Achievements not unlocking in Windows 8 version?

So I downloaded the trial and played some time and got about 90 stars. Then I bought the full game and my progress stayed but I got no achievements at all. I wouldn't want to play it all again. Anyone else had this problem?

edit: They finally popped after I swtiched between Desktop and the game a couple of times

There is a delay in achievements to pop in many games .. Xbox live on Windows 8 isn't smooth as Xbox 360
Not to mention the time taken to Sign in on starting the game .. :/
