The Cauldron Base Mantis

I was playing some spartan ops matchmaking on the cauldron base to get the wheelman commendation to master but instead of getting warthogs we got mantises. Has this happened to anybody else or is it just me?

ps. I started the game with 4 people but even before the game actually started 2 people already left. Can this be the reason why we got mantises instead of warthogs?

On Cauldron Base you always get Manti(?), are you meaning Spartan Thorne?

I get Mantis when playing local (solo or party) and warthogs when doing matchmaking. I haven't done matchmaking with a 4 player party tho. Do not know if that makes a difference.

1-2 you get Mantis, 3-4 you get Warthogs.
