My Impossible game's panic level -- am I screwed?

I'm wondering if this Impossible game is worth continuing. First of all, see the attached picture to see what my current situation is with the Doom Tracker, panic levels, and satellites (and the fact that I'm lacking in Sat Uplinks).

I have the alien base available but haven't done it yet, and I'm 7 days away from my next Council Report. I'm pretty sure that finishing the alien base mission will reduce all panic levels (right?), so I HAVE to do it before the Council Report.

So I'm not currently screwed, but I wonder what my future prospects will be...

BTW -- my Doom Tracker should've been at 5, but I skipped the first Terror Mission because I was woefully unprepared. And I paid the price.

My first words were holy shit haha. I would suggest doing the alien base and getting full world coverage ASAP, you should be ok for this month once you take the base out however you need to get full coverage on everything else. You will struggle to get cash however your not completely boned lol. I would go for a quick game and try and get the temple ship done in the next 2/3 months

If I do the alien base now, I'll get an across-the-board panic reduction. A few days later I'll get my Council money, and build a few more satellites and 1 or 2 satellite uplinks.

So basically, I'll have 3 more satellites in orbit, ~15 days after the Council Report.

I guess the only thing that I need to be worried about is those random Abduction missions. As soon as one hits, you know that 2 countries are about to go red.

Quit and restart. A little bit of bad luck will see you miserably lose the game with nothing to do about it. It only takes a few hours to get back to where you are. Do it better.
Also, focus on getting the NA continent bonus if possible and start as Africa (so you can let the other two worthless countries die out and keep the bonus). The NA bonus is fantastic for helping spread firestorms and is easily the second-best option.

Im having similar isues:cant submit but im at near endgame (i think and no missions available because all panic levels are too high, and not decreasing(or something)....think i might have to restart

LOL WTF happened?

I gave a tactic for impossible in another thread using the North America as a start.

Now sell all items through grey market and build a workshop. Shortly later in gametime hours and your first UFO, sell everything from it. Now build 2 more satellites and a Satellite-Uplink. By the end of month 1 you will have launched 3 satellites and have 1 in reserve. You will unfortunately lose 1 country. Build a powerplant now and continue choosing engineer abduction rewards and build more Satellites and Uplinks. You will by month 3 have completely covered the globe having lost at max 4 countries. With the game ending month 4 possibly 5 depending on how quick you level your PSI.

The most important continents are South America and Africa for their bonuses these are invaluable to your game.
Just adding to alternate between cash rewards and engineers, making full use of uplinks and satellites. While also keeping necessary items for research. Try to geoscape full coverage with your remaining countries, prior to going to the alien base. In doing so fully catching up on research. Afterwards you can easily concentrate on going to the mothership without annoying missions.

It is safe to say your done like a kipper in this game though. Unless you getting to da Chopper quicktime and run the alien base for globe reduction.

Once the game has you going to the alien base, is there a way to put it off?

When I go to scan, the mission for attacking the alien base pops up every time. My guys are too weak, don't even have lasers yet and my best trained guys are injured for a few more days. Am I boned?

I figured it out. When you go to scan, you can hit up and down. It auto selected to attack the base, so every time I'd hit A, it would try to do that. I moved the selection down to scan and it worked.

DOH!
