Introduction:

Hello and welcome to achievement guide for Epic Mickey 2 : The Power of Two. There are quite a few missable achievements, look below..
A few pointers;

1. When you make 'choices' you'll get one pin and miss out on another, these missed pins can be found in the Pin Trader shop
2. You can go back through levels to find Pins, film reels etc. There is no current way to be able to earn both 'Off Track' and 'Running the Gauntlet' in the same playthrough as 'Perfectionist'. There is also a secret achievement that you may miss and have to redo on another playthrough - 'Blot Alley Superstar'.
3. 'Hidden Heroes' - some photos are become unobtainable as you progress through the game, so as soon as you get to an area look for those pics!

Suggested method -
Playthrough 1 - Avoid trying to collect everything and completing all side quests. Learn how to beat the bosses and the paths through the levels and focus on collecting 'Off Track', 'Running the Gauntlet', 'Make Your Own Way', 'Tunnel Mouse'. You'll earn alot of other achievements as you progress the story. Use thinner wherever possible and avoid undertaking any train station quests

Playthrough 2 - Now you know what you're doing, this is where you want to complete all side quests, collect all pins, film reels and costumes. By doing the other achievements in playthrough 1 you shouldn't have to worry about missing the others such as 'Perfectionist' or 'Pin collector'.

The achievements highlighted below as 'Lot 1' cannot be got together in the same playthrough as 'Lot 2'.
Lot 1 - Off Track, Running the Gauntlet, Make Your Own Way, Tunnel Mouse

Lot 2 - Devoted / Master Pin Collector, Perfectionist, Film Buff, Blot Alley Superstar

The game recognises achievements as 'challenges', so if you're playing to get 'Perfectionist' and the 'Running the Gauntlet' challenge complete pops up, you won't be able to get Perfectionist as the gauntlet challenge prevents you getting one of the quests.

Level notes;
OsTown - whoever you help in your first visit (Prescott or Goofy) will NOT prevent you getting the Heroes of Wasteland achievement in your second visit

Rainbow Falls - when you get to an area with small Pete and you need to fix the substation, how you fix it determines if you go to a D.E.C or Projector. If you're going for 'Tunnel Mouse' then use thinner/fireworks to fix the substation. If you're going for 'Film Buff' then use paint and the secret Mickey clock under the lifting platform to fix pipes

Disney Gulch - Make sure you get all 3 spheres on the train before you leave

The Blotworx Dragon - Remember to take a photo of the dragon, doesn't matter if you paint or thin the boss

Bog Easy - There is a Micky photo on the side of the wall to the right of the locked graveyard, take it before you leave as it becomes unobtainable later

Blot Alley - If you're going for 'Perfectionist' and 'Blot Alley Superstar' ensure you do not destroy any enemies. If you're going for 'Running the Gauntlet' instead, go destroying! If Ian the Ghost either says you won't see him again, or you didn't do a great job then you won't get a quest needed for 'Perfectionist'

Fort Wasteland - If you're going for 'Tunnel Mouse' use thinner everywhere you can, if you're going for 'Film Buff' then use paint everywhere, you can't get both achievements in the same playthrough


Achievements

10 Apprentice Pin Collector
Acquired a Collectible Pin for the first time

When you start the level 'The Observatory' you'll eventually come to a room with a painting on the wall, you'll be given a choice to either paint or use thinner on the painting. Paint it to reveal a red chest which contains the 'Mousterpiece' pin. This pin is a 'collectible' pin.

10 Clear!
Mickey revived Oswald while playing co-op

At some point when playing co-op, allow Oswald to take a few hits from enemies which will turn him into a puddle. Use Mickey to paint the puddle before it disappears to revive Oswald.

25 Devoted Pin Collector
Found 88 Collectible Pins

Collected every costume

10 Dress-up
Changed costumes for the first time

You need to find or buy all three pieces of a costume, the easiest way is to visit the Mad Hatter in Mean Street South and purchase a costume here. You can change into the costume in the shop to the right of the Hatter.

20 Fall from grace
Entered Angel Falls, exited Devil Falls

When you come to the projector that is an exit from Angel Falls, look to your left and downwards. You'll see a stone area lower down which has an exit - glide down here and you'll be on the Devil Falls side. Go down through the exit for the achievement.

30 Film Buff
Collected every 2D film reel

10 Get with the program
Reprogrammed a Beetleworx

The first time you arrive in the D.E.C area Gus explains one of Oswald's abilities - to reprogram Beetleworx via his remote control. Leave the Hopper that appears to Oswald who will reprogram it. If you are playing co-op then you will be guided on what buttons to press using Oswald.

