After that, move up the bridge, go to ExoGeni, find Lizbeth, return to the colony. Now, either upgrade your grenades with the Thorian gas or kill them all. Now, if you kill them and didn't do the side quests, you will NEVER complete them. After that, head to the boss and kill him.

CONTAINS SPOILERS!!!

Virmire is the planet you receive from the Council. First, you land, clear the AA guns and approach the Salarian Camp. You can get the Charm/Intimidate on Wrex, who will want to get the cure for the Genophage. Don't worry if you don't have it maxed out, there's another chance later in the game. Now, choose between Kaidan or Ashley to go with the Salarians. Spoiler: Later in the battle, you will have to choose who to save. IF one dies and you're doing the romantic sub plot with that character, it will end there.

Then, activate the power and landlines. Once in the tram, you must kill the Rachni, but first go down the elevator to where the survivors are at, get the pass, and to the hot labs. Activate the Purge and get out. Return to the survivors,

Kill them. Go to the end of the place, and go to the tunnels. Find the Matriarch. To kill her, you MUST kill the Geth and Asari Commandos. DO NOT FIGHT HER. Press start and change the difficulty BEFORE LANDING on Eden Prime.

Pistol Expert

10http://xbox360achievements.org/images/site/gp-g.jpgRegister 150 Pistol Kills

Alright, start with the pistol, since it's the hardest weapon to get kills and the weakest if not upgraded. Register 150 kills, do side quests, for more enemies. Don't worry, kills carry one through careers. Also, YOU must make the kills, your allies can't help you here. Make sure you level the weapon up for more damage. Also, be realistic, if you haven't leveled your gun up and you're facing a Krogan, switch weapons.

Shotgun Expert

15http://xbox360achievements.org/images/site/gp-g.jpgRegister 150 Shotgun Kills

Leave the shotgun for last, or third, if you want. Upgrade the weapon for more damage. Now you ask, why for last? In the last missions, enemies will be close together, and with a high level shotgun, you can basically snipe them. IF you don't get the 150 kills, don't worry, they carry on to the next career. YOU MUST do the kills, ally kills will NOT count.

Assault Rifle Expert

15http://xbox360achievements.org/images/site/gp-g.jpgRegister 150 Assault Rifle Kills

This should be the weapon you use the most in the game. Once it is fully powered, you can destroy Geth Colossus and Gun turrets with the over kill power up. Again, they carry on to the next play through. YOU must make the kills, ally kills will NOT count.

Sniper Expert

15http://xbox360achievements.org/images/site/gp-g.jpgRegister 150 Sniper Rifle Kills

This is the most annoying weapon in the game. If you're not level up, it will be hard to get kills with this. Make sure this is your first or second weapon you use, since its hard. YOU must make the kills, ally kills will NOT count.

Lift Mastery

15http://xbox360achievements.org/images/site/gp-g.jpgUse biotic Lift 75 times

First off, make a biotic character. The following Powers can be unlocked against no targets: Barrier. Stasis, Trow, and Warp can be unlocked using them against the Mako. Lastly, lift and singularity can be used against the Citadel Transport Terminals. Don't worry, they carry over to the next game.

Damping Specialist

15http://xbox360achievements.org/images/site/gp-g.jpgUse Damping Field 75 times

Make an engineer class. Overloard, Damping, and Sabotage can be unlocked by casting them on no targets. Neural Shock can be unlocked by casting it on the Mako. AI hacking can be unlocked by casting it in enemy synthetics. For a quicker way, make a save before fighting Fist. Cast AI hacking on the turrets, and reload the game.

Completionist

25http://xbox360achievements.org/images/site/gp-g.jpgComplete the majority of the game

By majority of the game, they mean an undefined amount of the game. I recommend that you choose two characters and go with them till the end. Try to not start a side quest without the characters you want. There around 70 side quests including the main quest ones. So, make sure you do around 60 of them before Ilos. IF you haven't gotten the achievement after that, then you should try exploring the galaxy and doing more quests. Remember to talk with allies in order to generate more side quests. Remember, you might get more quests than what is on the list, but I did the amount of quests on the list below and got the achievement.

