An Achievement without playing?

I picked Kris who has an ELO of 1106. his style is weak openings. I made my first move. Then his move had XX and my bishop automatically moved and then for the next 8 minutes the opponent didn't move a piece and after the countdown, I got achievement.

I'm guessing it was a glitch or does weak opening imply that they don't know how to start a game of chess

Lol. Ya ive seen it take a minute to make a move but never 8.

Kris is actually female - she is a personality from one of the older Chessmaster versions.

"weak opening" means that her opening game is not good: she makes mistakes early. It shouldn't mean what you saw, though. That sounds more like a glitch to me, but hey, you won on time! So it still counts ...

Weird, I had this opponent do the XX move also and the game continued on. I was winning but was not watching the dang clock and ran out of time myself.

Sounds like what happened to me. I think it was even against Kris too. She took a few pieces of mine, I got a few of hers, then I took her queen and she just ran out the clock, voila.

This happened to me in the trial version of the game before i bought it. Hopefully it will happen again.
