Completionist's Nightmare: Beware of these Achievements!
This is a list of achievements that are technically possible, but either incredibly unlikely or unreasonably difficult beyond comprehension. If you want a list of: Glitched Achievements- see this thread by The Pants Party: Click me!
Vision Camera Achievements- see this thread by Creech: Click me. Again!
1.) It is organized in Tiers: T1 being the hardest, T4 being the difficult but achievable. T5 is for the most difficult Arcade games.
2.) The organization is as follows: GAME (link to achievement list is attached) – x360a version of Achievement and description
Notes on the achievement and/or game (from me).
Quotes (if any) from the guide writers themselves.
1.) RAYMAN RAVING RABBIDS -
This can easily be donned the curse of completion. It’s simple: Nobody (that we know of) has achieved this feat. For it, you must get perfect on every level, a task deemed impossible by those who have played the game. Your decision on this is simple: STAY AWAY!
2.) FINAL FANTASY XI - All of these achievements are EXTREMELY time-consuming. Period. Even the most hardcore gamers would be lucky to get 700.
Another game that may as well be a curse upon completionists. For one to complete this game, it is reported that cumulative gameplay will take an entire year to finish. 8760 hours. To add on to this, PlayOnlineViewer will be added to your games played list as a 0, and there is nothing you can do about it.
Like the bomb achievements, any time you break a soft block it will count towards these. The number one hardest acheivement in Act Zero is Block Break 1,000,000. Doing this would take years of grinding the game, because there are only so many soft blocks per level and you cannot create more with power-ups like you can for the bomb achievements. No one in the world has this achievement yet.
4.) GHOST RECON: ADVANCED WARFIGHTER-
Best in the world. Twice. At the same time. Can you do it? Seriously, boosting doesn't even begin to describe the dedication you need to get this achievement.
The guide can only give you tips to boost yourself up by yourself. If you think you're worthy...you're probably not. Still, HERE(clicky) you may find the guide.
5.) QUAKE 4 -
Who's up for getting number 1 in the world...again?? Not only does this game ask you to crack the top ten, but you must also be number one! Need I say more?
The guide describes a way to glitch to this achievement, HOWEVER, in the terms of Marx0r, who is on the Guide Team, I repeat, on the Guide Team:
Quote:
Say number one has X amount of kills, and to reach X you have to boost Y amount of days. Then consider some kid and/or kids whose mom and/or moms did not hug them when they were little didn't stop glitching until they reached 100X. Y becomes non-existent. This happened, making number one that much harder to get.
6.) CHROMEHOUNDS - Between #1 leaderboard achievements and maxing levels on every character, it is evident that most of these achievements are time-consuming to the point of no attainment.

