Every Ambush Event in 33 Seconds or Less
Ambush seemed hard at first, but I made it my goal to finish them as fast as possible. My first couple attempts in each event was just looking for paths to exploit - Areas that make it difficult or impossible for cops to get through. Also driving through areas where police are prone to crashing.
Once I found a consistent path, it was just replaying it over and over until I got the fastest time possible. There's a little luck involved in the way the police will spawn, but it seems mostly pre-determined and they'll either spawn at point A or point B. Below you'll see videos and explanations for every ambush. The same paths should work for you too. Again, there's some luck involved so you'll probably have to retry a few times. And unless you're going for the fastest possible time like me, you should probably get some extra distance before stopping and turning off the engine. Bloody Nose There's almost always a roadblock in the next part. Either right in front of the bridge, or at the end of the next block. If they're at the bridge, it really hurts your time. If they spawn the way they do in this video, it's easy to just turn right and into the alley for a quick cooldown. The Hunted Driving up to the roof takes alot of time, and there's always a road block with two spike strips when you jump off. It's much easier to just do a 180 right at the start. Take down that first cop to score some nitrous. Usually there's a two SUV roadblock in the doorway. When it's not there, you usually get followed by some other cops. Once you get out of there, it's just jumping into the construction yard and turning off the engine. The Fugitive Drive straight towards the cliff and e-brake when you get close. The two cops following you will pull a Lemmings and drive off the edge. Do a 180 and hide behind a plane. The warehouse just ahead of the plane is a bit safer, but the plane shaves around a second off your time. If you don't skip the intro, you get some extra nitrous at the beginning.Double Parked It's hard for the police to follow you after the first little billboard jump. Sometimes you get unlucky and some cops will spawn in the area you land in. Otherwise you're pretty much home free after taking a left out of there. Find a place to hide so any stray cops won't see you.Storehouse Stakeout Taking a left through that little gap at the start gets the cops off your back pretty much instantly. Their pathing doesn't allow them to go through here, so they have to go all the way around to follow you. Then it's just a matter of hitting the nitrous and getting out of the pursuit radius. There are better hiding spots, but sometimes you get lucky. I just e-braked there for the sake of time. You can also keep driving further down the canal to get some extra distance from the cops. Liberty Park This chase pretty much hinged on the cops inability to make a sharp right turn at the beginning. Then some luck in not having a road block spawn on that street. There's alot of other easy ways to escape since there's lots of turns and jumps in the park to help outmaneuver cops. On another run, I drove into the water and respawned in cooldown, which ended the pursuit half a second longer than this one. Last edited by bs000; 11-15-2012 at 01:04 AM. |