NOTE: I got completionist and both ally achievements by doing ALL side quests[not including Styx Theta Cluster ones, which are two] and completing the three main planets. Should be noted that I got the last ally Garus right when......MASSIVE, UBER SPOILER!!!!!!!!

25http://xbox360achievements.org/images/site/gp-g.jpgComplete playthrough with shield damage greater than health damage

Simply complete the game with YOU having more shield damage than health damage. Take cover often, not much else I can say. You should get it on easy. Don't be a hero, take things slow and take cover. Let your allies do most of the work.

Medal of Exploration

50http://xbox360achievements.org/images/site/gp-g.jpgLand on an uncharted world

Explore the galaxy! I believe I got this when I landed on the moon/planet that has Major Kyle. Don't worry, you'll eventually land on a planet that you need to do a side quest on.

Rich

25http://xbox360achievements.org/images/site/gp-g.jpgExceed 1,000,000 Credits

Yes, credits carry on to the next game. Do all side quests. You get more money being Renegade, push for more credits, sell stuff. You can either save the money in your first play through in order to buy the Spectre Master gear quickly or save it for the second play through. Up to you. Or, you could: Go to the medics ward and complete the side quest for dr. chloe michelle (the one where you have to stop the krogan from blackmailing her) after you have completed this she should say that she is giving you a discount on all products as repayment for completing the quest, sell all your things to her (other than the things you have equiped) and then go the upper market and visit the stall owner Expat (he is the stall nearest to the top of the stairs) talk to him and view his items he is selling go left until you come to the menu option buyback. You should see all the items that you sold to dr. chloe michelle for half the price you sold them at, buy back these items and repeat the process of selling them and buying back.

^Thanks to Vallancian for the Dr. Chloe method.

Dog of War

25http://xbox360achievements.org/images/site/gp-g.jpgRegister 150 organic enemy kills

Add the Shredder bullet upgrade to your weapon and allied weapons. Kill anything that is NOT Geth. You'll get it eventually. Yes, they carry one. Do side quests. The Cerberus missions have a lot of mercenaries. Go to the Styx Theta Cluster, you can easily get more than fifty organic kills against the Rachni.

Geth Hunter

25http://xbox360achievements.org/images/site/gp-g.jpgRegister 250 Synthetic enemy kills

Add the Tungsten upgrade to your weapon. By Synthetic, they mean Geth. IF you don't get this by Virmire, don't worry. The last mission has A LOT of Geth. Do side quests, there are plenty of Geth Ambushes in the beacons.

Soldier Ally

20http://xbox360achievements.org/images/site/gp-g.jpgComplete the majority of the game with the Alliance soldier squad member

Power Gamer

20http://xbox360achievements.org/images/site/gp-g.jpgReach 50th level with one character

Do a lot of side quests. If you do them all, by the first play through you'll probably get to level 40. There is a glitch that only gives you X amount of xp every time, but to do it: Find Liara when SHE IS TRAPPED IN THE BLUE FIELD! Kill the enemies, save, then load the save. Congrats, you got 300 points! I would only recommend that in the early levels. Also, make sure that when on the Mako to kill enemies on foot, not with the Mako, you'll get more experience that way.

Extreme Power Gamer

50http://xbox360achievements.org/images/site/gp-g.jpgReach 60th level with one character

YOU MUST FINISH THE GAME ONCE in order to unlock levels 51-60. In total, you will need: 862100 experience points to reach level 60. Do ALL side quests, and it is most likely that you will get this at the end of your second way through or third. Also, make sure that when on the Mako to kill enemies on foot, not with the Mako, you'll get more experience that way. Use your first profile, new game, existing ID and make sure its a higher difficulty.

Renegade

15http://xbox360achievements.org/images/site/gp-g.jpgAccumulate 75% of total Renegade points

See Paragon.

