I'll start it off, no I'm not old enough.

Is this thread really necessary? Seems kind of pointless to me...How old am I supposed to be?...I don't even think the game has been rated in the US yet.

This is a pointless thread, but I just got the idea from gta4.tv from a poll on that site. And we all know the rating will be M 17+...

Exactly. I mean, I'm only 14, but I'm mature enough to know that it's a game, and that I can't grab a chainsaw in real life and slaughter hundreds of civilians. I've pre-ordered this and cannot wait for it - I feel the same as I did 3 and a half years ago when GTA:SA was about to come out.

I turned 18 last December meaning I wasn't 18 when San Andreas came out and I didn't bought it regardless then.

I am old enough now, but I've played every GTA game so far regardless of age.

It is kinda funny when you think of the graphics from the original were given an 18 rating, yet you can probably get it to play on a mobile phone now without anyone caring.

It's not rated Mature because they think little kids are going to buy rocket launchers and blow up their schools. It's rating Mature for the content that it displays: Graphic sex scenes, Violence, Language, Etc. It's the same reason you can view porn until you are 18+ (US) it's illegal. I wish they would enforce this rule a little more, some kids just can't handle Mature games. Especially online.

And yes I am old enough.

Yes I am old enough to buy my own copy of GTA IV or any other mature rated game. And I agree with murderous apple. It is ridiculous how many kids buy/play the M rated games. It kind of defeats the purpose of the rating system.

In my town you would not be able to get away with buying an M rated game unless you are 17. They ask for I.D. around here. I still get "carded" sometimes. I'm 22 and have a beard lol.

i recon ratetings are put on games just to save their asses just in case of someone complainin then all they have to say is look at the rateting
