I need some help with the level, after I get to the part where there is a platform, which is attached to an elevator with a ladder on it, i cannot get past that part. any help?

I see you've figured it out but I think I should reply anyway to anyone who clicks this to find out how, basically you go where the rebar sticks out of the concrete pipes to your left as you enter this area and go up the ladder there, then keep following this path until you reach a stove sitting up on this platform, push it off with your body so it lands in the elevator, then jump down and pull the lever, done.

yep and an obvious hint. you jump off it with your airboat.