20 Heads Up
Matched Seth's flowers to OsTown's statue

You will need to complete the side quest 'Goofy's Fountain Mishap' and build the statue first (see Heroes of Wasteland achievement). Once this is done you then need to complete the 'Finding the Hidden Heroes' quest where you take various pictures of Mickey and Oswald shapes.

You MUST make sure that you hand in more pictures of whoever's head you chose to put on the statue. So if you put Oswald's head onto the statue first, hand in more Oswald photos in the beginning. Once the garden images match the statue, take a photo of the statue and take it to Seth in Mean Street South.

25 Heroes of Wasteland
Built both statues in OsTown

Upon your second visit to OsTown Goofy will have a quest for you called 'Goofy's Fountain Mishap'. You'll need to go into the sinkhole in the middle of the map and recover the statue pieces by moving them to Transport Tubes. At the very bottom of the sinkhole you will find two paths, one leads to a Mickey head and the other to Oswald.

Collect the heads and then go and put Oswald's head on the town statue. The third time you come back to Ostown you will find the Gag Factory where Gremlin Maroon can build a Mickey statue in exchange for scrap metal. This will give you the Heroes of Wasteland pin and achievement.

10 Junker
Destroyed 50 enemies

As you play through the game you'll have the opportunity to either destroy or befriend enemies. As there are achievements for doing both make sure to occasionally destroy and befriend enemies, there's so many that you'll get this in no time.


20 Lab Tested
Finished Yen Sid's Lab

This is a story related achievement and cannot be missed. Once you've completed Mickey's tutorial level in Yen Sid's lab you will get this.

25 Make Your Own Way
Ignored Daisy AND Smee's suggestions


You'll get a quest from Daisy at the DNN building in Ventureland in which you'll need to to collect the pieces of Captain Hook's costume. Gus advises you to speak to Smee after Daisy. Once you've spoken to Smee go and jump onto the DNN building. Paint the ledge and jump to the top. In front of you is a water spout of thinner, double jump to the edge of this and double jump again to the wooden platforms. Go to the right, paint the next platform and there's a hut on your left. Go through here until the end.

75 Master Pin Collector
Collected 176 Collectible Pins

10 Not-So-Sleepy Hollow
Revealed every Knothole surprise

During your second trip to Bog Easy there are several green e-tickets hidden within the graveyard in Old Town. The first sits under a Thinnable mound of dirt to the left after you enter. Another green E-ticket can be found by thinning the tree between two crypts on the right side of the graveyard. An additional green E-ticket rests inside the other tree to the left. One green E-ticket can be found by thinning the emblem on the back fence of the graveyard and others are around this area.

25 Off Track
Shuttered all four train stations

This achievement is missable if you complete any train station related quests

Do not do any of the train station related quests if you want to get this. Unfortunately you'll have to complete the entire storyline before you get it though, once completed and back in Mean Street North go and visit every train conductor. They will tell you that the station has been destroyed, do this for all four areas and you'll get it.

10 Oswald's New Groove
Finished Dark Beauty Castle with two players

Once you've completed the tutorial level with Mickey you'll start Dark Beauty Castle where Oswald and Mickey can play together for the first time. Complete this level in co-op to unlock the achievement.

75 Perfectionist
Finished all quests

Aside from the main storyline quests, there are a total of 20 side quests that you must complete;
Unfortunately it's very easy to miss some depending on choices you make through various missions. I'll do my best to highlight these quests and what you need to do to ensure you don't miss them.

20 Projector Corrector
Restarted the Rainbow Falls Substation

In Rainbow Falls you eventually come to the Substation where small Pete is. Fix the various pipes as he instructs you to earn the achievement.

10 Recycler
Befriended 50 enemies

Throughout the game you can choose whether to destroy or befriend enemies, there's so many that that you'll earn this achievement and the one for destroying enemies as long as you occasionally switch between destroying and befriending.

20 Rogues Gallery
Photographed every enemy

After you get the camera at the beginning of the game make sure to take a photograph of every unique enemy that you come across including the Boss enemies. I will post a list of the names of the enemies when I have it.


30 Staff Photographer
Got all Adelle's photos from the official Picture Spots

Complete the 'The Encyclopaedia Wastelandica' side quest to earn this achievement.

50 Statue Garden
Awakened every Spirit

You will need to collect specific combinations of pins in order to wake all the spirits.

