199 Pigeon / Flying Rat Club

I was a (not so) proud member of the 199 Pigeon Club ... I thought a thread should be started for those in a similar spot.

The only advice I have seen is ... start again w/ a fresh (gamesradar) map ... Here are few that I have seen give others some trouble... #'s: 15, 23, 66, 92 (was missing from an early version) , 104, 145 ...

If you have gotten 200, do you remember what # your last rat was??

My last rat was an easy one, I had simply scratched it when I did another. (#82, scratched with 80/81)

My Story:
I'm 26, work 40-50 hrs/week (inside sales for a SUN VAR), married, GTA 4 NUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! With my job and marriage still in tact, I've managed to put in 60 hours into GTA4.

My problem:
One rat … To expand - it's karma…………. I go take a "break," (aka: get in touch w/ my inner lil'Jacob… come back to the game refreshed, but possibly more forgetful =/.
AND after one of these "breaks," while searching pigeons, I seemingly scratched one that I shouldn't… I've gone back through each location 2 times (although, I haven't learned my lesson - still taking "breaks" while doing these (re)searches).

… I know, I know, I should "just say, no!" ..but the utopia that is reached when one plays this wonderful game after smot usage, is rivaled only by the obvious …… bj's while playing the game after smot usage – which, no one told me, goes away after marriage =P

Now I am stuck with one damn rat, holding me back from being eligible for "the key"… There are plenty of guys posting helpless pleas on blogs … So; I thought I would send my helpless plea straight to the source!!

My plea - to the omnipotent beings at Rockstar:
Any chance there is phone # (cheat) that you could release, (lets say before Monday=) that would show where one's remaining pigeons are?

Either way, GREAT GAME, GREAT CONTEST, I'm just pissed I lost track of my rat,

that site has a pigeon missing deliberately. dont use it.

use the pigeon guide here along with the videos and go thru them again, u will fidn it.

Well, I made the dumbass mistake of using the IGN guide, you know, the one with the stupid ASCII pigeon at the top of the page? Anyway, after going through the entire thing, whattya know, I'm missing 2 pigeons! For anyone else who blundered into using this p.o.s. guide, the 2 I missed are on the Gamesradar map, #'s 128 and 164. Pass it along if anyone needs it before midnight tomorrow...

Man i HATE achievements like this, always dodgy... 1 missing etc. i expected this wouldve been an achievement but it annoys me greatly

I think he was talking about the one in-game, whattheydontwantyoutoknow.com. It has been confirmed that one has one pigeon missing. Gamesradar is definitely the way to go...

Brady Guide is very good for finding every last flying bastard pigeon.

And the pics will probably help you work out which one you've missed.

Yep...I used the strategy guide as well and had no problems at all...besides giving you a location and picture of the rat...it also gives you some hints as well...like whether you need a helo or not etc.

starting over with the gamesradar map. wish there was something that atleast tells you the area where it's at.

it looks like i may be joining this club after searching for pigoens for like 6 hours yesterday i ended with killing pigeon 82. i came back today and long behold in stats it says i only killed 81. after checking in front of the hospital which is where 82 should be its not, so i thought it might be 80/81 and there both gone also. Sofa King did you have the same problem?. i used the map from here in the guide so im not sure if those are the same pigeons if you used a different map (80/81 where at the top of the hostiptal and you had to climb mad stairs to get too)

On my first play through i had the same problem but i was stupid and if i saw a pigeon in a mission or w/e i killed it, was at 90 something percent. i was goin to start over to try and get the liberty city minute achievement so i beat the game again makin sure not to kill any of the damn pigeons, i used the gameradar guide and just made sure the numbers matched up ex: killed pigeon 50 so 150 pigeons left and got them all. i'm guessin the biggest problem is ppl keeping track of what ones they've killed?

No... I simply scratched it when I did 81... I walked out of the hospital one time and BAM!!! there it was

................Sadly it may all be for nothing.... My social club still only shows 91% and its passed the deadline

... I hope R* shows some love

this sucks. 97.5% and im missing one pigeon. i used the gamesradar map, youtube vids and pics to get them, but some how i missed one on the fist 2 islands. my problem is my 360 freezes sometimes and its not hooked up to live so the date is always wrong. it will load the wrong file or something. i would start it, kill a few pigeons, freeze. when i reset the same pigeons were back. also, #23 wasn't there when i went to get it, and its really easy to spot, so i know i didnt miss it. gonna go through 1-71 again, if i cant find a pigeon, i guess i'll have to start over...

edit: also, #39 wasnt there, but i actually drove into the tunnel and might have accidently hit the pigeon with the car. would this lock me out of getting 100%? im gonna try to grenade the area and look around ouside the tunnel, maybe i some how got pushed or something.

Got the last one finally. At first I was thinking it was glitched, but with 200 pigeons I knew I had to goof up somewhere

It was #106 (from the games radar map)

In case anyone has the same problem, the directions had me shoot a bird at the end of the unused broken train track, but in the video, you actually drive up some stairs onto the track, and drive down a bit. It's in the middle of the track, on ground by a column that you can't shoot from the street

im stuck at 199 and im using the Brady guide. I probably marked one off that i didnt get. oh well i going back through to get that little bastard and blow him back to hell where he belongs. lol

I ended up getting two on my grenade/RPG rampage yesterday but have no idea which ones. I'm on the last mission so the hunt begins soon....

bah i got to 199 and was like wtf.....

I went threw the small list TC made of hard to find ones, went back and did a few i didn't remember, then i started doing them in order again. Number 24 on the b-ball net was the one i missed.

200/200 thank god that 10 hour nightmare is over.

Well, I'm gonna sign for now, 199 using gamesradar map so means either a pigeon glitched (is that possible?) or I missed one (more probable but still...199 :/). Back to starting over from square 1, although I crossed out Alderney (last island) since I know I checked every place with gamesradar guide + pics, so just 130ish to check now.

i just had a close one, was doing the first 50 pigeons and all of a sudden it said i had one less thn i did (49 when i had 50). so i went bk and checked the fourties and number 41 spawned again so i got an rpg and blasted the f*****
