Is this a good purchase?
So I played the trial and enjoyed that, but just wondering if the full game is worth 1200 points? I don't intend to use those 'tips' for puzzles, so that I don't go through the game too quickly.
Just asking because I don't have any points on my account at the moment, and 1200 points is around £13 GBP, and Crackdown 2 is £12 in game stores and I was thinking about getting that. Thanks. |

It's not terribly long, but I'm at 99% currently and I've enjoyed it immensely. It's the kind of truly unique experience which I've really been keen on lately. However, I really believe they should have charged 800 for it considering it's length and limited replay value. Perhaps you should wait for the inevitable 400 point discount.
As far as Crackdown 2 goes, I'd advise you to rent rather than buy. It's not necessarily a bad game, but it's without a doubt one of the laziest sequels I've ever played. I had the full 1000 and had no desire to play any further after 4 or 5 days of moderate playing. If you don't have 3 other people to play with, you'll get even less out of it. I will say that the wingsuit was a definite improvement and once you master it, it's loads of fun.

I would compare it to costume quest. I think it was similar length but I had fun

Definitely worth it, I loved this game, and can't wait for the DLC. Not too many original games come out that are this unique and fun.

Alright! After much debate on whether to drop the 1,200 points for this (the demo was enjoyable but I wasn't sure if it was 1,200 points (plus whatever the expansion will be) enjoyable hehe), I've decided I'm going to splurge (already did it with getting two avatar lightsabers when I only intended to get one!) and purchase this! So, based on my luck, expect a reduction in price in the very near future. :P

I really enjoyed it, but paying $15 for something that I got 200/200 out of in two short nights of playing was a bit disappointing. The game was short, the puzzles were mostly easy (rarely used more than two clues, if that) and all the hi-jinx and unique dolls were barely hidden. I loved the concept, but they really could have done a lot more to expand the experience - just by making it more difficult!
Instant buy at 800MSP if there is a sale, get it at 1200MSP if you're not too worried about money. ![]() Edit: Hopefully the Hobo King DLC is 400 or less. As much as I want more time with the game (for all the reasons I stated above), I really don't think one level of the game is worth more than five bucks, considering you only get three full levels and a hub for $15 which is overpriced as it is.

Fantastic game, just very straight-forward wholesome fun. The only thing I could say in the negative about it is the obvious price. At 1200msp plus extra for the DLC, it is very pricey, at 800msp this would have been truly unmissable.
Very original, and entertaining gameplay regardless of the price

I agree I hate spending out much on XBLA games, but Stacking is one that I did not regret whatsoever. Definitely worth the 1200 if anyone ever doubts it.

Idk, I'm probably going to wait until it (if it ever), goes on sale on DoTW. I have a hard time spending 1200 points on an arcade game, regardless if it's a stellar game.

I'll just throw it out there in case anyone sees this and is interested.
http://majornelson.com/2011/06/28/co...marketplace-5/ DotW - Stacking - July 5–11 - 50% off (600 MSP) If you don't already have it and have been waiting for it to be on sale.... there you go. |

I played the trial of this ages ago and it seemed fun but the price did put me off.
It's 600 points now though, and at that price i'm certainly going to give it a go! |

I really enjoy it, maybe because it's so different and fresh. A sequel would be nice.

This game is brilliant. It makes you think outside the square to solve some of the puzzles.

This game is definitely worth the asking price. I had so much fun with it, that I couldn't put it down.
