first of all don't use Monster McQueen .. use him as the regular race car .. to do a super jump flick your left thumbstick back then up to do a jump even on solid ground .. you can also do this off any jumps .. try that out thats the only way to get to that spot.

question where u said that tire is on a ledge do u have to go in a tunnel to get the big jump off or ?

This game is driving me nuts! I have completed everything except for capturing all of the wheels - I am missing 1! I looked at all the places on the maps (which are SWEET by the way - THANKS!) But I am still missing one.

Then I noticed that the Ornament Valley map only has 23 wheels on it? Or did I mis-count? If anyone found a wheel that is not listed on that map - can you let me know where it is?

You will get the metal detector as you progress through the story .. you can't miss it !

My son is having the same problem. He is searching radiator springs for one now.

I know the maps only have 31 Wheel Sets Marked .. i double checked Ornament Valley for the maps and All of them are there, there is no Wheel sets in Radiator Springs i know that for sure and i Know i have all of them Marked on Tailfin Pass .. I think you get one in the Cut Scene when you first enter Ornament valley .. if your missing one check the spots marked on the Map again to make sure you didn't miss one .. The only hard one is the one up on the ledge in Tailfin pass. If someone comes across one not marked please let a fella know cause i will update the pictures , but i am sure i marked them all even if only 31 are marked on the Maps.

Na, i think you had them all. We found the last one in Ornament Valley. What messed us up is he collected a bunch of them before we even decided to check this site. We just overlooked one. I think you are right about them all being on the map that you provided but i cannot be positive about it cause my son cleaned up a bunch right off the bat. Great guide by the way, very much appreciated.

you get the Metal Detector before even opening up ornament valley .. i don't think you did everything then if your done the Story and never got the Metal Detector .. you can complete the game without doing eveything keep doing the white dots in Radiator Springs and you will come across it !

Great maps Number Uno - wish we'd have had something like that 4 the first game, would've made the postcard hunt a bit quicker. Will definitely be using these when the game arrives in the UK.

it is in radiator springs. you have to go to the icon in front of maters. it is the event called i want to be a monster too. can do it in the first 10 minutes of the game

We have made it to Ornament Valley, but have come back over to radiator springs to look for the other parts to Monster Mcqueen. I cannot seem to find a part, we have 2 of the 3 and have looked where the maps show.

Still also have not found the metal detector yet either. We are winning races and advancing the story, but are having a little difficulty finding everything.

Its there i guess the hosting site i am using is having issues .. thats the problem with hosting the images on another site.

To find items drive your car to the general area (check on your map to make sure your car is in the right spot) then look around the general area and you should find them no problem.

Are you using the thumb stick to jump off the jump or are you still in Monster mc Queen mode ?

yeah you have to do the thumbstick flick and full boost when going off that big jump to even get up on that ledge.

Having problems with metal detector. I've picked it up, I guess you turn it on by using LB and I go to the general area where the Monster truck part should be and I've found nothing. Do you need to be a monster truck while look for these? Any help would be great.

well once you get the detector you will be able to follow the path to the spot the part is and as soon as your over it you have to press a button when your on top of it to uncover it ! sorry but i can't remember what button it was that you have to press to uncover the parts.
