Amazing tip to everyone who has trouble beating Solo Legendary

Can anyone explain in more detail how to do this? I've never really played Halo, and I'm awful and don't really like the game, but my girlfriend got it for me for Christmas, so yeah, I can't not play it. Last night I tried loading a mission rally point, I think for the prologue, set it to legendary and it just started from the beginning. More explanation or a video maybe?

SWEET, thanks for the tip. Finished the game in a few hours plowing through on easy then using tip on legendary. Like stated got my chevies but not the challenges.

Just make sure to play the mission On an easier setting first, then after completing the level go back to the loading screen, change the settings to legendary and select the mission again. Once it has been completed you will have options on where to start. Pick the last option it shows and play it from there, it will count as beating the mission on legendary. I was in the same boat, my girl got it for me as we'll. good luck!

Ah, thanks. I tried doing the last part of Requiem on Legendary, and I died within, like, 15 seconds. I'm not good at all, so this will probably still be hard for me. >.<

Holy F-ing Hell! I have two missions left to do on Legendary solo and have been putting it off cuz I keep getting killed at one checkpoint. Totally gonna do this trick ASAP!

Apparently it is fixed? Just ran through midnight checkpoint Charlie on legendary and no cheevo �� . Oh well I have done all the others on legendary solo might as well do this one too.

Did you do the last checkpoint on each level? Or just the last level? I am yet to give this a go, not sure whether to bother now.

Just the final level. That is probably my problem �� that is what I get for trying to shirk my responsibilities in actually playing the game. It does show that I have completed midnight on legendary however when I looked. Playing thru the game on legendary now. Glad to know I won't have to play that last level again though. That flying crap damn near gave me an aneurism on normal.

Thanks again OP for the tip. I loved the story and cutscenes, but the gameplay was too familiar so I got quickly bored and annoyed by the campaign. So glad to be finally done with the single player once and for all.

Yep all is fair in achievements. That being said I only care about the campaign and Spartan ops. I detest multi player and am glad that they only release multi player map packs for a ton of these games (halo/cod/mw/etc). Saves me a ton of money ��

I only got this game a few days ago now and just started on Legendary. I wouldn't say it's too hard, so I'm just going full on and doing it legit. Sweet game so far, just started mission 4.

The elites / knights are a pain in the ass on legendary, even when disabling their armour :/

So I'm just going to try and do this, I've done the first 3 missions and I've got credit. If I look at my campaign stats on multiplayer though, it says I haven't completed any missions on legendary.

I can confirm that this still works like a charm(1/16/13).
Next thing I might(!) try is SLASO for the very last rally point. I've seen someone post on the waypoint forums that only the last missions with all skulls(minus Blind?) is required for the (S)LASO stuff...
EDIT:
I advise you all to use the guide for legendary pinned in this forum. It works like a charm and all the weapons suggested can still be acquired by "rallying".

I was asking for the Waypoint link since the legendary guide doesn't help that much with killing knights with the skulls on. It takes at least 2 shots to kill a knight with the incineration cannon alone, so what makes any other weapon effective? I did it with a friend and we basically distracted the hell out of them and melee them from behind.

We also started from rally point charlie, all skulls but blind, and didn't get access for the emblem. It also showed co-op legendary completed, so completing the level wasn't the issue.

Okay, guys.
I can confirm that it works for the LASO emblem+50.000 EXP as well, but-even better- it's piss poor easy.Even a chimp could do it.

*Please note*
I did this after beating the campaign on legendary alone with the rally point method. I guess this should work regardless.
Also you should check out the links and look at the other videos related to beat the campaign even faster on legendary alone.

Here's how to do it:
Load up Reclaimer Last Rally Point and follow this video:

I found his method of flying to the railing(?) at ~13:03 quite hard to recreate. Instead I walked carefully through the mountain, dropped down to below that railing thingy and from there flew to the other side. Below the point where he actually enters the level again(forerunner structure) is a patch of ground with some grass and dirt. There you can stand as well, fly up and emerge in the same spot he does in the video.

I died when I tried to board the ghost at ~17:18 in the video. Instead follow this guy's video:

At ~7:25+ you can either do what he does(obviously) or do it the way I did it and run around the right side to that spot. Felt safer and I'm certain it is.
Then just continue on and end it.

I assume it does.
In single-player it showed the Legendary badge after every (rally point) mission, and in the end I got the achievement, so I assume if it gives you the co-op badge as well, you're fine. Of course no guarantee.

It worked for you?
Two of my friends did it with me in co-op and they weren't able to redeem it.
My best guess is that you need to beat the campaign solo legendary first for the LASO trick to work, but then again it's a glitch...

Have they beaten campaign legendary co-op yet? I did midnight and reclaimer and still couldn't redeem the code, but I haven't did legendary co-op.