Paragon

15http://xbox360achievements.org/images/site/gp-g.jpgAccumulate 75% of total Paragon points

Paragon and Renegade are the equivalent of Light Side and Dark Side, or Good and bad. Paragon choices are on the top left or right, or blue. While Renegade are the opposite. You can do both. First do one, and then the other. There is a glitch to get more points:

On Noveria, when you are given the oppurtunity to accept the assignment from Lorik Qui'in to get the evidence to catch the Salarian (Anoleis, the administrator guy who has his own office) in his rend-based scandal, agree to it. He will open up the shut-down elevator, go down there and get the evidence. Upon exiting to go back to him you will run into Gianna (receptionist lady) talk to her then go meet her in the hotel/bar, she will ask you to get him to agree into turning Anoleis in, agree and go talk to Lorik Qui'in. Talk to him, choose the following options :

(Top Right) Testify against Anoleis

*Paragon or Renegade point choice, this is where the

6 in charm/intimidation comes into play*

(Top Left) {Paragon} You'd be a hero

(Bottom Left) {Renegade} Damn right I will

Talk to him again :

(Left) Matriarch Benezia

(Bottom Right) Another Question

(Top Left) Testify against Anoleis

*Paragon or Renegade point choice

Repeat the Matriarch Benezia steps to keep getting +25 point's, keep doing it untill achievement unlocks.

^ Thanks to Gprime for better explaining.

Paramour

10http://xbox360achievements.org/images/site/gp-g.jpgComplete any romance subplot

You can do this with: Kaidan, Ashley, and Liara. Talk with them after every main plot event. Choose the top dialog. Don't worry if you try to get Ashley and Liara they will confront you and you have to choose one of them. Don't worry, if you choose both[like I did] you'll still get Liara. Once you finish the three planets, and reach the Citadel, you will be close to kissing, and when heading to Ilos, you seal the deal.

Spectre Inductee

15http://xbox360achievements.org/images/site/gp-g.jpgBecome a Spectre

This is a main quest achievement. When you arrive at the Citadel, you'll be given a task. Prove that Saren is evil. Talk with Harkin, find Garus, then bring down Fist. After that, you need to save Tali, and with her evidence, you become a Spectre.

Charismatic

10http://xbox360achievements.org/images/site/gp-g.jpgUse Charm or Intimidate to resolve an impossible situation

CONTAINS SPOILER!!

You get two chances to do this. The first is on Virmire, where you either intimidate or charm Wrex into calming down and NOT taking action. The other chance is in the end where you intimidate or charm

MAJOR SPOILER!

SPOILER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Convince Saren into suicide.

You NEED to max out either one, or else you will fail.

^ DOES NOT work on Hardcore or Insane!

Search and Rescue

10http://xbox360achievements.org/images/site/gp-g.jpgLocate Dr. T’Soni in the Artemis Tau cluster

She's in the Artemis Tau Cluster. Knossos system, and on the only planet you can land on. Drive the Mako till you reach the tunnels. Go down the elevator, and you'll find her, trapped in a force field. Kill the enemies, and activate the laser. Enter the newly made hole, use the elevator, and kill the Krogan.

Colonial Savior

50http://xbox360achievements.org/images/site/gp-g.jpgYou completed the Bring Down the Sky mission.

First, waste the money and buy the Downloadable Content. Start up your game and locate the new system and the comet. You'll need to deactivate 4 thrusters. Go in, to each one, kill the Salarians, and deactivate the thurster. After deactivating all four of them, head to the main building. Now kill EVERYTHING that moves, and head to the middle. You'll be given a choice to either save the colonists and let the Salarian go, or kill the Salarian and the colonists die. I chose to save the colonists[not sure if you get the achievement if you let them die]. Kill the enemies and defuse the bomb.

Hey small great guide one small thing; character class and attribute must have a huge impact on combat because it take three sniper shots to kill me on hardcore diff, (one takes shields, two take 2/3rds of life 3rd dead ) and Im only level 48, infiltrator specialized in commando.

I actually noticed this. Right now I'm on insane, but I can survive two shots. When I posted the Hardcore thing, I didn't have any good equipment or updated anything. I've been using a soldier the whole time, so I don't know who it works for other classes.