7.) NBA LIVE '07 -
Fact of the matter is try as hard as you want, this achievement has come and gone. It's an '07 game and finding 1000 people to collaboratively get on is simply laughable. I'm not stopping you though...(but please use the Achievement Trading Thread )
1.) DEAD OR ALIVE 4 -
Before you begin this game, there is one question you need to ask yourself: How many controllers are you willing to go through to get these achievements? As poorly as this game's AI was produced, you have to go through 100 enemies all building their AI profile on you until you have the hatred to punt a three-year old child.
Honestly, the guide isn't that helpful, but really all you can do is mix up your moves and combos for 100 straight people! Note my sarcasm! A definite avoid (yes I just made that a noun). 2.) DEAD OR ALIVE XTREME 2 -
Eeeh I don't really know much about this game except that it takes AGES to complete. I mean like hardcore DoAX2 All day every day, for about 5 months. Trust me on this.
3.) RUMBLE ROSES XX -
Most guys are guilty of buying one of these Japanese game for some boobies. If you want to keep your gamercard alive, don't buy this game. The only thing I can really use to convince you is graemelunn's achievement diary here: http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/showthread.php?t=14657
In 64 hours he gained 80 GS. .
RHYTHM:
4.) GUITAR HERO III -
I mean this is plain and simple: Are you a god at Guitar Hero? If not, the chances of you EVER getting 750K are less than barely. You must do nearly perfect on the hardest song ever seen, as well as 5-star classics such as One and Raining Blood. Go for it, Slash.
Maka wishes you all luck. Besides MikeC who is a god walking amongst mere mortals.
5.) GUITAR HERO II -
Although some are gifted, 96% of us will never finish this game. To 1000 this game you have to be near flawless on every song AND beat the second hardest song this world has ever seen.
Sure, people have described simple glitches to achieve one of these, but unless you are a god walking amongst men, we will have to lock you in a room for about 8 months before you could plan on beating this game. Good luck to ya.
6.) ROCK BAND-
Another fantastic musical game, Rock Band has one of the best achievement list out there. But that doesn't mean easiest. The Endless Setlist consists of all 58 launch songs. You have to finish this in one sitting! Also, each instrument must be completed on expert difficulty. The good part is that you will have fun getting these achievments, no matter what .
7+8.) DANCE DANCE REVOLUTION UNIVERSE + DDRU2 -
For the love of God, they are practically the exact same game! Same achievements, almost identical pictures, same Japanese theme, I mean come on! The only problem is you have to be a damn good dancer. As in Dancing on the Stars rather than with them. Not to mention the extra 40 you'll have to pay for a Beat Pad.
9.) KARAOKE REVOLUTION: AMERICAN IDOL ENCORE -
I'm no singer, but without a doubt these are hard. Perfecting every song on the disc sure is hell, but in regards to the 50 million:
If the idea is to list achievements that are very long but still doable, then it should be in. The shortest "full-length" song is 2:17 seconds, plus 30-40 seconds of various loading screens even if you just hit replay song every time, so call it 3 minutes. After doing all the other achievements I had around 11 million points. 100,000 is the perfect score, so 50 mil - 11 mil = 39 mil, divided by 100,000 = 390 songs multiplied by 3 minutes = 1170 minutes = 20 hours...the same song, over and over, a perfect score every time, and it isn't even a very good song. It took me about 20 hours to get the others done, so 40 hours of gameplay, half of which is dedicated to one achievement. Much longer if you sing a variety of the songs (some of which are upwards of 6 minutes) or don't get a perfect score (depends on talent or speaker quality, even on easy).
10.) LOST PLANET -
Take it from me people, if you want 1000 in your choice, STAY AWAY FROM THIS GAME! Completing this game on Extreme is most likely the hardest campaign achievement throughout all games. Also, you must collect 4-6 target markers on every level. Oh yeah, also on EVERY DIFFICULTY. That's around 250 target markers + badasses shooting you in the face. Stay away.
11.) EARTH DEFENSE FORCE 2017 - Well I hear the game is addictive and fun, BUT:
Thanks to Cyrex and Legendtaker117 for the following information:
Quote:
In one play-through, there are 56 levels. To unlock the next highest difficulty, you must beat the difficulty below it (ie Unlock Hard by beating Medium, Medium by beating Easy..). This means 5 play-throughs of 56 levels each = 280 levels. To unlock every weapon, you must collect them on every difficulty including Inferno. There are 171 weapons.
12.) F.E.A.R -
Ah, F.E.A.R. Such an awesome and terrifying game, but I guess the terrifying part can be said of the achievements. You have to play 1000 online games and manage to beat the "Instant Action" maps on Extreme (the hardest). Not only that, but you have to play through the game at least twice doing (or not doing) various things. Ickyyyy!
This guide needs to be re-done.
13.) F.E.A.R FILES -
Alright, so if you read above, you'll see the similarities in the achievements from this game's prequel. However, I included these last two to show you something: a.) You have to kill every in the campaign. b.) THERE'S TWO CAMPAIGNS? AHHHH!
This seems to be a good guide for the Instant Action maps: http://www.xbox360achievements.org/f...ad.php?t=44926
And this is a nice weapon guide for you on the campaigns: http://www.xbox360achievements.org/f...ad.php?t=45028
Visit the FEAR Files board- it's loaded with info.
Getting Producer Points is incredibly time consuming. This is what you do:
-Post clips (you can only do 3 at a time unless you pay with M$ points for the ability to do 6) on EA's servers, which are up some of the time.
-You get points IF someone plays them, but only like 10 points for each individual who does it, meaning you can't really boost them since if the same person plays it 10 times its still just 10 points.
-you then wait EA to remove the clips from the servers before you can add more--this usually takes a few days.
I had a group of about 12 people working on these, and we were able to get the achievement for 1000 after about a month of playing every single day. That means you're posting 3 clips of your own AND playing 33 other clips at a time just to get a few measly points. I gave up after about 3 months on the 5k achievement.
16.) TONY HAWK'S PROVING GROUND - SICK ALL GOALS.
Yes, all goals. Many of us thought TH: Project 8 was rough with 95% sick. There are achievements for getting SICK on every single goal. As if that doesn't make you want to screw a porcupine, you have to play 1000 games. Online.
What guide?
17.) TONY HAWK'S PROJECT 8 -
Ah yes, the classic goals. Do 10 separate tasks in a giving 2 minutes. Wait, 2 minutes?!?! Good lord. A true Tony Hawk player may achieve this, but few of us will. Adding on to this, Rank 1 requires 95% of goals to be done at SICK difficulty AND you must complete a combo across the ENTIRE map. Easy 1000. Ha.
Maka wishes you all luck [again], except for Birky, who may break his skateboard in half and shove it up his bum.
As long as you have no losses, all you need is somebody with a True Skill of 49-50, and let them quit out 10 or so times, and you should get up to 50..
Since I had so many losses, it took me nearly 400 wins, thankfully I had a lot of help from the likes of Pandora, Lonsta, Killer 47, etc. to get me all those wins, lol..

