Quest mode - totally lost

hi all,

I have search, but cannot find an answer to this.

i started quest mode (having got game today in uk, beat 40 songs first) and went to first area (just pres a, a, a sort of thing), then i start a song, my bar goes all pretty colours, then i get cleared song message, then another song starts, clear that, then another, then another, then another......

i'm not sure what i'm supposed to be doinh, manual is no help, surely quest mode does not have you dancing for like 50 hours straight???

what am i missing please??

When you are finished with the song, press the B-button.

I was going for ages!!!! when it's gone coloured (the bar), then move on yeah!!

can't believe i wasted all that time on it - lol

I am afraid I am still confused over quest mode, the manual does not explain a thing and i can find no information anywhere else! i have read the guide, but this only helps a small amount, still completely lost and very frustrated.

I have studied this with my other half, AND 2 other friends for hours, and not one of us can work out what is going on!!

ok, first of all, i underdtand the dance battle now, dance until you turn the top bar coloured, then your challenge is done. BUt, i keep being offered all sifferent other challenges, when i dance, I hit PERFECT all the way, and the bar is only half way, then the next song loads and the bar has gone to zero again???

I am absolutely pulling my hair out and nearly threw this game out the other night through shear confusion and annnoyance (not having a clue), wouldn'y mind if there was anything i could read to make it clear, but there isn't!!!

is there a guide to quest mode, or can someone explain how to actually play quest mode please? because this is ruining what is potentially a great game for me, i;ve never done DDR before so i don't undertsand what is required in the tournaments, and "lets see you hit 20" and "get your fan base to XXX", or backup dancers etc etc, so i'm at a sticking point, like i said, i can do no more than hit a perfect song with loads of combos etc, and i can't progress, tried diff difficulties too.

ANYTHING explained at this point would be great, as i'm near breaking point!!!

once you get your head round the fact that the majority of it is random and that the game forces you to fly over destinations repeatedly in the hope of power ups you'll be fine

i've got 2 crowns left in what i hope is the final championship...and 5 songs left which are random events (i hate refreshing waiting for an envelope to appear....after you've got your 8 back up dancers etc)

my top fanbase WITH 8 dancers is now 1759 using maximizer on basic. love that song. i find the unlockable songs are a lot better to use for fanbase.
