Actually it's pretty much useless in this game, I got gold for it. The Lag Compensation ruins the point of it, enemies just strafe to the side and kill you. It doesn't have it's stun ability from MW2, has no perks to boost melee speed, damage, & Range. Takes two hits to kill a person. Majority of the time the melee hits don't register. There is no melee lunge what so ever.

Treyarc made it God Awful.

i do not wish to get any gun in gold,

1. gold is shit, and diamond is even more shit (my opinion)
2. it takes time, i just want to kill people and play the objective, not take all perks of and attachments off and all the other stuff.

i havent even gotten 100 headshots with a gun, because i get bored of using the same gun.

never got any gold guns in mw3, 30-31 was the same as 1-30 more fun using 2 different weapons and getting a lot more xp, than getting a shitty goldish camo that you will loose.

i may get gold one day, but who cares, i wont use it anyway

the only thing i want in gold is a stinger!

I didn't wan't to start a new thread so I found this one. Now that the game has been out awhile how many guns do you have Gold/Diamond now?
It's been a grind but I have Diamond LMG's, Shotguns, SMG's and Launchers. The best looking one is my MK48 that thing is awesome looking.
Makes me sick to think about doing the AR's, not sure I will go for diamond on them. Those 150 kills with no perks/attachments are a real killer on the K/D.

0 for me. I have a lot of guns that could be gold if I just did the no perks challenge. Does anyone know how weapon leveling works? Is it just based on kills with the gun? Maybe it's just me, but it doesn't feel like it is.

Assists also count towards weapon rank, so kills and kill assists.
