Am I screwed?

I don't want to further piss myself off by wasting time finding out, but recently my piece of shit hard drive died and I lost every save I've ever had.

Will I be able to play on nightmare, or will I have to beat all the campaigns again to unlock it?

I can't be sure about your specific situation, but I accidentally erased all of my save data and was able to start RoE and Doom 3 on Nightmare from the start. I had already beaten them on Normal/Marine, and started both campaigns on Nightmare with 0 saves. Maybe you're still okay.

Sorry to say you will probably have to replay them. I wouldn't mind though unless it was for collectables again. I'm glad my first run through the main Doom 3 game I managed to get ALL the achievements apart from Nightmare.

I still have to do RoE and LM.

Shit. I burned myself out on Doom 3 when I played the xbox version before BFG was announced. I'll probably download a save file then.