See the 'We've got Spirit, Yes We Do!' achievement on how to wake one spirit easily

Most of the pins you'll come across by making choices - whenever you make a choice there is a pin that you miss, however these will then turn up in the black grab bags at the Pin trader. I will upload a list on where these pins are shortly.

25 Thinderella
Destroyed 100 enemies

Throughout the game you can choose whether to destroy or befriend enemies, there's so many that that you'll earn this achievement and the one for befriending enemies as long as you occasionally switch between destroying and befriending.

10 Tunnel Mouse
Played through every D.E.C

Missable achievement!

There are five versions of the D.E.C, four of which you'll go through as part of the storyline. Once you've got into the entrance of the D.E.C in Mean Street North you'll go through the first one.

Number 2 comes after OsTown, 3 comes after Rainbow Falls, 4 after Rainbow Caverns. To access number 5, you need to take the 'thinner' path through Fort Wasteland which involves thinning all the enemies instead of befriending them. If you've passed this level and befriended the enemies you may not be able to access this DEC. Make sure to get it on your 2nd playthrough if not.

20 Walking the Mean Streets
Navigated both halves of Mean Street

Once you've enter the D.E.C for the first time you've have fully navigated both halves of Mean Street which will unlock the achievement.

10 We've Got Spirit, Yes We Do!
Awakened a Spirit


The easiest spirits to awaken are either Heritage or Individualism.

By completing the pump task in OsTown, you were awarded either the Pump It Up Pin or the Don’t Know My Own Strength Pin.

If you helped Goofy in this task, go and buy the 'Oswald the Lucky Rabbit' pin from the pin trader

This awakens the Spirit of Heritage.

If you helped Prescott in this task, go and buy the 'Big Bad Pete' pin from the pin trader

This awakens the Spirit of Individualism.

10 When You Wish Upon A Star
Painted every star and comet in Yen Sid's Lab

When you first get the paintbrush you'll be in the 'Brush Realm'. As you make your way along painting the path be sure to paint all stars and comets as you go, you can see these as faint objects in the sky both to your left and right.

Secret Achievements

10 Blot Alley Superstar
Befriended the Blotworx and helped Petetronic

Petetronic will ask you to help defend club 13 during the storyline, befriend all the enemies to earn this achievement. Destroying any will prevent you from getting this achievement!

30 Dragon Defeat
Defeated the Blotworx Dragon

This cannot be missed as it's part of the storyline. Defeat the dragon using either paint or thinner. If you paint him, when a specific area of the dragon is fully painted you'll see confetti, this indicates you need to paint another part of his body.

20 Fortified
Scouted a path through Fort Wasteland

Story related and can't be missed. Complete Fort Wasteland to earn this achievement.

20 Full-court Prescott
Chased Prescott through the Floatyard

Story related and can't be missed, take either path through the Floatyard to earn this.

20 Go with the Flow
Solved OsTown's Thinner problem

Complete the quest 'Goofy's Fountain Mishap' by helping Goofy or Prescott to earn this.

20 Hard Hat Area
Got through Ventureland's construction area

Story related and can't be missed. Complete Ventureland to earn this achievement.

10 Race the Autopia Speedway
Completed a race in Autopia

On your second visit to Autopia a former racer called Gilda asks you for help to rebuild Autopia's racetrack. When you've found the materials you will be able to race, depending on previous choices made on your first visit to Autopia you will either race a time trial or a demolition derby.

20 Running the Gauntlet
Got through Blot Alley by any means

This is a missable achievement

Ian the Ghost asks you to not harm any blotlings as you go through Blot Alley, by ignoring him and destroying them you will get this achievement. This means that you will miss out on a quest and thus miss out on 'Perfectionist'.

20 Siphon...Siphoff...
Dealt with all the Guardian Siphons

In Autopia you will come to three large Guardian Siphons, you can disable each of these towers on the Paint path by having Mickey stand on pressure plates while Oswald reprograms the revealed access ports. For the Thinner method, thin out cars to get parts to block the towers’ vacuum vents and cause the access ports to overload.


30 The Bigger They Are...
Defeated Prescott's mechanical creation

Story related and can't be missed, occurs during the mission 'Prescott's Arena'

20 Things Are Worxing Out
Opened the way to Blot Alley

When you get off the Steamboat in Bog Easy you'll come to an area where Ian the Ghost runs off. You can either reprogram the spinners to destroy the wall with the projector or use fireworks on them. Before you do either take a photo of the Mickey picture on this destructable wall as part of the 'Hidden Heroes' quest. If you don't take it you'll not be able to get this picture again.

