Life bar question

I decided to buy Dead Island again and had my save from USB for Xian, level 54.

My question is I don't remember Xian's life bar that small. She has 9 bars that represents life bar. Is that normal? I thought she supposed to have a bigger life bar like 12 bars instead of 9 bars. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Edit: I knew it. I did jumped off to get myself killed. It had a bigger life bar than it was then it started to decrease the life bar. Why?

Sam gets a huge life bar. The girls is a good bit smaller. On a respawn (like your fall) you get a bunch of health that slowly decreases back to normal.

Yeah, I found out. It was for respawn in case if you are in a middle of zombie hordes to give you increase health bar for temporary time then goes back to normal health bar. Sorry, it has been ages since I played this game but thanks.
