I've 5-starred everything except 3 or 4 songs on GH2 (expert) I've got the "Enlightened Guitarist" achievement on GH3 for beating 20 songs on expert with a gold star rating (100% notes hit). My best run on TKaR on expert is less than 200k... You do the math! I only played the song 2 or 3 times but still, it's not gonna be easy.

Here are a few things you can add:
I was playing pro-face off and was ahead by over 10,000 when my opponent quit. I got both the win a pro-face off game and the win by over 10,000 points achievement. Opponent quiting = a win for you. But, when I was in a different pro-face off game and quit myself, I did NOT get the achievement for losing. You have to sit all the song and lose to get the losing achievements ![]() When in local co-op the second player does not receive the following achievements: "Combination" , "Jailbait" , "Sick as a Dog" , " Women of the World" , "Subway" , "Dude Looks Like a Lady" , "On the Road Again" , "Nine Lives" , "Critical Mass" , or "March 19th, 2001". I played through the game with my friend and he did not receive any of these. He did however, receive all of the streak achievements and the gold star achievement. We id not play only bass or guitar, so I am unsure if he would have received either of those. I doubt it though. Tips on how to get "Soul Saver": Host a Battle mode game on the difficulty you are most comfortable with and pick the song you play best on. Now, since you want to bring this game into overtime you will need to withstand your opponents attacks and not fail. You should start saving up some power ups in your storage area. You will need at least one broken string or whammy. Then get two other power ups that hurt; like lefty flip and double notes. Once you have these three in your arsenal you need to avoid hitting other attack phases. Miss the first note on all of the following phases so you don't switch it out for one of your already perfect threesome. Once the song finishes you will start over, and you will start with three power ups!Once the first death drain power up comes use all three attacks right before hand or during. Your opponent will miss it, but you won't! Now just use your death drain power up and laugh at your opponent as he/she fails. Last edited by Birky; 06-30-2008 at 09:27 AM. |

![]() Seriously, I tried this. I was the host and played the whole setlist as bass (my co-op buddy had already done the bass achievement in local co-op). Three hours later, no achievement. I have heard from a few that it is possible and I will amend the guide but at best this is a bit glitchy.

Something strange happened when it came to the Deuces are Wild/Love me two times achievement for me last night.
I hosted all the games and my friend played lead on medium the entire time. I switched from Expert to Medium halfway through. Once we finished TKAR it didn't pop up for both of us, but he went to go play a career song and it popped up for him (Deuces are wild) despite me hosting the matches. So yeah... I don't know what the deal with these achievements is. |

For Same Old Song and Dance, do you have to beat all the songs in the same career/on the same difficulty. I don't think my fingers can take expert anymore today.

Don't know about the same career but I do know that you have to do all the bonus songs on the same difficulty. I couldn't do 2 of the bonus songs so I tried them on a lower difficulty and I did not get the achievement but when I did all the bonus songs on a lower difficulty I got the achievement.

I guess I'll be trying for deuces are wild again tomorrow, setting the games up the same way. It had better unlock or I won't be happy. Last edited by dab198; 06-30-2008 at 07:11 PM. |

I can confirm that using two separate bands WILL get you this achievement. I bought DMC and Joe Perry on my first band. Then I bought the other two fellows with money from my second band and the achievement unlocked. I assume this will work with the guitars as well, I will report back once I get enough money and try it out. |

After trying it, Score Hero can NOT be done in Co-op. I hosted, played lead guitar, and we had 400,000 with no achievement.
Oh well, I guess it doesn't hurt to try. My best so far is only 235K.

Pretty sure that the guide says PLAY 20 matches not win 20 (and has said that since the start). But thanks anyway.

Just got my 1000 and would like to confirm a few things.
For the achievement "Toys in the Attic" (purchase all guitars) you do NOT need to buy the guitars for beating each difficulty. I never touched any difficulty but expert, bought all the non-unlock able ones and got my achievement. Also, I used the money I earned form three separate bands, so you can use multiple bands. I did the co-op local (didn't want to risk the glitchy online). The first time though I was the lead profile. I played the first song as guitar, then the second as bass, then the third as guitar, then bass, and so on the whole way. Then, at a later time (while I was still lead profile) I played the whole thing starting as bass, then guitar the whole way down. Both achievements unlocked fine for me. For the achievements "Love me Two Times" and "Deuces are Wild" you only need to play each song on the designated instrument (guitar or bass) at some point in time, not in a row. I don't know how this works on Live play, but it's like this for local. I think this has been confirmed, but for "What it takes" (20 online games) each song counts, not just set of song. EX: playing all five of a first to five counts as five games played. Hope this is helpful to the guide

Great guide! Everything is well thought out and explained well. The first use for me was for the 500 note achievement, the suggestion of "All the Young Dudes" worked perfectly! Thanks!