19.) NHL 08 - Well, as it stands, this achievement is quite easy if you an get someone to the Top 50 to play against you. That's the hard part. The Top 50 (from experience) is filled with a bunch of arrogant kids who ignore you and think you're idiotic enough to give you 1000 MS Points before you play the game. DON"T BE THAT GUY! It will probably cost you 5 bucks, but we're completionists. Remember what we stand for .
But the last two achievements are a real bitch. One is for passing every single stage (on each force's side) on the hardest setting which is no easy task. The other one is a total grindfest for getting all characters to level 50. There's 41 characters in the game and you can work on two at a time using the "piggyback leveling method" found in the forums. Even still, it will take 25+ hours after you have 950 to max the rest of the characters out. I could get 3000 GS easy in that amount of time vs. that measly 50 points that I snagged up. lol
1.) GEARS OF WAR -
The infamous "Seriously...". 10,000 kills in ranked matches where only 4 players can be pitted against one another. Months and months of playtime can only grant the hardcore gamer this achievement. Are you that good? Or are you just stupid?
Seriously ...
Kill 10,000 people in versus ranked match total Just as the description says. If you love this game and play it all the time, you will eventually receive this achievement. Probably the most time consuming achievement, and more than likely the last one you will receive out of all the online versus achievements.
2.) PERFECT DARK ZERO -
A launch title, Perfect Dark Zero can only have limited expectations for gameplay. I guess we can also blame the new achievement system for the terrible ones this game consists of, but one idea holds strong: DO NOT PLAY THIS GAME!
a) Completed Solo Dark Agent, Completed Perfect Dark Agent, Played 1000 Deathmatch Games, Played 1000 Darkops Games
b) Completed Solo Dark Agent: Incredibly difficult game with no checkpoints in the levels, even with boss fights. Harder than COD3's Veteran by comparison.
Completed Co-Op Dark Agent: A bit easier than solo, assuming your partner doesn't make it harder for you (which is likely).
Played 1000 Deathmatch Games: An obvious grind, there is not auto match starter, you must press the three or so buttons to start the next game all 1000 times.
Played 1000 Darkops Games: Same as above, with a different name. Fun!
c) Completed Solo Dark Agent: Impossible without extreme skill, with extreme skill would take about 15 hours.
Completed Perfect Dark Agent: Same as above.
Played 1000 Deathmatch/DarkOps Games: Something like 2000 minutes.
3.) RAINBOW SIX VEGAS -
Although not as intimidating as the number 10,000, Elite in Rainbow Six Vegas is no achievement that should be taken lightly. Well, let's just look to the forums for our answer:
Achieve the rank of Elite (675000 exp)
Camo 5: Custom 1, Custom 2, Custom 3

