40 all, the game will go to Deuce and a clear winner will be determined by whoever wins two consecutive points.

Deuce – When both players have won three points in a game. Winning another point will give a player Advantage, so if they win a second point they win the game. If a player loses a point while they have Advantage the game goes back to Deuce.

Set – A match can consist of between one and five sets, and the player that wins the most is the match victor. A set has 3-6 games and the first player to amass this number of games wins the set. If the players manage to reach 2 games each (if a set has 3 games) or 5 games each (if a set has 6 games) then the set will be won if one player wins the next two matches. If the players are tied at three or six games all then the set will be determined by tiebreak, with the first player to seven points claiming the set. If players are tied on points at 6 all, the first player to lead by two clear points wins. The only time a tiebreak will not be played is in the final set of a five or three set match – this set will continue until one player leads by two clear games. This is not the case in this game if Super Tie Break is turned on.

Super Tie Break – like a normal tie break, but the first player to ten points wins.

Out – When the ball doesn’t bounce in bounds (the side tram lines count as out of bounds in singles but in bounds during doubles) resulting in the point being awarded to the player who didn’t hit the ball.

Unforced Errors – When a player makes a mistake without any pressure from their opponent, this can include a Double Fault, hitting the ball out or hitting it into the net.

Thought I'd add all of this to the guide as help for those that rent the game or have no clue about tennis in general. Cheers.

P.S Sorry to double post - I was going to reserve space for this after the guide but forgot.

Strange then as both my friend and I unlocked the achievement with no problems last night. Your explanation is a more friendly on the eye version of what I put in the guide. Though I'd recommend that people use player 2.1 (as you've put it) to lose to player 1.1 in ALL the tournaments before you move on - that way you'll get more points and money. The key to getting in the same game is to talk (obviously) with aheadset and have one player go into a match and the other one follow a second later - don't press play game at the same time as it has a habit of putting you both in a new lobby each, so the second delay helps a lot. Just don't leave it too long or someone else may jump in.

So to expand on what you did:

Both players need a primary and secondary Live account. The primary account should be the one they want the achievements on and the secondary is used for creating players that will help boost both people thrugh the tournies. NEVER create a second player of the same gender on your primary account as if you use them online it will wipe the stats of the other character you used.

So with reference to the following guide:

Player 1.1 - Player One's primary account.

Player 1.2, 1.3, 1.4 - Player Ones secondary account (only create a new player when told to, you need to do this to ensure you can re-enter tournaments you've already played).

Player 2.3 - Player Two's primary account.

Player 2.1, 2.2, 2.4 - Player Two's secondary account (as above).

Player 1.1 Vs Player 2.1 - QF Match
Player 1.1 Wins - SF (repeat for all minors, masters and Grand Slams)

Player 1.1 has now won all minors, is in the finals of all masters and the semis of the Grand Slams.

Player one creates a new player (on a seperate account - VERY important or the statistics reset). Player two does the same but can overwrite the first player they made.

Player 1.2 Vs Player 2.2 - QF Match
Player 2.2 Wins - SF (repeat for masters and Grand Slams)

Player 2.2 is now in the finals of the masters and semis of Grand Slams.

Player one goes back to their original player, while Player two uses the one that has just won all the matches.

Player 1.1 Vs Player 2.2 - SF Match
Player 1.1 Wins - F (repeat for all masters finals and Grand Slam semis)

Player 1.1 has now won all minor and masters tournaments and is in all Grand Slam finals.

Player one creates a new player on their second account (the one not in the Grand Slam finals) and Player two does likewise.

Player 1.3 Vs Player 2.3 - QF Match
Player 2.3 Wins - SF (repeat for all minors, masters and Grand Slams)

Player 2.3 has now won all minors, is in the finals of all masters and the semis of the Grand Slams

Player one creates another player on their second account (oiverwriting the one that just lost all the matches). Player two creates a new player on their second account (VERY important as if it is made on the first account it will overwrite the stats of their player in the finals/semis).

Player 1.4 Vs Player 2.4 - QF Match
Player 1.4 Wins - SF (repeat for masters and Grand Slams)

Player 1.4 is now in the finals of the masters and semis of Grand Slams.

Use Player ones second account (that's in the masters finals and Grand Slam semis) and Player twos primary account (likewsie).