Hey man, just one thing....when you get the marksman ability pistol becomes insanely easy to use, especially as an infiltrater as putting points in their class specialization reduces heat build up.I took out benezia and two commandos last night by just using advanced marksman and have only like, four points in infiltrater.I find he sniper hardest to use as I end up in close combat a lot....Oh and by the way....yes.I have killed a krogan with my pistol...WITHOUT using powers ^_^

Suck on that one you cowards!I took out korgans with a pistol!

Yes, I noticed that it can be done. But, I didn't level up the pistol at all. I focused on other things, and I do believe it's best to get the pistol out of the way early. I died a lot by Krogans in the game.

im gonna get the game next week...so i have a couple questions......how often can u save the game?

and about those achievements that u need a chracter with biotic achievements...can these be done with soldier??

FAQ or Game Info Threads would have been more appropriate.

You can save the game at any time you are playing (not during cut scenes, dialogue, or loading screens). To get all the achievements, you will need at least 3 playthroughs and will also need to play with different character classes. The biotic achievements should be done with a biotic character although you don't have to beat the game using them. Soldiers are limited with their "powers" they mostly use guns and have no biotic or tech abilities.

Yes, it would be nice to sticky this because you did an amazing job, like The Pants Party always does. Thanks a lot ;)

I have a small but important question, and I will try it here not to make a Topic about it : what is according to you the best character I should make and the best team I should take with me on my first playtrough, so I could keep them for Hardcore and Insanity difficulties ? In short : what is the greater team I could make from the start ? Just bought the game, starting tonight.

Thanks guys :Bounce:

I think you should not worry about the best team you can make just yet and concentrate on unlocking the expert/master/specialist achievements and also the teammate achievements. Once you get those you will not only be familiar with the powers but also familar with teammates. In addition, you will also be able to make a strong character to start off with using the unlock bonuses.

On the Renegade/Paragon part, it's completely feasible to max both out in one playthrough. Start up Paragon and reach Noveria, use the trick to max out Paragon. You shouldn't have any Intimidate yet even. Then once you get the UNC: Data Module quest to go to Eletania, go on a monkey massacre. 4 Renegade points per monkey. A winrar is you.

Best team? I passed Hardcore as a soldier with Ashley and Garrus. However, now playing on Insane, I'm a soldier and using Wrex with Kaidan. I must say: Kaidan seems like a wuss[he is], but his biotics are awesome, and Wrex helps out so much. It really comes down to what equipment you have on them too. Garrus, who sucks at close combat[at least for me], had the best turian equipment I found and Spectre Gear and he ownd.

so the soldier(which i should begin using for what ive read here in this site)has no biotics/tech abilities right?

so after i finish the game 3 times with soldier and get most of the achievments.....to get the rest of the biotics/tech achievments ill have to pick another class right?

with which class can i do it at once?

how long will it take(if i use the ablilities in nothing) to get the achievements with this class?

do i start already with all the ablilities I need to get these achievements if i pick the right class?

Supposedly you can get all the weapon achivements in one play. It was also reported that the biotic and tech achievements don't need to hit anyone, just using them counts. No class starts out able to use all of thier abilities, you have to unlock them by putting points into other skills. The only estimate I have heard was one hour to stand around in the city and cast to get each achievement. It would be best to use an engineer to get the tech ones and adept to get the biotic ones.

Casting the abilities at a wall could take a long time, or it could be quick. If you have a good implant/omnitool, armor upgrades that reduce cool down, high level abilities (less cool down), and an ability like adrenalin boost (resets all cool downs), I think you could knock out 75 casts in just a few minutes. But if you're looking to not play the character (i.e. not upgrade these abilities and buy good equipment), it's probably gonna take a really long time. Good luck though.

Personally, with my Vanguard and Infiltrator I've already got most of these achievements (except 2 biotics, 2 techs, medigel). Not really sure how I'm going to get those... but I'll let you know if I come up with anything clever :-)

Yeah, that's why I missed it on my first play (Vanguard, Normal), although I did get Tactician :-)

Now that I'm going through as Infiltrator on Hardcore, I'm trying to use medigels whenever possible. It helps that this time I'm using Liara, so I get the shorter medigel cooldowns. Hey, does anyone know if a high cooldown bonus on omnitools or armor reduces the first aid cooldown?