4.) CALL OF DUTY 3-
So it has become clear that Treyarch halted the development of the Call of Duty series by producing number 3. However, they also produce something more evil and hideous: The General Achievement. Due to the current and most-likely lasting lack of play, the achievement will most likely elude you these days.
The concensus in the How Long Did It Take You to Get General? (click) thread, it seemed two months, even with boosting was the typical time. Factor in the lack of play and we are talking upwards of a 1/3 of a year.
5.) BATTLEFIELD: BAD COMPANY -
So I have only played this game once, and personally don't like it, so if you feel I am biased it's understandable. Reports say the game isn't laggy so that shouldn't make 10,002 so bad, but still it's 10,000 kills with no real efficient way that I have seen discovered. The awards, on the other hand, are impossibly difficult and I apologize for that. These are boostable but that doesn't make them impossibly hard. Hence the reason we don't have the achievement picture. Yet.
6.) COMMAND AND CONQUER 3 -
I haven't played this game or any like it, but Mister Moderat0r David Creech has, so take it from him:

7.) HALF LIFE 2: THE ORANGE BOX -
Besides the fact that this game has a measly 99 achievements, we are lucky that only two tend to be extremely challenging. Gold challenges on Portal tend to be the worst. Pertaining to the gnome, this achievement is difficult because you are moving an inanimate and unresponsive object throughout an entire level, just to be launched in to space where he will enjoy absolutely nothing. Why, you ask? BECAUSE HE ISN'T REAL! Still, we are lucky that the achievements are not a lie.
This guy: http://www.youtube.com/user/chadgoulden has some videos, but searching YouTube should get you some more videos for each individual level. Hopefully guide team member Marx0r will eventually have a full set done. "Little Rocket Man" Video is provided in the spoiler.
8.) FORZA MOTORSPORTS 2 -
No matter how fun racing games can be, getting a million of anything is rough. Forza 2 is no exception. Some of you may say, "But Bodangles, you can get 200,000 a race!" Yeah, if you get 7 other people. And you finish the race. And then you boost the 7 others up. That is roughly 35 races total, each taking roughly 45 minutes. That is about 30 hours of straight boosting. Have fun .
The easiest and fastest way to get this achievement is with buddies. 7 of them. All of you need to get into a room, 75 Laps Nissan Speedway. As the race starts, everyone quits except for one person. This person then completes the race (By Himself) and at the end will be rewarded $220,000 for 45 minutes worth of driving in a circle. Rotate the circle of friends until everyone gets it. The fastest car to do this in, is the 1960 Ford Gt, Fully supped (U999).
9.) THE CLUB -
Does anybody else feel like game developers are becoming anti-achievers? As if they could top the happiness we all had for Seriously..., The Club literally one ups E.P.I.C with its No, Seriously... achievement. I mean do it if you must, but I think 10,000 is big enough to realize something's up.

10.) TURNING POINT: FALL OF LIBERTY -
From personal experience, nobody plays this game. NOBODY. You will need a solid boosting party and some time to get this achievement. Mix it in with the shoddy mechanics and movement and you will be in for the long haul.

1.) DEAD RISING -
ALRIGHT! I already know you are yelling at me for putting this down in the lowly 4th tier, but I mean come on. The only difficulty these achievements possess is the extreme amount of time you must input. 14 hours for 7 day and 10 hours for 5 day IN A ROW, 5 for Genocider, and about 20 for Saint. Still, nothing beats killing killed people .
For Saint, this guy has the best videos for the campaign: www.youtube.com/stolisomancer
And this is a great guide for 5-day/7-day: http://dr.newcenstein.com/non-confrontational.html
2.) CRACKDOWN -
Now don't get me wrong, I love this game. Nothing is funner than defying the laws of gravity, but I mean 800 ORBS?!?! Not even a map is that useful (provided we have quite handy ones on the forum ). Still, these achievements are no picnic at all although they are quite satisfying when completed.
3.) GRAND THEFT AUTO IV -
Ahh, yes, Grand Theft Auto. What a great game right? Well beside the game, Rockstar decided to make us bleed blood for our 1000. Auf Weidershein Petrovic makes you win 108 different races and all other ranked gametypes. I don't like this. At all. You have to win EVERY game in both race AND GTA race. I'd rant more, but I have to go! ARGHH!
AWP is best achieved through boosting. Tips for boosting can be found here: http://www.xbox360achievements.org/f...t=72418&page=3
post #67. Requirements for the 100% can be found here: http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/showthread.php?t=70783
I think Blue Dragons achievements for maxing all the classes and characters as well as the one for getting all the items should be up there somewhere. It takes hours upon hours of grinding to get all (i think 8 classes?) to level 99 and then there is no way to boost for EXP outside of battle to get your characters to level 99. Then if you miss an item that you can not find again you will have to redo the entire game. I have finished the game and am up past 60 hours into it and i still only have one of each dragon's classes unlocked with characters in their 60's. I am going to say that those maxing achievements are going to take 100+ hours.