Player 1.4 Vs Player 2.3 - SF Match
Player 2.3 Wins - F (repeat for all masters finals and Grand Slam semis)

Player 2.3 has now won all minor and masters tournaments and is in all Grand Slam finals.

Both players now switch to their primary accounts.

Player 1.1 Vs Player 2.3 - Final Match
Have Player one win the first Grand Slam final then alternate victories for the remaining three tournaments. You MUST play the full game in the final to get the achievement if one player drops out or forfeits you won't get it, so be warned.

This method will get you enough money, points, wins and finals appearances to cover all the online achievements. The only things you'll be missing are 100 games played, 50 with both men/women and played in 5 World Tour seasons. You can forfeit games to speed things up but these don't always count towards your stats for the 100 wins etc.

I've submitted my guide for checking and have also passed on this bit to add to it, I've given props to you Wavescope for coming up with the more user friendly format. Hope you don't mind me expanding it into a step by step guide.

EDIT: ANY CHANCE A MOD COULD MOVE THIS AND MY TENNIS TIPS SO THEY ARE BELOW THE MAIN GUIDE? IT WOULD MAKE THINGS A LOT CLEARER AND EASIER. CHEERS.

- Risk shot (accuracy): Combine this with other shots to produce a more accurate hit, the timing on these needs to be spot on and holding the button too long will cause you to hit out.

- Risk shot (power): Combine this with other shots to hit the ball harder than usual, again this requires spot on timing and don’t hold the trigger for too long.
is actually a top spin shot, not a back spin. is a slice, not a top spin, and it's a perfect shot for moving your opponent around the court as it's the most angled standard shot. is a power risk shot. is an accuracy risk shot. This is of course assuming you're using the standard control scheme.

Getting the 5 and 10 win streak achievement is really easy as well. Simply wait until your player has levelled up a fair bit (mid 50's or 60's) then go into Quick Match on the World Tour. If you meet an opponent with much lower skill than yourself, simply play him and beat him. If you meet someone of equal or greater skill, simply quit out of the match before it starts. It'll register as a loss but it won't break your win streak. I managed the achievement this way even though I must have quit about 10 matches inbetween my 1st and 10th wins.

Also, getting aces against the AI is perfectly possible. If you perfect the timing of the combined power and accuracy risk serve, it's possible to rack up a good number of aces against certain AI opponents (like real life, some are better returners than others).

Corrections made - many thanks as I was typing this while away from my console and couldn't remember the controls exactly, ha ha!

As for beating players on hard mode all I would say is to work on perfecting your timing, especially for Risk shots. As it all comes down to who controls the rally and if you send a weak shot back over the net your opponent will bury it.

Just going through Hall of Fame myself so will post tips when I'm done.

Big Spender 40
Unlock 300 items in the mall.

I start my career using a female player and so far I've beaten 2 tournament and unlock almost all of the items except 3. The problem here is that there is only 288 items for female. Unless I create a male player to unlock some items or the downloadable content store have items in it, I won't be able to achieve this with just a female player.

Correct, you have to go to the male tour and buy a load of items there too to make up the 300 required. I've added this info to the guide for clarification as this has been raised before. Frankly I would just advise you to start off as a male player but it's simple enough to buy a few more items with a created player if you must - as your unlock points can be used for both.

I've also added some more info for Hall of Fame mode on Hard difficulty. It was actually a lot easier than I thought it would be.

No, you can get that achievement in Career or Tournament mode too. It's just easier to do in exhibition as you can pick your opponent, as well as the court and number of games.

Your choice.

To be honest, once you get the hang of the A.I on Hard mode holding serve is pretty easy so this shouldn't be too much of a struggle.

I played several tournaments in tournament mode on hard difficulty without dropping a single game, and I still didn't get the achievement. I also did the same thing in career mode and didn't get it. But, I DID get it playing 10 matches in exhibition mode on hard difficulty.

Apologies for leading you wrong. Seems weird though as you can get any of the other achievements in Career, Exhibition or Tournament so it's odd that this one is restricted to exhibition.

Oh well - congrats for getting it done.

Are you teasing me or not? Ha ha. Well just in case - it means that you can't let the opponent win a game when you are serving. They can win on their own serve but if you let them break you even once then the run is over. So you have to win 10 matches in a row without losing a single game when you are serving.

Not that bad to do actually.
