Guys major help, how do I add a picture to this it's just getting beyond annoying not having one...

top left corner, you should see a box, with a blue outline of an avatar. in that box, where your message count is, click 'unread'.

on this page, scroll down, and click on the left hand side, 'edit avatar' and you can choose a stock picture or upload your own. when you have a picture selected, click 'save changes' at the bottom.

make sure you click edit avatar though and NOT edit picture as this is your profile picture that can only be seen on your profile and not your posts.

It keeps coming up with this screen that won't let me for some reason...

Says about not having 5 posts on the forums or something..

I'm having the same problem but I have 5 posts and it says upload failed but I have the correct amount of KBs lower then at that but still nothing.

There is kb limit as well as a pixal limit

Also perhaps one of the veteran posters could put together a guide to help all the pleebs logging on for the first time who would like some help.

I got my Avatar to appear in the forums, but i still can't get it to show in the upper left corner. There's always that blue outline, it drive's me crazy.

No, you can post almost anywhere for it to count as a post as long as it is not spam. The areas that do not count toward post count are Member Profiles and anything under Off Topic.

There are guides for this and other stuff already. The problem is when newbies have questions, they post new topics rather then looking to see if it has been answered somewhere