This is why it takes so long, you can farm SP to get the max classes but the most you can get at one time is 2 (4 for a double SP item) and each level is 100 SP to increase after level 50. It takes me prob anywhere between 2-3 hours and sometimes more depending on how low they are to get one class maxed.
5.) BULLETWITCH -
Assholes. What else is there to say? The 5th difficulty, it unlocks only after beating Chaos (the difficulty under it) which only unlocks after completing Hard (the difficulty below it). Assholes!
Our guide does give an extremely helpful walkthrough. It is linked in the title of this along with the achievements.
6.) AMERICAN WASTELAND -
As this game is so fun, it is hard to say something bad about it. But 100% complete is ridiculous! That is around 1000 total gaps to find! Conveniently the game provides a gap list with those you have and those you are missing, but this still isn't something I recommend.
Find all gaps - This is the hard one. You must hit all gaps, either in story mode, free skate, classic, or a mixture of all 3. There are some gaps that you need to get in story mode, in the skate ranch. This is by far the most time-consuming part of the game. For help with the gaps, try http://thps3.net/THAW/.
7.) ASSASSIN'S CREED -
As fun as Assassin's is, any sort of collectibles are annoying as hell. Note that the flags are 100 in every area of the entire map, adding up to about 500 total. Also, the templars tend to be glitchy but doable. This game is VERY DOABLE but still rough.

8.) CALL OF DUTY 4 -
I'll be straight with you: the reason Mile High Club is up here is a result of my inability to handle peer pressure. By far the hardest achievement in Call of Duty 4, you have to clear out an entire two-story plane full of terrorists. And take down an enemy holding the V.I.P hostage. Oh, right, you have to do it in under a minute! Still, although MHC gets frustrating at times, it is no reason for you not to get Call of Duty 4.
If you are having difficulty, search YouTube for videos, or see this helpful thread: http://www.xbox360achievements.org/f...ad.php?t=44549
1.) JOUST-
At the request of Birky, this has been moved to the top of the Arcade "leaderboard". Not only does this game sound like a bitch, legit gamerscores reflect it. Take a gander at MGC and you will see all *account recoveries at the top. x360a is honored to have someone with 160 in this game!
This is only for the "experienced Jouster", and rumors are it is glitched, although an alleged patch has fixed it. I wouln't want to risk it being glitched, though
This achievement it utterly impossible. I'm not even sure if anyone has ever gotten it. The game is simply too difficult to get anywhere near 30ish, let alone 100. There are wayy too many enemies and not enough room to maneuver to get this far in each stage.
3.) BATTLESTAR GALACTICA -
HA! Come on! Battlestar Galactica is supposed to be the new thing? Doubtful. Proven doubtful. This achievement is going to require some dedicated boosting before you consider getting the 200.

