One question about roots of evil...

You need to burn them in each chapter, or you can burn all of them at the end?

You can wait until ep8.1 and then there all marked on your map for you and then do them in one shot. In ep7 you have to do a few to get your spec vision up to 30.

im stuck with the one on the TOP left of the MAP.
it shows a cut scene with bats or whatever they are flaying around a statue.
now I cant seem to get anything up high enough to blow up the root.

any ideas?

Do you see the ones on the map they look like white dots just do those to get your spec up to 30. When you get to one use anything with fire or explosives to destroy it.

Use a taped bottle on a bat and shoot it when it flies close. I've also heard more ultimate bombs (like ammo + bottle) have a larger blast radious and can as such hit it, but I did it the sticking it to a bat way...

the one you posted about in your topic is somewhere like this
start from the castle grab a car and head east along the main road (the way you can tell is by the compass arrow orange is north) keep going along the path and then u will come to that broken off area that mahalo talked about. follow the path to the right of that and continue along the road and you will see a ramp that you need to drive up and it will launch a car into the root.

start in ch 7.3 one is by the lake before the long bridge leading across the lake....

thanks. I tried the the the bat way but yeah way too hard.
I just taped some ammo to a bottle and threw it at the root. even though the aiming system thing showed it wouldnt make it. but it did. thanks!

The bat one is easier to just go right of the tree by the ledge or drop off and look all the way up with a plastic taped moltov

I'm just wondering if anyone can help me with these. I have managed to burn one, I came across that whilst playing. However, does anyone know how many exactly I need to be looking for? I'm on Episode 7, and a ton have just popped up on my GPS. If I leave this until I complete the game, is there any chance I can just simply replay Chapter 8 and burn then all then? Feedback will be appreciated

Should I always bring stuff with me anyways?
Seems I should bring lots of spray I seem to using perfectly good bottles for these roots I can reach.

Yes, 100% of the time all the equipment you will need to destroy the root can be found in the near vicinity. To be prepared bring at least 1 bottle of fuel (for bullets more than anything), Bandages (healing and cocktails) and at least some form of spray (tons of enemies die in seconds under the blast).

Even so, those things are always provided anyway....

Yea, I'm stuck in the area that you had to drop glowsticks down the shaft then climb down the ladders. I walked through the black ooze of death (BOOD), molotov cocktailed the root, but now I'm stuck in there. I can't seem to find a ladder or a rope or anything to get out of that room. Little help please

Use the glowsticks around and go back the way you came.



Ok there are 5 root spots kinda in the middle of the island. east side has water, south and west have gashes and water and gash on the north.
It looks like there is a small bridge on the north is that how I get in there?

1. Drive west over the chasm and head toward the static symbol on the lower coastline. The medium sized root is in the center of a giant pond surrounded by one knife throwing humanoid. Snipe him with some fire bullets and burn the plant.
2. TIP: There are booze bottles lying around the pond if needed.
3. Back on the main road, head northwest to the next static symbol. The large root is in a tan amphitheater guarded by a knife thrower. This root should bump Edward above 50 spectral points.
4. Head directly west to the next root. It's growing in the middle of a circular grassy section surrounded by benches.
5. Move northwest for the next root. There are plenty of poison spiders lurking, so be quick in this section. The root is in a picnic area between two sets of benches.
6. Southwest for the next root. It's a giant root in the middle of a crevice. There are two ways to go about this one. The hard way is driving your car off the nearby ramp and jumping out before it launches into the root. Edward would then shoot the gas tank. The easy way is to carefully walk on a lighted metal lamppost in the northeast corner and toss your explosive object from the end.

I'm stuck on the one in the middle of the chasm, if I go up the ramp and land the police car on it it respawns me, do I have to bail out while the car's on fire?

if you can jump out with enough speed, the car will land on the platform. you can then shoot it to explode it and destroy the root.

doable but took me 20+ attempts.

Currently I'm stuck on the one far west where the fissure attacks for the first time.. You have to drive off a ramp onto the island, but every time I do the game just kills me for no reason.

EDIT: Nevermind, went around the other side and climbed the lampost so I could hit it with a bottle. All roots finished thankfully!

I am at 7.3 and have the 30/100 Spectral Vision points but I want to get all the ones that have shown up on the map before I continue with the story.I have 4 left but the one im stuck on is at the bottom of the map next to a lake (there is also 3 cars near it). I have killed 3 demons that were outside of a building with a clock above the door but for the life of me cant find the r00t.

I stand in the middle of the static circle but yet I dont see the r00t anywhere or get the ripple effect when close to it.Is the r00t in the building with the clock above the door and if so how do I get in that door? Iv tried using the sledge hammer that is on the ground but all that did was dent the door a little so if anyone can help me with this godawful game that would be killer....

EDIT: NVM I had to shoot a bottle close to the door and it blew it open,man thes r00ts are such a waste of time

Do the static spots disappear from the map once the root is burned? I've done 2 so far and the static is still there. I was wandering if that was normal.

Yeah, enhanced spectral vision which allows you to see your enemies weak points when your eyes are closed. You also need them all to unlock the barrier in Chapter 8.
