Questoin about coop

Been searching but i'm still not 100% about it.

Is the coop basically like playing single player with a friend? Like say Gears of War?
Thinking about getting it but just to play with someone but were not sure yet, we've gotten a few games that said coop but turned out to be just a separate lame coop mode or something.

Basically just wanna play through the whole game with someone.

It's basically the same as Gears of War. You can start any mission of the campaign on any difficulty with up to three other players.

Its not just indivigiual missions is it? I mean like you start the game, and it keeps goin through he whole game? if you quit do you have to start the mission over?

If you use the mission select feature I believe it will only play through the individual missions. However, you could try starting a fresh new playthrough in co-op and see if it would work.

I don't think so. There should be a 'Resume Campaign' option but I can't quite remember off the top of my head.

I highly recommend this game though. The campaign is absolutely brilliant and unique and the multiplayer is relatively fun as well. If you're more of a co-op person, then you should give Guerilla mode a shot. It's essentially a horde mode in which you face up to 50 waves of enemies that get increasingly harder. You also get things called 'Wave Streaks' if you manage to survive a certain number of waves in a row (streaks such as predator missiles, mini-turrets, airstrikes, invisible camo, etc.) that make it even more fun. The game has a great combination of single player, multiplayer, and co-operative gameplay and I'd recommend it to anybody.
