360 vs ps3?

in my oppinion 360 owns the ps3. i dont know why they even tried to compare the 2 when it was obvious the 360 would win...

i may be biased. so you guys tell me which one you think has better quality graphics

hmm PS3 version is smoother and less blocky then the 360. But 360 has better kontrast. But think you can get better kontrast then in that clip by tweeking tv or game settings so because of that and the more blocky screens I go with the PS3 ver.

It's tight but I think the PS3 version slightly looks better in some instances but so does the 360. It's a tie for me. They both have equal faults in certain sections.

360 FTW. Mainly because the 360 has achievements (not sure if PS3 has anything like this) but thats the main reason, plus i love the 360 and im not a Playstation fan anymore.

There are articles that say the Ps3's framerate is less than the 360's. Here's one from a site where the editors are basically Ps3 fanboys.

the smoke effects on the 360 look sterile. but overall the 360 looks amazing. havent really seen the gameplay on the ps3.

This is a 360 board. Which system did you think would be most favored? lol! Anyway, I won't vote since I haven't played the PS3 version. Maybe after I watch a few videos I'll be able to tell. But, according to most websites each version has their pluses and minuses.

Oh come on lads, they're almost bloody identical minus the odd bit of tearing. Textures are the same as far as i know, both apparently suffer from the odd frame drop, all the poly counts are identical, AA is the same... the PS3 capture seems to be suffering from a higher contrast or some such, probably more to do with the lads capturing rather than the native output itself but i could be wrong.

A slight difference, sure, but if anyone goes so far as to say the 360 version looks INSANELY BESTER i'll have to roffle.

The only things differentiating the two games in my opinion are achievements and the controller, both of which the 360 obviously wins.

Now, if you were comparing texture quality between the COD4 releases, that'd be a different matter altogether...

mos def the 360. Even though ps3 has the fancy cell processor and bluray capablilty It still has not made any impressive games to date. They look ok but not up to the standards that 360 has.

like when they zoomed in on his face i couldnt make out his eye on the PS3 but i could see in fine on the 360
the picture on the PS3 seemed foggy or fuzzy to me, that could be the contrast or something

Irate PlayStation 3 owners are reporting a host of technical problems with their copies of Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed, writing of frame rate problems, screen tearing, geometry clipping and game-stopping lock ups on the official game forums. Most reports from those affected by "white screens of death" are writing that they're using firmware 2.0, specifying so at the request of official Ubisoft forum managers. In addition to a thread dedicated to the PS3's freezing issues, a consolidated bug/glitch thread is currently receiving plenty of responses. Similar postings have appeared on the official PlayStation 3 and Gamespot forums, with a few Kotaku tipsters warning us of the game's graphical and loading glitches. We're waiting to hear further information from Ubisoft, but would urge caution and research for potential Assassin's Creed buyers.

Clearly you haven't played Warhawk or Ratchet and Clank then.

Ratchet and Clank exceeds every platformer that has been released on the 360 (which isn't many ). And Warhawk is definitely up to 360 standards, its nothing groundbreaking but it sure is fun.

As far as Assassins Creed goes, I'm swaying towards the PS3. I've heard a few reports that the 360 looks better but the game runs a few frames per second quicker on PS3 (then again there are some reports that say the opposite). I'll take whichever it runs better on, it's going to be graphically stunning on either system. If I hadn't imported a Dual Shock 3 then the 360 would have had an advantage due to rumble.

TBH tho I wouldn't use this poll to base the decision on at all. It's going to have a huge bias due to this being a 360 site and only a handful of people here actually have a PS3 as well as 360.

ok so you tell me that over all Ratchet and Clank is better than Bio Shock, Gears of Wars and Mass Effect keep you child games child. PS I have PS3 and I play my Wii more. The PS3 has what 3 good games and that is it I am a gamer I like to play games not stare at my Ps3 for weeks without nothing to play.