Going through the projector unlocks the achievement.

20 Trailblazer
Braved Disney Gulch

Story related and cannot be missed. Once you've powered up the train in the gulch you can go onto the lab area which unlocks this achievement.

20 Tryptic
Dealt with all 3 dioramas

Story related and cannot be missed. The main objective in the Train Tunnels is to fix or disable them, no matter what you choose you'll earn the achievement.

30 You Must be This Tall to Ride
Defeated the Mad Doctor's new ride

Story related and cannot be missed. Defeat the final boss on the final level to earn this achievement.

20 Your Conscience Be Your Guide
Found a way through the Rainbow Caverns

Story related and cannot be missed, complete Rainbow Caverns to earn this achievement.

Apprentice Pin Collector

Acquired a Collectible Pin for the first time <--Move up

Following on from that, can you add the gamerscore number next to the achievement title. So all achievement should look like the following.

Up to you if you add bold to the description of the achievement or not.

Off Track
Shuttered all four train stations

This achievement is missable if you complete any train station related quests

Do not do any of the train station related quests, this will cause the quakes to eventually destroy all of the stations earning you the achievement.

So your telling me it's either this, or the complete all quest achievement?

From what I can see and from what I've found, yes. I haven't found anyway to do both Perfectionist and Off Track within the same playthrough.

Did you save him yet? You have to do that first.

Then yeah, you have to save him. He's in some trees that you can remove. Just use your map for the location.

Yup, there are two spots that you can remove the tops of the trees.

You blow it up with fireworks, but the thing is. If you never took of a photo of it you will loose it forever. The fireworks are near the upper right side of the map.

I can´t remeber taking a pic of it, indeed.
But, it´s necessary for what?

Also, it would be very good to put some instructions along with the quests, some of them are a little tricky. For example, the one with the pictures for the retired pirates. One of them asks for "critters hopping in front o mothers house". I only realised what it meant AFTER I´ve sent all of the hopping bunnies to the ice cream shop (in the quest The Bunny Wrangles"...
Now I´m stuck with the other pirate picture´s requests...

I thought it was important to list all the side quests first, I know how to do them all so will have to do a seperate thread as it will take up too much space in this thread, but I won't have it ready for a couple of days

you will need to take all photos to complete one of the quests which leads to the perfectionist achievement. the problem is, if you miss out on the perfectionist you'll have to redo the playthrough, and remember you can't do 'running the gauntlet' or 'off track' at the same time, so you're possibly looking at 3 playthroughs..

so i finally found that gremlin in the treetops of autotopia, now i need 4 tires, are they hidden in autotopia altso, or are they somewhere else? because i have searched around all autotopia and not found any now

great work so far, but i there if i read right you said there was 2 missable pictures, i think it is 3, there is one on the wall beside the graveyard in bog easy that have a hidden mickey on it, later on there will be built a house there, and there are the one right outside the photo shop, and the one on the wall you said that will break (not seen that myself yet, probaly have seen it but not noticed :P )

Yeah it's annoying. The missable ach's are now up to 8 as you can't get off track at same time as pin collectors either. I would advise anyone to hold off doing further playthrough's until I have finished all parts of the guide this weekend.

Oh, so that picture in the shop was one of the heroes. I have all of them in MEan Streets, so no prob. I hace all of the picture´s of Encyclopaedia too, I justneed to turn in the quest now.

Now, which quest you miss in the Bog Alley, if you not do that section befriending the creatures, like you mentioned in the guide?

They are hidden in the big cars, just hit them or jump on them and they will pop out.

i'm on my 3rd playthrough :P also discovered that the reel from Band Concert V2 can be missable if you did not get the reel before you opened the secret exit with the Old Mill V3, because when i take the Band Concert V2 it seems that i only get to Prescott's Area, and when i try to take the projector back it sends me to Old Mill V3, and Also the Donald's Date quest are missable if you leave the are without delivering the cog wheel thingy and that stuff first

for the Watch the Skies! quest, there are one item i can't seem to find, copernicus says it has landed in the middle of the mad doctors old junk bridge, is that the bridge thingy after Disney Gulch? have searched through the area there but can't seem to find it, but are getting close to knowing what to get and do on most of the quest now, the biggest pain at the moment are really where to take pictures of all the hidden mickeys xD

I've noticed 3 reels that are locked away behind a door. One at the fort behind a wooden unopenable door(for me) / and 2 at the floatyard, one behind some bars near the right path and the one locked away by that eye. I think those link up though.
