Back to the old school

Im just wondering what people think to taking the series back to the world war setting ??
i loved the older games and like alot of others wanted a more modern game but now im longing for the simplistic times again even if its:
treyarch = world war, infinityward = modern

or even take it forward like the series revolution where world war decimates the future and we make do with whatever weapons are scrounged from museums etc?

Sorry but im bored of these games now and its not going to be too long before it turns into ghost recon future shite !

I'm hoping for the next gen console we get a really good WWII shooter.

I would love a return to WW2 in fact I hope and pray Treyarch make a sequel for World At War. That game for me was my favorite in the series, I had so much fun playing it.

Black Ops was a sequel to WaW. WaW ended with the Soviet Union toppling the Reichstag. So while I agree, a new story may be needed.

I personally think they left the Cold War Era too quickly. There are a lot of avenues they could have explored to keep things interesting and we could still have decently newer weapons.

I suppose it was kinda sequel but I mean a direct one, like sticking strictly to WW2 or at least expanding into the Korean War.
