Is the achievement pack ever likely to come down in price?

I believe they were 2400 at one point, so it remains to be seen how far it'll continue to drop.

It had better come way the hell down. The price for this is outrageous, especially considering how terrible and dead the multiplayer is. I want the 1250 from this but not about to spend that kind of money for 250 extra achievement points.

I'd like to see it reduced in price - there's just not enough multiplayer games going on for me to justify the price of a MP heavy expansion pack.

I tried to find the multiplayer as well, I got one short lived game and never again. Even Blazing Angels 2 is more active online.

I wish they would bring the price down as 1200 is way to much. I think it should be about 400 personaly. Not many people play stranglehold, so expecting people to pay 1200 is stupid.

Same here, I snagged the game for $13 (counts shipping) on eBay. I'm not paying $15 for any type of expansion. That's beyond crazy. That's just stupid.

I agree that 1200 points, is a rip off. No-one plays the game anyways, even if they dropped the price alot more people would play the game, but only to get the achievements then it would be dead again

They've never lowered the price for DLC for other games. I don't see this being any different. It's grossly overpriced --- but they never lowered the price of the horse armor for Oblivion, either. Not big fans of price drops, apparently.

That's true - but there have been instances of map packs going free after a time period - puts a price reduction in the realms of possibility...

I hope - damn my optimism.

You do need to pay but the achievements are v easy from the DLC.

Just whether you want to pay out for them really. I only go it because a friend had it.

i had the game for 2 months and sold it only ever played 1 online match got 2 online achievements 1200ms points is easy because my friends dad works at microsoft and he bagged me 2 4000 ms point cards

I don't think it's expensive at all. Seeing it at 1200MP does put you off but you're getting 250G from it. If you compare it to Gears of War 2 or Fallout 3 you will see, it's better value for money.

Fallout 3 DLC at 800MP a piece for 350G is double the price for only 100G more. Gears of War 2 is currently on 1425G with both the Snowblind and Combustible Map Packs at 800MP and the Flashback Maps at an extra 400MP if you didn't pre-order.

There is more yet to come from these to games to go up to the limit of 1750G and they are likely to be at 800MP each, whilst it may seem cheaper than Stranglehold, in the long run it costs you more. DLC is a MASSIVE rip off and so far Halo has been the only one worth waiting out for as it actually drops in price.

If DLC is the future for gaming, it needs to improve vastly.

This game is old now. I searched and found NO matches. It sucks that I got it so late. They really should lower the price to try and get people to play it. But to those waiting for a reduction, I wouldn't hold my breath..

Yeah I guess, I do think overall the Live Content is way too overpriced, there's not enough incentive for people to pay even more than the price they paid for the game and then the people who do by the add-ons for achievements or otherwise pay the price (excuse the pun). I know Microsoft need money to keep things running but they are milking us for everything now.

As for Stranglehold, I know the multiplayer is dead but you can always find other players/boosters in the forums and it's still so much fun to play.
