Yes I'm fairly certain it's possible. If you go south from Goodsprings, then along the road to the east at the bottom of the map, then north up the far eastern road, you can get to Camp Golf at level 1 to do the power leveling glitch and get to level 30 before even starting the main story.

I think you can go west from camp golf on the main highway and get to the Strip without encountering any Deathclaws (assuming that's what you're trying to avoid). They lurk on the road that comes up from south of the strip, but the road east of the strip that goes over to where Camp Golf is doesn't have any of them iirc.

If you want detailed instructions on how to get to camp golf at level 1 shoot me a pm with your email address and I'll copy/paste it from my walkthrough that I wrote for another site. It hasn't been published there yet or I'd link you to it.

Getting to the strip at level 1 isn't that hard.

I did it by going through sloan while avoiding the deathclaws.
There are two ways to get inside the strip.
Either by stealing NCR armor and using the train. or by gambling and gaining enough money at the atomic wrangler to pass the securitrons.

You should be able to get into the strip with about 20-30xp.

Then comes the part of getting banned from all the casinos.
I'm not entirely sure if you can do this because you will probably get xp by doing the gambling challenges (Play 10 times).

I think it's possible to get banned from all casinos if you're able to win a lot of money by playing roulette. Without completing the challenge.

Start the game on the easiest difficulty and have your character build be a female and make sure you take the Black Widow Perk.

Leave Good Springs for Primm (avoid the Powder Gangers) and in the NCR camp there is a set of NCR armor you can take out of one of the unoccupied tents.

Run, and I mean run, through Hidden Valley and then Scorpion Gulch (this is the only really hairy part, honestly, but a lot less dangerous than avoiding Deathclaws - run your ass off) and when you come out on the other side, make your way up to the 188 Trading Post and pick up Veronica. Now she can kill pretty much anything that threatens you.

Run over to Camp McCarran, don your NCR armor and board the Monorail which takes you right to the Strip free of charge. Find Benny. Seduce him and then kill him in his sleep, you'll get enough XP for like 7 levels (so if you have to be level 1, this might not work for you) and I believe he's got about 250 caps on him.

Then go down to the casinos and be sure to save before playing any game (so you can reload if you lose) and after you earn any winnings.

Incidentally, if you stop at the El Doroado Substation on your way to the 188 Trading Post, by the time you get to the strip, you're damn near able to finish the game. Especially if you side with Yes Man.

What I'm getting at is that this is a great start to getting the Hardcore achievement in roughly 2.5 hours...

This is one way to get to the strip. The NCR armor is really the safest way to get into the strip.

On a side note: Avoiding the deathclaw isn't really that hard, there is a way to avoid them really easy.
They won't be able to get you but instead they will run the opposite way. This happens if you stick to the right as you soon as you leave sloan. if you stick to the right. You can jump and walk on some rocks where they can't find you. Or just wait since the walk away from you.
If you walk past black mountain avoiding neil's shack and you then continue to hug the rocks you will be able to really the ranger safehouse safely

But oke the methode above will definitely work if you want to get to the strip at a really low level.

But if you want to stay lvl 1
I suggest to avoid as many places as possible don't take veronica with you and once you have the black widow perk you'd probably won't be lvl 1 anymore.

If you need money for gambling. You could just search through goodsprings or other places you might run into and sell them somewhere.
Or play a couple of caravan game in goodspring for some caps.

I remember when I created a new character with max luck just to get this achievement so I ran straight there with not many problems, the most time consuming part was when I was running around just outside New Vegas killing everything I could just to raise the money to gain entry but all in all it wasn't too bad.

Edit: I was a little spooked by having to cross paths with the deathclaws but I ran as far away from them as I could so when they finally did give chase I had the advantage of being further away.

Someone told me that you have to max at gambiling,win a bunch of times in every casino to get the achivement. He said killing to get banned will not get you the achivement.

Either way I'm at level 10/10 for Luck and wearing the Naughty nightly Pagamas (That outfit has a 1 Luck. It can be bought at Mick and Ralphs in Freeside for like 200 caps)

With 11 Luck I was winning almost every game of Black Jack with every time the max bet.
Save often and you are good to go. I got the achivement very fast. Ignore Slots and Roulette and just play alot of Black Jack for the achivement.

Having a high luck can help get the achievement faster. Yes there is a way you can run from the start of the game and get past all the death claws. Can look up a youtube video and see.