4.) BEJEWELED 2 -
Now it may not be your fault for missing that day in school, but YES, that says 280 levels. Rewarded with...10 gamerpoints! YAY!
When you get around to arcade games, Bejeweled 2 belongs up there. The achievement for completing 280 levels in Endless Mode is a grinder's dream. There are 268 people on the in-game leaderboard who have it, and not one spent less than 110 hours in Endless Mode to get it.
Granted, that's the amount of time they "played", so that could include breaks and stuff where they left the controller sitting there, but still ... I'm on 212 with almost 7000 minutes in, and it seems like it's taking a bit over an hour per level.
5.) SWITCHBALL -
Trust me on this. If you have poor coordination, give up now. I have/am played/playing this game, and believe me: it's tough. I hold the number one spot on multiple leaderboards and am top 30 in the game, but not even I can get this achievement. You must be good, smart, and virtually flawless. Contact me if achieved.
These achievements suck. Why? They are pure luck/rigged by technology. The only way to get these (legit, of course) is to play and play and play and play and play. You get it. Royal flushes, straight flushes, and all the top hands take a lot of play time and luck to get, so achieve well, sir.
7.) HEXIC HD -
By the grace of God, we have been gifted with another achievement left completely to fate! Only luck and partial skill will net you this elusive achievement. I mean I don't really know how to explain it beyond that it is EXTREMELY rare to achieve!
By getting all characters to level 99 won't the others come with it?
No, They are completely two different things. You can get your characters to level 99 and not have maxed out one of our classes. Or you can have maxed all of your classes without being at level 99.
I think you could add Saint's Row Kingpin achievement. It takes pretty long to boost it and if you don't you need to practically win every game and play people with higher trueskills to keep ranking up.
What about Vampire Rain? I know there is an achievement for getting rated "A" and above on all missions.
Also, Tenchu Z. There is one for beating the game on the toughest difficulty which isn't a walk in the park. Along with getting 50 ninja 5 ranks.
The only true insane achievement is Now That's Impressive. There are many people out there who can 5 star all of Expert and pass TTFAF. The first time I played Guitar Hero was Christmas Day and I could already beat TTFAF at the end of March.
In addition to the arcade category, put all of the atari re-releases out there. I'm pretty sure nobody in the world has "General" in Battlezone or "Platinum" in Asteroids.
Interesting thread, it makes me kinda proud to have a few of these.
I disagree, however, about the six black pearls in Hexic HD. If you use the master grid system there is no luck involved in the game at all. I could get 6 black pearls in a flower over and over (it would take a long time though).
btw World Series of Poker: Tournament of Champions also has one for getting a royal flush.
Edit: I also forgot to add that for "One Free Bullet" from Orange Box you can get this on easy difficulty with invincibility cheat, not hard at all.

FEAR and FEAR FILES are looking at being deleted. Thoughts? To all of you talking about the 1000 games, I'm pretty sure it isn't up there .
just my two cents: those games are not impossible to beat, even though it takes a very long time to boost those weapon kills (i know, i'm doing them ).
but the extreme achies need a complete dedication, going thru some levels or instant action maps carry the player to a higher dimension, a new level of awareness, i believe.
imho: if cod5 opponents will have fear ones AI, instead of that respawning @[#]ing thing, we'll have THE fps.
Kobe Bryant Dunk-Off35 Defeat Kobe Bryant in a Dunk-Off.
NBA 2K8 - Only 17 people have 1000 in this game on our site and this is the reason why. Most people just quit rather than bother with it. In order to even get Kobe to show up you have to play through a 4 way dunk contest which can take awhile even with 4 human players.
Once the contest is over it is completely random as to whether he shows up or not, it can be Kobe or one of three other players or no one at all. Using the other players in the contest can improve your odds but he still rarely pops up. In twenty events for me he turned up only three times.
Assuming he does show up you then have to beat him. Some people have reported him screwing up and scoring low or not at all, but in my (and most other peoples) experience he will regularly dunk for 80+ points a time meaning you have to pull off some flawless and complicated dunks to beat him. Fail and you have to play through the contest again countless times just for him to turn up again. Good luck.
1000 ranked matches50 Fought 1000 ranked matches
Wartech: Senko no Ronde - I was the only one on the site with this one for a long time (well done Chewy027 for joining me) as it is a pain in the ass to get. The main reason being that pretty much no one owns this game or plays it online. Your only chance of getting this done is finding a boosting partner and even then look forward to a lot of grinding.
Assuming you are playing an opponent that never fights back you can get in 36 games an hour (with loading etc) so you are looking at a solid 30 hours grinding to get this sole achievement. Enjoy.
Retirement Savings Plan40 Earn one billion dollars in total in ranked matches.
Would certainly add this one. For a start you need four players to boost and your list of playing buddies is cut in half straight away by the fact there are incompatible U.S and E.U versions of the game. Then you need to play the right map and memorise it to maximise your money. Assuming you can sort out all of that you are still looking at nearly 30 hours worth of playtime assuming you are raking on at least $16-20 million a game. If you want to go for this legit or in 10 minute games then you can double or triple that time as you'll earn a LOT less money and losing teams have the habit of quitting out. Fun times.
SM3's also has some hardcore collection achievements that you NEED a guide to get. I logged like 100 hours in that game (It's great, shut up) and I only ever came across one token out of like 100.

