Where are the missions

I am only on chapter 2 and I seem to have run out of missions to do.I have 3 running missions like bringing food and taking booze to a bitch in a hut on the sea,plus 1 other mission which is finding the crashed plane.I have driven all over the place trying to start off a random mission which did happen when I had to help a bloke stuck in an upturned car,but nothing else.
The mission giver icon has vanished from the mini map and I am just driving around getting bored shitless.
Any ideas how I kick of some more missions.

Sorted now.I think the game may have glitched on me as the next time I turned it on there were missions everywhere.
