Game Glitch(a real glitch, not a memory glitch)

Once i am chasing robert de sable and reach arsuf, the glitches happens where you come to 3 archers on your right looking down the cliffside and there are 2 more archers to your left high above on a rock. When i run by these archers Altair falls through the map(the floor) and and then dies after a freefall of about 5 seconds. Once i respawn there are 2 altairs. I am able to make it to where the X is on the map where robert de sable is supposed to be but i am unable to kill anyone, not for lack of skill bjt the game wont let me kill anyone. ANYONE ELSE HAVING THIS PROBLEM???? I thought it might be the disc so i had my bro bring his copy over and his copy did the same thing. Help me please!!!!!

Took my hard drive to my bro's house and i was able to get past that part without glitches, must be my 360.

I have the glitch also, I've tried to use two separate assassin's creed discs with the same savefile and it still doesnt work.

ive also tried clearing my cache, which didnt work either.

you arent the only person with this glitch, and its f'ing horrible :|

Well im not too certain but from what i read in your post the culprit is most likely laser related. You played it on another 360 and it worked fine but when your bro brought his over to your 360 it did the same? yeah, its the laser that dying out on ya. Do you have this on alot of sandbox type games?
(open world games which render as you enter the area)
Things like objects appearing late or not at all, mountains looking half cut or not finished rendering.

Might just be a simple lens cleaning thats needed. if you have that problem with other games besides Assassin's Creed, i recommend cleaning with a good brand dvd cleaner (cheap brand will only mess up your lens) or you can open the console casing and do it manually .

(WARNING!: Will void warrenty if opened! Only recommended for those who know what they are doing!) If this route is way you want to go, PM me and i have tons of info that can help you

when I got through that part I didn't experience that glitch at all... must be one of those rare glitches? but if at least two people have gotten it so far then I dunno... fortuantely for me I was fine.

i encountered a similar glitch in Masyaf my first time playing. I was running around the roofs just trying to get the controls down and when I came up to a wall I fell through the floor and fell for quite a ways until I died. As soon as I died up pop Achievement Unlocked message for killing 100 soldiers yet I hadn't killed 1. I was able to duplicate it also. Pretty weird.

I'm having the same glitch as Jedi Jawa and Davi. This pretty much falls under the bullshit category. Isn't this the EXACT reason you have testers? Does anyone know a way to fix it yet?

Sorry about the double post but people might miss it if i didn't... I guess one cause for it is a second controller hooked up. i had my guitar on player 2 (has been forever) so i turned off the xbox unplugged it, and tried again, and it works fine now. hope it works for you.

believe me it works..
i only hear people tell about this when they have 2 controllers connected to the xbox...
when they pull it out.. no more trouble's

I get this problem when I play morrowind on the computer... of course... it is morrowind...

Hi everyone,

I had the same glitch too yesterday evening.
I managed to go through the level by killing enemies with counter attacks (hold RT and press X).
Hopefully, the second Altair disappeared when I met the Boss and I managed to deal with him easily.
I had other glitches or freezing playing this game, but this one was really annoying.

i no its a different glitch, but i was on a rooftop, and for some reason a guard just shot up into the air! he then dissapeared. has anyone else seen this?????????

I just started the game and killed the first guy then i restarted it by accident and now it wont let me finish the tutorial, every time i finish the tutorial as it loads the most stable memory it freezes and says unreadable disc error but the music still goes on in the background. Same part every time.

I kept getting unreadable disc errors. Clean every spec of dust and marks off the disc and problem goes away again or at least in my case

i had the same thing happen this afternoon , but it was at the gates of Damascus . right before you first get to blend w/the scholars , i decided to kill all the guards outside first . i was on horseback fighting this guy and bam ! i fell thru the map and landed hard , killing my guy and then the achev popped ! 100 guards w/out dieing . i just laughed cuz i had been pwned a bunch of times trying to kill everyone i saw on the road from masyaf . weird !

I know this is an old thread, but I just wanted to say thanks for the info here. I just got a second guitar controller (wired version), and two days later was able to borrow this game from a friend. I definitely won't be leaving the guitar plugged in while playing this now!