The infamous NHL 2K7 glitched achievement should be in there (unless I missed it).

Perfect Dark Zero needs to be elaborated on! I know that's a lot of things, but at least give me a quote to throw up there!
Imagine that there was a launch game that was a "sequel" to a very successful game on an early console, and that you had high hopes for it, but sadly, you discovered that it sucked. Badly.
Now imagine that two or three years later, that game is still sitting in your library, no doubt because you can't sell it, even on eBay. You decide you want to knock out some of these achievements.
You have to ask yourself this: is it worth sitting through 1000 games, whether on your own (sometimes with a second controller) or with some valiant compatriots from this very site? Especially when you don't know for sure if you've played 1 or 10 or 100 games? And once you've done that, dare you ask those same people to play 1000 deathmatch games?

Um... Good list, I've actually 1k'd Forza 2 , took about five months to do though. I've also gotten 975 points in Assassin's Creed, the only achievement I'm missing is all flags in the Kingdom. Couldn't find two of them and I looked for a while, finally said forget it. I wonder if there's some kind of glitch that prevents them from showing up at times. Prince of Persia Classic could be argued for this list solely on the, "Beat the Game with one life", achievement or whatever its' called. The other eleven are easy but that one is a pain.
I thought this was a great guide, but i did think that a couple shouldn't have been in this list...
The achievement for firing exactly one bullet in episode 1 for The Orange Box is actually very easy since the gravity gun is available to use... went through episode one in like 4 hours, achievement unlocked... i thought the gnome one was harder cause i didn't know where it was and therefore never unlocked that achievement...
The Assassin's Creed achievement was actually really easy... with a good guide i went through and got all the flags and templars in 5-6 hours... a little time consuming, but easy nonetheless...
But seriously, this is an awesome guide, since some of these games you put on this thread I have thought about getting... thanks for the post
Why is LO on this? Seriously it can be completed in 40 damn hours, if theres gonna be achievements like this then ME should be on this i finished that in 40 hours with all the sub quests done. Plus just completeing GH3 on expert should be added, has anyone ever tried Raining Blood? Ridicilous
Awesome thread, thanks for the hard work. I definently will be referencing here when achievement hunting.

The infamous NHL 2K7 glitched achievement should be in there (unless I missed it).
Glitched achievements go in the other thread, and the NHL 2K7 one is on that list. This one is for achievements that are possible, but painful/difficult/frustrating to get.

Some hard arcade ach's not gonna find quoutes for them though
Zuma- Score Champion
I think you have to beat the entire game without losing a single life
Rush'n Attack- Mad Marine
You have to beat the game 2 times through. This will take perfect memorization of the perfect way to go through the game and you can make very few mistakes or it will mess up everything
Cyberball 2072- super breaker
Only 2 people in the world have done this legit
Prince of Persia- survivor
You'll have to memorize the entire game, can't die once and have to beat the game in under an hour
Also
PGR3- Tournament Qualifier
The Outfit- don't know the name, but the one where you need to win 500 ranked matches
Blue Dragon is actually pretty easy, takes a bit of time, but no real skill involved. Saint's Row should be on there for the Kingpin as well as the other online achievements, also where is Sonic The Hedgehog, not the live arcade game, but the retail, i hear it is next to impossible, along with Tiger Woods 06, the online has completely been disabled, so yeah, actually is impossible.
