Do enemies scale as you level?
Just wondering, say lets say I grinded out some skills (such as smithing, enchanting and lockpicking etc) and gained a few levels because of it. Do enemies abilities such as damage / hp etc etc go up along with it too?
I know that I would be gaining either hp / magicka and stamina but would the lack of combat skills make it tougher for me to defeat enemies at a higher level and would it even matter if playing on novice? |

but yeah, enemies scale as you level up, you won't notice it though, or at least not to the extent where your game will be affected.

To put it simply: yes they do.
As your character gains levels the enemies you encounter grow stronger. The HP/damage they inflict doesn't increase as such, but the class of enemy improves meaning they will have better weapons and armor. This doesn't apply with every enemy. I.E Most normal animals do not improve like on a beach full of mudcrabs, they will remain just as weak. |

It is also notable that revisited cleared areas will eventually reset with higher level enemies, EXAMPLE:
Revisiting a dragon mound that had just one Blood Dragon might have an Elder Dragon the second time, and an Ancient Dragon the third go. The same goes with loot.

Enemies sound like they're proposing a challenge. Bring it on!

As an archer level 100 i can tell when it take more than a few arrows to down some enemies. That's how i know they've scaled.
